Taking place at the Victoria Stadium, the Masters sees 16 top international players competing in the shadow of the Rock of Gibraltar to determine the destination of the $20,000 top prize. The whole event is broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK & Ireland and on networks around the world. Defending champion Shane Van Boening got off to a great starts as he looks to win his third consecutive World Pool Masters title. 16th February – Final line-up announced at Dafabet World Pool Masters Immonen and Cheng are last minute subs WITH TWO last minute drop outs due to visa issues, Matchroom Sport can announce the final line-up of the 24th Dafabet World Pool Masters, which gets underway tomorrow Friday, February 17 concluding on Sunday. Cheng Yu Hsuan aka Kevin Cheng (Chinese Taipei), the 2015 US Open Champion, steps in to replace Wu Jiaqing (China) while Hall of Famer Mika Immonen of Finland comes in for Lee Vann Corteza. Taking place at the Victoria Stadium, Gibraltar, the Masters sees 16 top international players competing in the shadow of the Rock of Gibraltar to determine the destination of the $20,000 top prize. David Alcaide (SPA) gewinnt 2017 dafabet World Pool Masters im Finale gegen Jayson Shaw (SCO) mit 8-7. Den 3. Platz belegen Chang Jung-Lin (TW) und Albin Ouschan (AUT). Ab dem kommenden Freitag, den 17. Februar 2017 wird in Gibraltar die 24. Ausgabe des World Pool Masters ausgetragen. Bis zum Sonntag, den 19. Februar werden 16 der besten Pool Billard Spieler der Welt in der Tercentenary Sports Hall um das Gesamtpreisgeld von 80.000$ spielen. Der Gewinner bei diesem von Matchroom Sport organisierten Top-Event kassiert 20.000$. In den letzten beiden Jahren war es US Superstar Shane Van Boening der in sehr überzeugender Manier das World Pool Masters für sich entschieden hat. Am kommenden Freitag startet in Indiana/USA eines der spektakulärsten Pool Billard Turniere des Jahres. Das Derby City Classic 2017 startet somit in seine insgesamt 19. Ausgabe und ist wie in den letzten Jahren auch eine sehr komplexe und fast schon unüberschaubare Veranstaltung. Die ist eher als Kompliment zu verstehen, Pool Billard total 🙂 In der Zeit vom 20. – 28. Januar 2017 wird von den Teilnehmern alles gefordert. Es vergeht kaum ein Tag, an dem die Spieler nicht an einem Turnier oder Side-Event teilnehmen können. Zusätzlich wird es wie gewohnt beim Derby City Classic viele spannende und hochdotierte Money-Matches geben. Es wird neben der 9 Ball Veranstaltung noch 9 Ball Bank, One Pocket, Straight Pool und viele Mini-Turniere geben, um die Spieler bei Laune zu halten. Gerade bei den Bank oder One Pocket Wettbewerben kommt es sehr häufig zu Überraschungen. Eines der Highlights beim Derby City Classic ist die 10 Ball BigFoot Challenge, die auf einem 10 Fuß Pool Billard Tisch der Firma Diamond ausgetragen wird. Ruslan Chinakhov (RUS) gewinnt 2017 World Pool Series: 1st Series im Finale gegen Lee Vann Corteza (PHI) mit 16-6. Den 3. Platz belegen Johann Chua (PHI) und Darren Appleton (GBR). Am kommenden Samstag, den 14. Januar 2017 startet in New York das erste Event der neugegründeten World Pool Series. Die World Pool Series wurde vom ehemaligen 9 Ball Weltmeister und US Open 9 Ball Champion Darren Appleton aus Großbritannien ins Leben gerufen. Darren Appleton und sein Team haben den Anspruch formuliert Pool Billard in den Staaten wieder ein wenig Professioneller zu gestalten und legen den Fokus deutlich auf erhöhte Ausspielziele, ein ganz gutes Preisgeld sowie u.a. einige Anpassungen in Form eines Shoot-Out’s bei Gleichstand. Auch der Gebrauch des Jump-Shots wird deutlich eingeschränkt, pro Partie darf jeder Spieler lediglich zweimal zum Jump Queue greifen, sehr interessant wie wir finden. 28th October – 2016 Mosconi Cup All to play for in Kuwait WITH TEAM USA’s final selection being a straight shoot-out with three players contesting two spots, the European picture is far more complicated with the ‘World’ and ‘Combined’ list reaching their conclusion at next week’s Kuwait 9 Ball Championship. With Holland’s Niels Feijen already in the team after he topped the ‘Euro’ list earlier in the month, there are several players in contention for the final two coveted Mosconi Cup spots. Mosconi Cup XXIII takes place at London’s Alexandra Palace from Tuesday to Friday 6th- 9th December and features two five-man teams representing America and Europe. The tournament comprises a series of singles and doubles matches with the first team to reach 11 points carrying off the famous trophy. Jayson Shaw (SCO) gewinnt 5th Annual Steinway Classic 2016 im Finale gegen Shane Van Boening (USA) mit 15-11. Den 3. Platz belegt Carlo Biado (PHI). Unmittelbar nach den US Open 9 Ball Championships 2016 startet heute die 5. Ausgabe der Steinway Classic in New York. Bis zum nächsten Mittwoch, den 26. Oktober wird ein Großteil der Pool Billard Weltelite im Steinway Classic am Start sein. Natürlich werden fast alle Teilnehmer der US Open 9 Ball Championships dieses 10 Ball Event noch mitnehmen bevor sie die Heimreise antreten. Im letzten Jahr gewann Chang Yu-Lung aus Taiwan das Finale gegen Ko Ping-Chung, ebenfalls Taiwan, mit 13-11 —> 4th Annual Steinway Classic 2015. Dieses Turnier ist Teil der Predator Pro/Am Tour und zählt mittlerweile zu den besten Events in den USA. Einen Favoriten zu bestimmen ist natürlich kaum möglich und sparen wir uns an dieser Stelle.
