Fortune 14/1 ist eine erst kürzlich erschienene App für Android-Smartphones, die es ermöglicht, 14.1- sowie 8-, 9- und 10-Ball-Spiele aufzuzeichnen. Damit nimmt sie lästige Schreibarbeit ab und die Spieler können sich auf das Wesentliche konzentrieren. Im Gegensatz zu anderen erhältlichen Apps erlaubt Fortune 14/1 hierbei das Eingeben fast jeder erdenklichen Situation und nimmt dem Benutzer die Denkarbeit wann immer möglich ab und handelt selbstständig. Ein weiteres Feature, das in bisher keiner anderen vergleichbaren App enthalten ist, ist das optionale Einstellen einer Shot Clock – ein Prinzip, das sich nicht zuletzt im Mosconi Cup bewährt hat und für spannendere Begegnungen sorgen kann, bisher jedoch privat nicht ohne viel Aufwand umzusetzen war.
Doch damit ist es noch nicht getan – Fortune 14/1 erlaubt das vollständige Verwalten von Spielerprofilen, dem Einrichten von Favoriten für den schnellen Zugriff und berechnet für jeden Spieler umfangreiche Statistiken. Damit wird aus einer App für den Komfort ein Werkzeug zur Überwachung und Verbesserung des eigenen Spiels. Profile lassen sich ebenfalls für Spiele erstellen, lästiges Eingeben aller Optionen reduziert sich dadurch auf ein, zwei Klicks.
Obwohl die Entwicklung erst vor rund vier Monaten begann überbietet Fortune 14/1 bereits jetzt die gängigen Apps dieser Art an Features und ist darauf ausgelegt, keine Fehler zu begehen, leicht bedienbar zu sein und den Spieler nie in die Situation geraten zu lassen, eine Spielsituation nicht korrekt erfassen zu können.
Fortune 14/1 ist als Vollversion für 0.79€ im Google Play Store erhätlich, es findet sich allerdings auch eine kostenlose Testversion im Play Store, die einige Limitierungen enthält und dazu dienen soll, einen ersten Überblick zu gewinnen. Fortune 14/1 ist im Moment lediglich auf Englisch erhältlich.
Was kann Fortune 14/1? – ein Überblick:
- 14/1 Endlos: Verfolge deine Spiele ohne lästiges Schreiben und lasse dir Höchstserie, GD, HGD und andere Statistiken automatisch berechnen und Spiele grafisch darstellen. Selbst exotische Spielsituationen lassen sich problemlos notieren und spezielle Spielsituationen wie die 3-Foul-Regel werden automatisch korrekt behandelt. Optional lässt sich ein Handicap einstellen, so dass auch spannende Spiele gegen schwächere Gegner gespielt werden können.
- 8-, 9- und 10-Ball: Mit einem Klick Spiele mitzählen – einfacher geht es nicht. Zusätzlich wird ein Spiel-/Satz-System unterstützt und selbst eine Shot Clock lässt sich einstellen. Für jede Disziplin getrennt werden umfangreiche Statistiken (Höchste Serie an Racks, Runouts, …) pro Spieler generiert.
- Alle Spiele lassen sich problemlos pausieren (und gehen auch nicht verloren, wenn der Akku leer ist oder das Handy runterfällt) und nach Belieben später fortsetzen. Beendete Spiele lassen sich auch im Nachhinein betrachten und werden detailliert angezeigt.
- Spielerverwaltung: Erstelle, verändere und lösche Profile für Spieler um umfangreiche Statistiken zu erstellen. Markiere Spieler als Favoriten für einen schnelleren Zugriff. Doch das Erstellen eines Profils für Gegner ist keineswegs Pflicht, “Einmal-Gegner” auf Turnieren (o.ä.) blasen die Profilliste also nicht unnötig auf.
- Spielprofilverwaltung: Viele Spieler verwenden meist die selben 2–3 Spielszenarien (Turnierspiele, Ligaspiele, Trainingsspiele, …). Durch das Anlegen von Spielprofilen wird lästiges Neu-Einstellen überflüssig.

Fortune 14/1 is a recently published app for Android smartphones that lets you track 14.1 games as well as 8-, 9- and 10-Ball games. This saves you the trouble of writing everything down so you can focus on what’s important. Opposed to other available apps, Fortune 14/1 allows you to enter almost any situation you can imagine and does the thinking for you whenever possible. Another feature that, so far, is not included in any other app of this kind is the ability to use a shot clock – a principle that’s not
just popular because of the Mosconi Cup and allows even more exciting games, but would’ve cost a lot of extra work so far.
But that’s not all – Fortune 14/1 lets you manage player profiles, add favorites for faster access and calculates a wide range of statistics for every player. By that, an app for more comfort becomes a tool to track and improve your game. Profiles can also be created for games to get rid of the annoyance of setting games up every time.
Although development has started only four months ago, Fortune 14/1 already outperforms the established apps of this kind and is designed to not make any mistakes, be easy to use and never let you come into get into a situation you cannot track correctly.
Fortune 14/1 is available as a full version for 0.79€ ($1.05) on the Google Play Store, but there you will also find a free version with some limitations to get a first impression.
What can Fortune 14/1 do? – An Overview:
- Straight Pool: Track your games without tedious paperwork, have High Run, Average and Highest Average calculated automatically and have games visualized. Even exotic game situations can be captured without a problem and special situations like the 3-foul-rule will be handled correctly for you. Optionally, you can even add a handicap to have exciting games against not as skilled or experienced players.
- 8-, 9- and 10-Ball: Track games with one tap – it doesn’t get easier than that. Additionally a game/set-system is supported and you can even add a shot clock. Plus, detailed statistics will be calculated for every discipline and player (High Run, Runouts, …)
- All games can be paused and resumed and will be saved automatically, so even if your battery dies or you drop your phone, you won’t lose anything. Finished games can be viewed too and will be displayed with all details.
- Player Profiles: Add, modify and delete profiles for players to generate a wide range of statistics. Mark profiles as favorites for a faster access or play against one-time opponents (e.g. on tournaments) without saving a profile to not clutter up your profiles list.
- Game Profiles: A lot of players only use 2–3 different game setups (Tournament Games, League Games, Training Matches, …). By creating game profiles you can avoid having to set up a game over and over again.
