John Morra (CAN) gewinnt Open 10 Ball Pro Players Championship 2016 im Finale gegen Shane Van Boening (USA) mit 13-11. Den 3. Platz belegt Thorsten Hohmann (GER). Nicht nur in Europa wird in diesen Tagen erstklassiges Pool Billard bei den Austrian Open 2016 geboten, auch in den USA findet ein Top-Event statt. Während einer der größten Billard-Messen der Welt, der Super Billiards Expo, findet die Open 10 Ball Pro Players Championship 2016 statt. Dieses 10 Ball Turnier ist auf 64 Spieler begrenzt und etliche internationale Topstars werden in Philadelphia dabei sein. Die Super Billiards Expo ist der perfekte Rahmen für diese Spieler, und neben all den Namhaften Austellern werden Spieler wie Shane Van Boening (USA), Warren Kiamco (PHI), Alex Pagulayan (CAN), John Morra (CAN), Earl Strickland (USA), Oscar Dominguez (USA), Mike Dechaine (USA), Corey Deuel (USA), Rodney Morris (USA), Mika Immonen (FIN), Johnny Archer (USA) und Thorsten Hohmann aus Deutschland ihr Können unter Beweis stellen. Mika Immonen (FIN) gewinnt Interpool Open 2016 im Finale gegen Robert Solvefjord (SWE) mit 11-8. Den 3. Platz belegen Vegar Kristiansen (NOR) und Dan Andersson (SWE). Die 10 Ball Challenge gewinnt Daniel Tangudd (SWE) im Finale gegen Tom Storm (SWE) mit 8-4. Den 3. Platz belegen Marcus Chamat (SWE) und Tommy Tokoph (USA). Im wunderschönen Gävle in Schweden finden vom 24. – 27. März 2016 die Interpool Open 2016 statt. Dieses Turnier wächst von Jahr zu Jahr immer mehr und es finden sich zumeist sehr viele Topstars der internationalen Pool Billard Szene in Gävle ein. Dieses Turnier hat neben dem 9 Ball Main-Event noch einige andere sehr interessante Side-Events zu bieten. Natürlich kommt der Großteil der Teilnehmer aus Skandinavien beim 256 starken Teilnehmerfeld. Team Europe gewinnt Mosconi Cup 2015 mit 11-7. MVP der Veranstaltung wurde Niels Feijen (NED). Wie in jedem Dezember warten alle Pool Billard Fans auf das absolute Highlight des Jahres. Der 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup verspricht auch in diesem Jahr erneut alles in den Schatten zu stellen. Vom 07. – 10. Dezember 2015 werden in Las Vegas bei der 22. Ausgabe des Mosconi Cup die Teams aus den USA und Europa bei dieser Matchroom Sport Veranstaltung für ein außergewöhnliches Spektakel sorgen. Zugegeben, in letzten Jahren war der Mosconi Cup relativ einseitig und wurde sehr von den Europäern dominiert. Team Europa gewann die letzten fünf Begegnungen relativ deutlich.
