Shane Van Boening (USA) gewinnt Tornado Open 10 Ball Men im Finale gegen Josh Roberts (USA) mit 8-2. Den 3. Platz belegt Warren Kiamco (PHI). Kelly Fisher (GBR) gewinnt Tornado Open 10 Ball Women im Finale gegen Ga Young Kim (KOR) mit 7-4. Den 3. Platz belegt Allison Fisher (GBR). Am kommenden Mittwoch, den 28. September 2016 beginnen in Hollywood die Tornado Open 2016. Dieses Event, das im Seminole Hard Rock Hotel und Casino ausgetragen wird, gehört zu den höchstdotierten Pool Billard Turnieren 2016 in den USA. Wenn am 02. Oktober 2016 die Finals ausgetragen werden, sind eine Vielzahl an Events ausgetragen worden. Dazu zählen ein 10 Ball Pro Event der Herren, ein 10 Ball Pro Event bei den Damen und ein 10 Ball Pro Doppel-Turnier, das aus einer Frau und einem Mann besteht. Zusätzlich gibt es noch einige Amateur Events, die in kleinerem Rahmen stattfinden werden. Wu Jiaqing (CHN) gewinnt World 9 Ball China Open 2016 im Finale gegen Cheng Yu-Hsuan (TPE) mit 11-4. Den 3. Platz belegen Wu Kun-Lin (TPE) und Ko Pin-Yi (TPE). Bei den Damen gewinnt Yu Han (CHN) im Finale gegen Liu Shasha (CHN) mit 9-8. Den 3. Platz belegen Wang Xiao-Tong (CHN) und Chen Xue (CHN). Am kommenden Sonntag, den 21. August werden in Shanghai/China die World 9 Ball China Open 2016 eröffnet. Bis zum 28. August wird bei den China Open so ziemlich alles was Rang und Namen hat, in der weltweiten Pool Billard Szene, am Start sein. Dieses Turnier zählt zu den größten Herausforderungen eines jeden Pool Billard Spielers. Kaum ein Turnier ist weder bei Damen und Herren besser besetzt als dieses. Austria’s Albin Ouschan wins the 2016 World 9-ball Championship with an emphatic 13-6 win over American Shane Van Boening. But even he couldn’t have imagined the dream day he just conjured up on the way to winning pool’s most prestigious prize. After first blowing out Canada’s Alex Pagulayan in the semi-final, Ouschan came back to put an emphatic and somewhat shocking 13 – 6 drubbing on American Shane Van Boening to capture his first WPA World 9-ball championship in front of over 400 people at the Al Arabi Sports Club in Doha. Am kommenden Freitag startet in Indiana/USA eines der aufregendsten Pool Billard Turniere des Jahres. Die 18. Ausgabe des Derby City Classic 2016 ist wie in den letzten Jahren auch eine sehr komplexe und fast schon unüberschaubare Veranstaltung. Das soll nicht negativ gemeint sein, ganz im Gegenteil. In der Zeit vom 22. – 30. Januar 2016 wird von den Teilnehmern alles gefordert. Es vergeht kaum ein Tag, an dem die Spieler nicht an einem Turnier teilnehmen können. Neben all diesen Events wird es wie immer sehr viele Money-Matches abseits des eigentlichen Turniergeschehens geben. Es wird neben der 9 Ball Veranstaltung noch 9 Ball Bank, One Pocket, Straight Pool und viele Mini-Turniere geben, um die Spieler bei Laune zu halten.
