AM8.com Queens Cup 2015 Team West
These four lady champions could very well re-claim the mantle of the Best is in the West

Here is the skinny on why you should bet your marbles on the American/European squad this time around:

The choices for this year’s Team West provide a perfect concoction for victory; an assembly of seasoned WPBA Professionals (Women’s Professional Billiard Association)  with an impressive number of titles cumulatively. Each champion with a special set of skills and the know-how to win. I believe this year’s Team West to be unstoppable, as these ladies merge to defeat Team Asia in this year’s AM8.com Queen’s Cup.

Ewa Laurance (SWE/USA) is a rock, and Team USA couldn’t have a better Captain. She’ll rally the troops and keep the ladies on track with even tempered leadership.

Vivian Villarreal (USA) is going to ignite enthusiasm. She’s a fierce, passionate competitor. And more often than not, too much for her opponents to deal with.

Karen Corr (IRE) is a winning machine. She exudes reserve and focus, and coupled with her overwhelming intensity, she’s a great asset for Team USA.

And don’t let that  beautiful, dainty, appearance fool you. Jennifer Barretta (USA) is a monster at the table and she’s there to win. Barretta is a seasoned national and International player, dedicated to her training and conditioning which makes her a top contender in any event.

The compilation of knowledge, experience, and dedication in Team West gives them the edge to win. I can’t wait to watch the drama unfold as Team West battles it out with their Asian counterparts on the international stage of the Queen’s Cup!

Good luck to everyone (especially Team USA!) .

The Queens Cup will showcase the rivalry between the Asians and their western counterparts in Europe and USA, very similar to the Ryder Cup in golf or Davis Cup in tennis. Elite professional ladies from their respective countries and continents are selected onto two sides representing the East and West. The event will last 3 days in a 10-Ball format that will conclude when one team reaches 10 match wins. Style of play will include singles, doubles, triples, and 4-on-4. Captains will be put to the test to create the best strategy in partnerships and chemistry of match-ups. If the matches go 9 to 9 hill-hill, a final 4-on-4 play will set the scene for the dramatic conclusion.

The AM8.com Queens Cup brings a level of excitement and pressure never before seen in women’s billiards. On April 16th, The Empresses of Pool Battle for Glory.
