Shane Van Boening First Match a 100 Perfect

…Immonen & Appleton Stellar New York, New York – Shane Van Boening gave USA a nice lift as he played his first ever 14.1 match at the World Tournament. After winning the lag, Shane made a perfect 100 run. Day 1 some some stellar straight pool as players inch closer to the World Tournament Champion title. The Olhausen World Tournament of 14.1 kicked off August 19th with all 48 players battling in the round robin stage. Dragon Promotions and Dr. Michael Fedak have brought another globally star studded field at this year’s 73rd Olhausen World Tournament hosted by Steinway Billiards in New York on August 19th-24th,2013. „Thorsten Hohmann (GER) gewinnt The 73rd World Tournament of 14.1 im Finale gegen Darren Appleton (GBR) mit 200-164. Den 3. Platz teilen sich Francisco Bustamante (PHI) und John Schmidt (USA). Im Halbfinale gewann Thorsten Hohmann gegen John Schmidt mit 200-18 und Darren Appleton gegen Francisco Bustamante mit 200-1, dabei gelang Appleton eine 200er Serie!“ Vom 19. – 24. August 2013 findet im Steinway Billiards in Astoria/New York die 73. Ausgabe des World Tournament of 14.1 statt. Das von Dragon Promotions organisierte 14.1 (Straight Pool) Event wird auch als die inoffizielle Weltmeisterschaft in dieser Disziplin gehandelt. Gene Nagy Honorary Induction New York City, New York- One of the most decorated European players in the history of pocket billiards will finally be inducted into a Hall of Fame this year. Van Boening Wins His 2nd Wyoming Open

All Photos courtesy of Amber Henning Saratoga, Wyoming – USA’s #1 ranked Shane Van Boening went undefeated to win the 6th Annual Wyoming Open. The South Dakota native defeated Hawaii’s Rocket Rodney Morris in the 8-Ball bar table event that boasted a full field of 48 in the Masters Division. The event was produced by E.J. Glode and co-promoted by Dragon Promotions. Drawing over 150 players in 3 divisions, the Wyoming Open is widely regarded as the biggest and best pool event in 6 states. The event was sponsored by Asia’s #1 pro cloth Andy Cloth and Master Chalk. Local partners are Duke’s Bar & Grill and Riviera Lodge and all events coordinated by Shively Hardware. In the Sportsman Division featuring novice players, Mike Kozeniewski of Wyoming won the 50 player division. He defeated Dwain Twiford twice in the finals.
