Platz belegen Team China (Wi Jiaqing & Dang Jinhu) und Team Taiwan (Ko Pin-Yi & Chang Yu-Lung). Am kommenden Dienstag, den 13. Juni 2017 beginnt in London das wohl spektakulärste Pool Billard Event des Jahres. Joshua Filler (GER) gewinnt World 9 Ball China Open 2017 im Finale gegen Chang Jung-Lin (TW) mit 11-6. Den 3. Platz belegen Thorsten Hohmann (GER) und Cheng Yu-Hsuan (TW). Bei den Damen gewinnt Chen Siming (CHN) im Finale gegen Liu Shasha (CHN) mit 9-8. Den 3. Platz belegen Fu Xiaofang (CHN) und Chezka Centeno (PHI). Morgen beginnen in Shanghai die World 9 Ball China Open 2017. Die China Open zählen seit Jahren zu den größten Pool Billard Events auf der ganzen Welt. Für die meisten ist dieses Turnier die größtmögliche Herausforderung und der vielleicht größte Titel den man in seiner Karriere gewinnen kann. Nahezu die gesamte Weltelite wird bis zum 11. Juni um diesen begehrten Titel spielen, das Gesamtpreisgeld bei Damen und Herren zusammen beträgt mehr als 370.000$. Titelverteidiger bei den Herren ist Wu Jiaqing aus China, der zweifache Weltmeister gewann im Vorjahr gegen Cheng Yu-Hsuan aus Taiwan mit 11-4. 22nd May – 2017 Mosconi Cup He wins as VDB goes top Nick van den Berg leapfrogged Ralf Souquet to take pole position on the European Mosconi Cup rankings after the Eurotour Austrian Open. Van den Berg collected 23 points for reaching the last eight of the tournament, where he fell to eventual finalist Francisco Sanchez Ruiz of Spain. Mario He rises to fourth after collecting the title. Albin Ouschan, MVP at last year’s Mosconi Cup, climbs into the top ten as a beaten semi-finalist while the other defeated semi-finalist, Joshua Filler, moves up two places to eighth. Unlike previous years there will be only two rankings instead of three. The first will be the ‘European Ranking’ which includes the five European ‘A’ and five European ‘B’ events. 20/05/2017 Mario He takes the title on home turf Austria’s Mario He just clearly defeated Francisco Sanchez-Riuz (ESP) with 9:2 in the final match of the Dynamic Billard Austrian Open in Alpina Wellness & Sports Hotel, St. Johann i.Pg., Austria. Mario He’s way into the final could not have been longer. He lost his opening match and had to take the long road through the loser’s side. Then, in the single elimination stage, he eliminated Tomasz Kaplan (POL) 9:8, Daryl Peach (GBR) 9:3, Marco Teutscher (NED) 9:4 and in the semi-final his teammate Albin Ouschan (AUT) 9:8. Sanchez’ way into the final match led over victories over Mark Gray (GBR) 9:2, Konstantin Stepanov (RUS) 9:6, Nick van den Berg (NED) 9:5 and in the semi-final Joshua Filler (GER) 9:7. 10th April – 2017 Mosconi Cup Souquet consolidates position at the top GERMANY’S RALF SOUQUET tightened his grip at the top of the European 2017 Mosconi Cup rankings with another great performance as he finished in the top four of the recent Portuguese Open in Salgados. With no ‘World’ events having taken place yet, the ‘European’ and ‘World’ rankings are currently one and the same and the Kaiser has opened up a 45 points lead over third spot. Souquet has already appeared in more Mosconi Cups than any other European player (16) and will looking to return to the side for his first appearance since 2013. Eklent Kaci (ALB) gewinnt 2017 World Pool Series: 2nd Series im Finale gegen Carlo Biado (PHI) mit 2-0 Sätzen. Den 3. Platz belegen Darren Appleton (GBR) und Jayson Shaw (SCO). Die von Darren Appleton ins Leben gerufene 2017 World Pool Series wird ab morgen in New York mit dem 2. Event ihre Fortsetzung finden. Das erste Turnier dieser 8 Ball Turnierserie wurde von den Teilnehmern sehr gut angenommen. Auch bei den Pool Billard Fans rund um die Welt scheint dieses Konzept relativ gut anzukommen. Beim zweiten Turnier wurde das Turnierformat ein wenig angepasst, das erste Event wurde noch im Einfach-KO Modus mit recht hohen Ausspielzielen ausgetragen. Ab morgen wird bei der zweiten Veranstaltung bis zum Achtelfinale im Doppel-KO System mit geringeren Ausspielzielen gespielt. Bei Gleichstand einer Partie gibt es wie bereits beim ersten Turnier ein sehr interessantes Shoot-Out. Nick van den Berg (NED) gewinnt Portugal Open 2017 im Finale gegen David Alcaide (SPA) mit 8-5. Den 3. Platz belegen Mark Gray (GBR) und Ralf Souquet (GER). Die Portugal Women Open 2017 gewinnt Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) im Finale gegen Kristina Tkach (RUS) mit 7-3. Den 3. Platz belegen Ina Kaplan (GER) und Katarzyna Wesolowska (POL). Direkt im Anschluss an die derzeit laufende Pool Billard Europameisterschaft findet an gleicher Stelle, in Albufeira/Portugal, der nächste Euro-Tour Stopp statt. Vom 30. März bis zum 01. April 2017 wird es für sehr viele EM Teilnehmer direkt weitergehen. Im Moment sind mehr als 180 Teilnehmer für die Portugal Open 2017 angemeldet und dies verspricht, wie bereits von der Euro-Tour gewohnt, spannende und hochklassige Partien. Die letzte Euro-Tour Veranstaltung vor einigen Wochen konnte der deutsche Ausnahmespieler Ralf Souquet für sich entscheiden, er bezwang im Finale der Italy Open 2017 Ruslan Chinakhov aus Russland mit 9-5. 24/03/2017 Ouschan, Tahti and Uski new 8-ball Champions The 8-ball tiles at the Dynamic Billard European Championships for Men, Women and Wheelchair Athletes in the Salgados Palace Hotel in Albufeira, Portugal, have been awarded. Jouni Tahti (FIN), Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) and Jani Uski (FIN) have snatched the coveted titles in the 8-ball individuals. In the men’s division, Jani Uski started out as an underdog in the discipline. His victims on the way into the final match include Denis Grabe (EST) 8:5, Francisco Diaz-Pizarro (ESP) 10:6 and Francisco Sanchez-Ruiz (ESP) 10:8. These victories took him into the final match against Marc Bijsterbosch (NED) who had already taken the 10-ball title earlier this week. Bijsterbosch made his way into the final match over Jakub Koniar (SVK) 8:7, Ruslan Chinakhov 10:8 and Mario He (AUT) 10:7. The final match itself was determined by careful play from both actors.
