Team China 2 (Liu Haitao, Dang Jinhu, Wang Can, Fu Xiaofang, Liu Shasha) gewinnt 2014 World Pool Team Championship im Finale gegen Team Philippines (Dennis Orcollo, Lee Vann Corteza, Carlo Biado, Rubilen Amit) mit 4-2. Den 3. Platz belegen China 1 und Japan. Deutschland (Ralf Souquet, Thorsten Hohmann, Ina Kaplan, Sebastian Staab) landet auf einem sehr guten 5. Platz. Vom 28. Juli – 02. August 2014 findet in Beijing/China die 2014 World Pool Team Championship statt. Diese Team Weltmeisterschaft ist nicht zu verwechseln mit dem jährlich stattfindenden World Cup of Pool vom Veranstalter Matchroom Sport. In Beijing treffen insgesamt 25 Teams aus 24 Nationen aufeinander. China stellt als Gastgeber zwei Mannschaften. Auch dieses Jahr ist die Informationsbeschaffung äußerst schwierig und zäh. Es gibt so gut wie keine brauchbaren Informationen in für uns verständlicher Sprache. Das meiste wird leider nur in Mandarin (Chinesisch) angeboten. 21st September, 888.com World Cup of Pool 2013 Dutch and Finns through to last four Quarter Finals Finland 9-3 England B Holland 9-8 Japan HOLLAND AND FINLAND both made their way through to Sunday’s semi-finals of the 2013 888.com World Cup of Pool with wins over England B and Japan respectively and they will now face each other in the first semi-final on Sunday afternoon. The Dutch had to grind it out against Japan in a hill-hill thriller with both teams struggling at times, while the Finnish pair of Mika Immonen and Petri Makkonen looked in good shape against England B as their title defence continues. In the second match of the session, Japan and Holland both teams shared the opening racks as they tried not to give anything away with so much at stake. 18th September, 888.com World Cup of Pool 2013 Smooth Hungary leave China reeling Japan 7-4 Sweden Hungary 7-2 China Russia 7-5 Hong Kong The 2013 888.com World Cup of Pool received its first major shock today at the York Hall in East London as European qualifiers Hungary dumped two-time World Cup champions China out of the competition with a clinical 7-2 win. The Hungarian duo of Gabor Solymosi and Mikos Balazs had scrapped their way through a European qualifying event in Croatia last month, but their respective careers to date have been fairly low key. On the other hand, the Chinese pair of Li Hewen and Liu Haitao, have excellent track records with Li in particular, a twice winner of this event and also a bronze and silver medallist at the World Pool Championship in 2006 and 2012 respectively. „Deutschland (Ralf Souquet & Thorsten Hohmann) gewinnt World Cup of Pool 2011 im Finale gegen Thailand mit 10-4 und sichert sich den Siegerscheck über 60.000$….Herzlichen Glückwunsch!!!“ Nachdem World Pool Masters 2011 geht es in Manila am 06. September weiter mit der nächsten Großveranstaltung. Der World Cup of Pool 2011! Das beliebte Doppelturnier (Stoßwechsel/Winnerbreak) an dem insgesamt 32 Doppel aus 31 Nationen teilnehmen verspricht auch diesmal wieder hochdramatische Matches! Bis zum 11. September streitet sich annähernd die gesamte Weltspitze um den Siegerscheck von 60.000$. Titelverteidiger ist China und wird somit an Position 1 gesetzt sein. Die komplette Auslosung und eine Übersicht über alle Teams gibt es wie immer weiter unten. Für Deutschland gehen der frischgebackene World Pool Masters Champion Ralf Souquet und Thorsten Hohmann an den Start. Thorsten Hohmann gewann vor einigen Tagen das 71. World 14.1 Tournament in New Jersey. Einen Favoriten zu nennen ist quasi nicht möglich, erfahrungsgemäß gelten im Doppel einige andere Gesetzmäßigkeiten! Das Gesamtpreisgeld beträgt 250.000$!
