22nd December Mark Wilson stands down as United States captain FOLLOWING THREE YEARS at the helm of the USA Mosconi Cup side, Mark Wilson has stood down as captain after the recent heavy defeat at the Alexandra Palace, London. Wilson was appointed in January 2014 following a run of defeats and was in charge of all team affairs for the next three Mosconi Cups, all of which resulted in losses. Commented Wilson; “The three year record speaks for itself and while it is personally painful and deeply disappointing, it is the reality. Sport is about winning and a philosophy change is due when the scoreboard reflects a team’s shortcomings. “Despite the pain of losing there have been victories towards building the sport and I hold no regrets in terms of the efforts, support, and direction chosen. 2017 World Pool Masters – Tickets now on sale

20th December – Masters tickets now on sale WITH THE 24th ANNUAL WORLD POOL MASTERS taking place from Friday to Sunday 17th – 19th February at the Victoria Stadium, Gibraltar, Matchroom Sport can announce that tickets for the event are now on sale. With five sessions of play in total, all tickets are available from https://www.buytickets.gi/events/world-pool-masters-2017-87 Tickets are priced at £15 for the Friday evening and both afternoon sessions and £20 for Saturday and Sunday evening sessions. An all-session season ticket is £75. With a field of 16 of the world’s top pool shooters coming to Gibraltar to chase the $20,000 top prize, eight of the stars competing can be named today. They include the defending champion on the hunt for three Masters titles in a row – Shane Van Boening of the USA. 11th July RASSON announced as new Matchroom Pool table supplier MATCHROOM SPORT is delighted to announce that RASSON BILLIARDS will be the Official Table Supplier at all Matchroom pool events over the next three years. The company, based in Jiujiang City in south western China, have made large in roads into the billiard world since setting up 26 years ago. Originally, they were a slate producing country, something that they still specialize in. Rasson will be bringing their top-of-the-range Victory table to the Mosconi Cup, World Cup of Pool and World Pool Masters. Team Europe gewinnt Mosconi Cup 2015 mit 11-7. MVP der Veranstaltung wurde Niels Feijen (NED). Wie in jedem Dezember warten alle Pool Billard Fans auf das absolute Highlight des Jahres. Der 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup verspricht auch in diesem Jahr erneut alles in den Schatten zu stellen. Vom 07. – 10. Dezember 2015 werden in Las Vegas bei der 22. Ausgabe des Mosconi Cup die Teams aus den USA und Europa bei dieser Matchroom Sport Veranstaltung für ein außergewöhnliches Spektakel sorgen. Zugegeben, in letzten Jahren war der Mosconi Cup relativ einseitig und wurde sehr von den Europäern dominiert. Team Europa gewann die letzten fünf Begegnungen relativ deutlich. 19th July – 2015 PartyPoker World Pool Masters Gray seals Masters spot in Barnsley showdown MARK GRAY, one of the European heroes at last year’s Mosconi Cup, forced his way into the line-up of this year’s PartyPoker World Pool Masters following a 21-11 play-off victory over Daryl Peach at the Escape Pool Bar in Barnsley.
