Trio of Fisher,Fisher, & Ouschan Saves the Day : West Closes Gap 2-4 to Team Asia
Manila, Philippines – Team West redeemed itself in the final match of the day of the JBET.com Queens Cup. They had gone on a 3 match losing streak including a 8 games in a row blank by Asia. It took the European trio to stop the bleeding. Allison Fisher, Kelly Fisher, Jasmin Ouschan, Vivian Villareal, Rubilen Amit, Ga Young Kim, Pei Chen Tsai, Siming Chen. The greatest womens professionals in the East take on their rvials in the West! Players selected from China, Korea, Taiwan, and the Philippines are taking on Great Britain, USA, and Asustria in this year’s JBET.com Queens Cup! The East vs West ultimate team showdown between the world’s greatest lady professional billiards players will take place at Resorts World in Manila, Philippines on November 5th-7th, 2013 .
Thus far the only match won was by Jasmin and Allison. This pair was brought back along with Captain Kelly Fisher. They faced Amit, Chen, and Tsai with Captain GYK opting to keep herself out of this match. The duo of Ouschan and Duchess of Doom seemed to be the lucky charm the West needed as they won the very first game. Asia came back into the ext game to level at 1-1. Then it was the West. Then Asia. It seemed it would be going to the wire until a miss by new World 10-Ball champion Amit gave West the breathing room they needed with a couple of fancy tough shots by Kelly Fisher to win 4-2.
The West ended the day with a 2 match deficit instead of 4. Final Score day 1 of the Queens Cup: Asia 4 West 2.
„That was a huge match for us. We could be going into tomorrow with bigger problems. But we played well and we will be having dinner together tonight to discuss tomorrow’s strategy „, said Kelly Fisher.
In the late night evening, both Captains submitted their new lineup for today. Interestingly, the Captains pick will see a re-match with Chen and K.Fisher.

The Queens Cup will showcase the rivalry between the Asians and their western counterparts in Europe and USA, much similar to the Ryder Cup in golf or Davis Cup in tennis. The event will last 3 days in a 10-Ball format that will race to the first team reaching 10 matches for the win. Style of play will include singles, doubles, triples, and 4-on-4. Captains will be put to the test to create the best strategy in partnerships and chemistry of match-ups. If the matches go 9 to 9 hill hill, a final 4-on-4 play will create the dramatic conclusion.
