Joshua Filler (GER) gewinnt World 9 Ball China Open 2017 im Finale gegen Chang Jung-Lin (TW) mit 11-6. Den 3. Platz belegen Thorsten Hohmann (GER) und Cheng Yu-Hsuan (TW). Bei den Damen gewinnt Chen Siming (CHN) im Finale gegen Liu Shasha (CHN) mit 9-8. Den 3. Platz belegen Fu Xiaofang (CHN) und Chezka Centeno (PHI). Morgen beginnen in Shanghai die World 9 Ball China Open 2017. Die China Open zählen seit Jahren zu den größten Pool Billard Events auf der ganzen Welt. Für die meisten ist dieses Turnier die größtmögliche Herausforderung und der vielleicht größte Titel den man in seiner Karriere gewinnen kann. Nahezu die gesamte Weltelite wird bis zum 11. Juni um diesen begehrten Titel spielen, das Gesamtpreisgeld bei Damen und Herren zusammen beträgt mehr als 370.000$. Titelverteidiger bei den Herren ist Wu Jiaqing aus China, der zweifache Weltmeister gewann im Vorjahr gegen Cheng Yu-Hsuan aus Taiwan mit 11-4. 22nd May – 2017 Mosconi Cup He wins as VDB goes top Nick van den Berg leapfrogged Ralf Souquet to take pole position on the European Mosconi Cup rankings after the Eurotour Austrian Open. Van den Berg collected 23 points for reaching the last eight of the tournament, where he fell to eventual finalist Francisco Sanchez Ruiz of Spain. Mario He rises to fourth after collecting the title. Albin Ouschan, MVP at last year’s Mosconi Cup, climbs into the top ten as a beaten semi-finalist while the other defeated semi-finalist, Joshua Filler, moves up two places to eighth. Unlike previous years there will be only two rankings instead of three. The first will be the ‘European Ranking’ which includes the five European ‘A’ and five European ‘B’ events. The winner of this ranking will gain a spot on the Mosconi Cup side. The second ranking will be the ‘World Ranking’ which will comprise all 12 events. 20/05/2017 Mario He takes the title on home turf Austria’s Mario He just clearly defeated Francisco Sanchez-Riuz (ESP) with 9:2 in the final match of the Dynamic Billard Austrian Open in Alpina Wellness & Sports Hotel, St. Johann i.Pg., Austria. Mario He’s way into the final could not have been longer. He lost his opening match and had to take the long road through the loser’s side. Then, in the single elimination stage, he eliminated Tomasz Kaplan (POL) 9:8, Daryl Peach (GBR) 9:3, Marco Teutscher (NED) 9:4 and in the semi-final his teammate Albin Ouschan (AUT) 9:8. Sanchez’ way into the final match led over victories over Mark Gray (GBR) 9:2, Konstantin Stepanov (RUS) 9:6, Nick van den Berg (NED) 9:5 and in the semi-final Joshua Filler (GER) 9:7. 19/05/2017 Peach ousted Kazakis in epic thriller Daryl Peach (GBR) has ousted Alexander Kazakis (GRE) at the Dynamic Billard Austrian Open in Alpina Wellness & Sports Hotel, St. Johann i.Pg., Austria. In the single elimination round of the last remaining 32 players, Peach took down Kazakis with 9:7. After 8 racks, Kazakis had a 6:2 lead over Peach. Things were looking quite promising for Kazakis but Peach is known to be a Terrier with regards to fighting. He kept his foot in the door and fought his way back into the match. When Kazakis took his timeout, the scoreboard displayed still a 6:5 lead for him. But Peach could not be distracted from his mission. After Kazakis’ timeout, Peach continued where he stopped before and took the next two racks, now leading 7:6 over Kazakis. The Greek managed to tie the match at 7:7 then. Die Austria Womens Open 2017 gewinnt Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) im Finale gegen Veronika Ivanovskaia (GER) mit 7-2. Den 3. Platz belegen Kristina Tkach (RUS) und Tina Vogelmann (GER). Die anspruchsvollste Pool Billard Tour der Welt macht ihren nächsten Stopp in Österreich. Die Austria Open 2017 finden vom 18. – 20. Mai 2017 in St. Johann statt. Mit mal wieder mehr als 160 Teilnehmern ist das Starterfeld dieser Euro-Tour erneut sehr gut besetzt, bis auf wenige Ausnahmen wird auch diese Veranstaltung die besten Pool Billard Spieler Europas an die Tische bringen. Die letzte Euro-Tour Veranstaltung Ende März in Portugal, gewann der Niederländer Nick van der Berg, er sicherte sich damit seinen zehnten Sieg auf der Tour. 29/03/2017 Albin Ouschan is EPBF Player of the Year 