24th September – 2015 Dafabet World Cup of Pool England A through as Japan oust Holland Round 1 Scores England B (15) 7-4 Sweden Round 2 Scores Japan (14) 7-6 Holland (3) England A (1) 7-0 Korea (16) ENGLAND A AND JAPAN became the first two teams through to the quarter finals of the 2015 Dafabet World Cup of Pool as they enjoyed contrasting victories against Korea and Holland respectively. England A, closing the evening, trounced Korea in the only white-wash of the event so far while Japan won a fabulous hill-hill battle against the Dutch. England can look forward to Romania or Indonesia in Saturday’s quarter finals while Japan face either Qatar or the Czech Republic. Direkt im Anschluss an die derzeit laufende 9 Ball Weltmeisterschaft (2015 WPA World 9 Ball Championship) in Doha/Katar findet in der bekannten York Hall in London das nächste Top Pool Billard Event des Jahres 2015 statt. Ko Pin-Yi (TW) gewinnt 2015 WPA World 9 Ball Championship im Finale gegen Shane Van Boening (USA) mit 13-11. Den 3. Platz belegen Ko Ping-Chung (TW) und Wu Jiaqing (CHN). Ab dem 07. September 2015 wird in Doha/Katar die diesjährige 9 Ball Weltmeisterschaft ausgetragen. Die 2015 WPA World 9 Ball Championship läuft bis zum 18. September 2015 und es werden so ziemlich alle Stars der Pool Billard Welt in Doha anzutreffen sein. Die 9 Ball WM gehört jedes zu den Events mit der größten Strahlkraft und dem größten Prestige. Und kaum ein anderes Turnier ist wohl so schwer zu gewinnen wie die Titelkämpfe im Al Arabi Sports Club. Extreme Temperaturen draußen, Klimaanlagen die den Spielort ziemlich runterkühlen und die besten Spieler der Welt. Mika Immonen (FIN) gewinnt Predator Dynamite Open 2015 im Finale gegen Ruslan Chinahov (RUS) mit 11-10. Den 3. Platz belegen Thorsten Hohmann (GER) und Nikos Ekonomopoulos (GRE). Einige Tage vor beginn der 2015 WPA World 9 Ball Championship in Doha/Katar findet in Brasov/Rumänien ein ziemlich interessantes und exzellent besetztes 10 Ball Turnier statt. Viele Topstars der Pool Billard Szene machen kurz vor der 9 Ball Weltmeisterschaft einen Zwischenstopp in Brasov, um ihrer Form den letzten Schliff zu geben. 20th August – 2015 World Cup of Pool World-class line up set for York Hall showdown With the annual World Cup of Pool coming back to London this September, Matchroom Sport can announce the 32 teams and players set to contest the annual $250,000 pairs tournament. Taking place at pool’s fiercest venue, the York Hall in Bethnal Green, the World Cup runs from Tuesday 22nd to 27th September. Defending champions are England A with Karl Boyes and Darren Appleton looking to become the first pair to successfully defend their crown. Competition will be tough though, with a host of previous winners and finalists taking part. Germany will be represented by 2011 champions Thorsten Hohmann and Ralf Souquet and 2012 winners Mika Immonen and Petri Makkonen (Finland) will be once again taking part. Joshua Filler (GER) gewinnt 2015 LONGONI Benelux Open im Finale gegen Nick van den Berg (NED) mit 8-3. Den 3. Platz belegen Imran Majid (GBR) und Oliver Ortmann (GER). Eines der europäischen Pool Billard Highlights findet ab dem kommenden Donnerstag in Rotterdam/Niederlande statt. Vom 20. – 23. August 2015 werden bei den 2015 LONGONI Benelux Open viele Pool Billard Stars aus weiten teilen Europas an den Start gehen. Bei der mit mehr als 10.000 Euro dotierten 10 Ball Veranstaltung gibt es neben dem Main-Event noch ein erstklassig besetztes Damenturnier, auch hier kann sich das Teilnehmerfeld mehr als sehen lassen. 15th August – 2015 PartyPoker World Pool Masters Waleed Majid (QAT) 8-4 Daryl Peach (ENG) Ko Pin Yi (TPE) 5-8 Mark Gray (ENG) Darren Appleton (ENG) 8-4 Mateusz Sniegocki (POL) Mosconi Cup team mates Darren Appleton and Mark Gray both enjoyed first round wins at the 2015 PartyPoker World Pool Masters as first round play continued on Saturday afternoon at the Victoria Warehouse, Manchester. First Gray turned over highly fancied Ko Pin Yi in an upset and then Darren made light work of Poland’s Mateusz Sniegocki. Earlier England’s Daryl Peach was ousted by up-and-coming Qatari star Waleed Majid. In the opening match of the session, seeded player Waleed Majid took care of an out-of-sorts Daryl Peach (England) by an 8-4 score line. There were plenty of errors as each player gifted the other chances as the score moved to 3-3. Shane Van Boening (USA) gewinnt im Finale des 2015 PartyPoker World Pool Masters gegen Darren Appleton (GBR) mit 8-2 und verteidigt seinen Titel vom Vorjahr ziemlich souverän. Den 3. Platz belegen Liu Haitao (CHN) und Mark Gray (GBR). Am nächsten Wochenende wird die gesamte Pool Billard Welt ihren Blick nach Manchester/GBR richten. Vom 14. – 16. August 2015 wird im Victoria Warehouse eines der spektakulärsten Pool Billard Einladungsevents der Welt stattfinden. Das 2015 PartyPoker World Pool Masters wird jedes Jahr von Matchroom Sport ausgerichtet und gehört zusammen mit dem World Cup of Pool und dem Mosconi Cup zu den wohl besten Pool Billard Events überhaupt. Niels Feijen (NED) gewinnt Austrian Open 2015 im Finale gegen Joshua Filler (GER) mit 9-7. Den 3. Platz belegen Sebastian Ludwig (GER) und Francisco Diaz-Pizarro (SPA). Im Anschluss an die derzeit laufende Pool Billard Europameisterschaft der Junioren in Österreich findet der 4. Euro-Tour Stopp der Saison statt. Im sehr schönen Alpina Sporthotel in St. Johann haben sich bislang mehr als 230 Teilnehmer gemeldet und diese werden vom 30. Juli – 01. August 2015 um das Gesamtpreisgeld von 34.000€ spielen. Die letzte Euro-Tour fand zuletzt Anfang Juni im nordhessischen Baunatal statt und der Gewinner der German Open 2015 hieß am Ende Petri Makkonen aus Finnland, er bezwang im Finale Konrad Juszczyszyn aus Polen mit 9-3. Wir sind gespannt ob Petri Makkonen seine gute Form halten konnte und auch in St. Johann eine Siegchance haben wird. Die insgesamt mehr als 230 Meldungen sind ein Ausrufezeichen, das die Euro-Tour, entgegen vieler Aussagen, am Ende ist. 19th July – 2015 PartyPoker World Pool Masters Gray seals Masters spot in Barnsley showdown MARK GRAY, one of the European heroes at last year’s Mosconi Cup, forced his way into the line-up of this year’s PartyPoker World Pool Masters following a 21-11 play-off victory over Daryl Peach at the Escape Pool Bar in Barnsley. With Darren Appleton, Karl Boyes and Jayson Shaw already invited into the Masters, the final British spot was a toss-up between Gray and Peach, the 2007 World Pool Champion. Commented Gray, “It’s great to be playing in the Masters again, especially after last year when I was invited but woke up on morning of event with sickness bug.
