THE PARTYPOKER WORLD POOL MASTERS will be staged in Nottingham for the first time in its 22-year history when the event takes place at the Portland Centre this November 14-16, with tickets on sale Monday, September 29.

The Masters returned to England last year and after a successful staging in Barnsley remains in the UK for 2014, with an exciting field of the world’s best players to be announced soon.

Tickets will be available via SeeTickets.com priced just £5 for Friday evening and Saturday and Sunday afternoon, and £10 for the Saturday and Sunday evening sessions. Fans who don’t want to miss any of the action can take advantage of a £25 season ticket for access to all five sessions.

In its 21 year history, the Masters spent the first ten years in Britain before moving to Holland for a four year spell, interrupted by a return to the UK in 2005 when Raj Hundal lifted the title in Doncaster, a few miles up the road from Barnsley.

The previous six years have seen three Masters in Las Vegas, one in Manila and then Kielce, Poland before last year’s return to England.

Commented Matchroom Sport Chairman Barry Hearn: “We are delighted to be bringing the Masters to Nottingham for the first time.

“The Mosconi Cup in Blackpool has proved a huge sell-out success, and I am sure pool fans will be excited to see the Masters staying in the UK too.

“Some of the biggest names in the world will be playing in the event, including many of the Mosconi Cup’s biggest stars and some of the great players we have seen at the World Cup of Pool, so it really is one not to be missed.”

The Masters will once again sport a $20,000 top prize, and the event will be produced by Matchroom Sport Television who will be making 15 x 1 hour programmes of the tournament for international syndication.

The 2014 PARTYPOKER World Pool Masters is sponsored by PartyPoker.com, the world’s leading online poker site. Cloth is supplied by Iwan Simonis and the Official Balls are Super Aramith. Diamond is the supplier of the Official Table and Predator is the Official Cue.