2016 At the player’s party of the recently held Dynamic Billard European Championships for Men, Women and Wheelchair Athletes in the Salgados Palace Hotel in Albufeira, Portugal, Albin Ouschan (AUT) was awarded the title of EPBF Player of the Year 2016. Five players were in the race for the award. Henrik Larsson (SWE), Francisco Sanchez-Ruiz (ESP), Kristina Tkach (RUS), Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) and Albin Ouschan were up for vote. Albin Ouschan was the clear winner in the end, taking all three categories: the public vote, the member vote and the Board and sponsor vote. Probably one huge advantage for him was his achievements in 2016 which include winning the 9-ball World Champion title and the European Champion title in straight pool on his home soil in St. Johann i.Pg, Austria. Also during the recent Championships, the European Pocket Billard Federation held its General Assembly and several Board meetings. 27/03/2017 Austria and Russia take Gold Medals in Team competition At the Dynamic Billard European Championships for Men, Women and Wheelchair Athletes in the Salgados Palace Hotel in Albufeira, Portugal, the Women’s Team from Russia and the Men’s Team from Austria have won the Gold medals in their respective division. In the men’s division, Team Austria met Team Finland in the final match. The Austrians had ousted the strong Polish Team in their semi-final 2:0 while the Finnish have taken down Team Spain 2:1. The first point for Austria was in the books very quickly. Albin Ouschan won his 9-ball match over Kim Laaksonen 9:2 in just under one hour. That brought Austria the 1:0 lead. Then, Petri Makkonen rode the winning wave over Maximilian Lechner in 10-ball with 8:4. The 8-ball match between Mario He and Jani Uski had to decide. Nick van den Berg (NED) gewinnt Portugal Open 2017 im Finale gegen David Alcaide (SPA) mit 8-5. Den 3. Platz belegen Mark Gray (GBR) und Ralf Souquet (GER). Die Portugal Women Open 2017 gewinnt Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) im Finale gegen Kristina Tkach (RUS) mit 7-3. Den 3. Platz belegen Ina Kaplan (GER) und Katarzyna Wesolowska (POL). Direkt im Anschluss an die derzeit laufende Pool Billard Europameisterschaft findet an gleicher Stelle, in Albufeira/Portugal, der nächste Euro-Tour Stopp statt. Vom 30. März bis zum 01. April 2017 wird es für sehr viele EM Teilnehmer direkt weitergehen. Im Moment sind mehr als 180 Teilnehmer für die Portugal Open 2017 angemeldet und dies verspricht, wie bereits von der Euro-Tour gewohnt, spannende und hochklassige Partien. Die letzte Euro-Tour Veranstaltung vor einigen Wochen konnte der deutsche Ausnahmespieler Ralf Souquet für sich entscheiden, er bezwang im Finale der Italy Open 2017 Ruslan Chinakhov aus Russland mit 9-5. 18/03/2017 Defending Champions Jasmin and Albin Ouschan ready for title defence The straight pool competition has commenced at the first day of the Dynamic Billard European Championships for Men, Women and Wheelchair Athletes in Albufeira, Portugal. After last year’s remarkable double victory for Austria through the Ouschan siblings, the focus was on them today again. And they both stood tall. In the men’s division, Albin Ouschan had Daniele Corrieri (ITA) in his first match. Not an easy task for Ouschan whose scalp was up for grabs today. Corrieri opened the match with a run of 55 balls which was quite a decent inning for the Italian. Ouschan only managed to run one rack before he allowed Corrieri rack to the table. The Italian made 4 balls but then ran out of position. He attempted a jump shot but failed to pocket it. That sealed this fate in that match. Übermorgen beginnt in Treviso die Euro-Tour Saison 2017, endlich muss man sagen. Die Euro-Tour gehört seit vielen Jahren zu der Konstanten in der Pool Billard Szene und wenn man ehrlich ist gibt es nichts Vergleichbares in Europa und dem Rest der Welt. Immer erstklassige Teilnehmerfelder, eine meist sehr schöne Location mit einwandfreien Material und einen mehr als professionellen Livestream von Kozoom. Zudem werden alle Veranstaltungen nach einem strickten Zeitplan durchgeführt, hier wissen die Spieler und Zuschauer wann die Partien exakt ausgetragen werden.
