16th August – 2015 PartyPoker World Pool Masters Quarter-Finals Shane Van Boening (USA) 8-5 Waleed Majid (QAT) Darren Appleton (ENG) 8-5 Johnny Archer (USA) Ralf Souquet (GER) 6-8 Mark Gray (ENG) The 2015 PartyPoker World Pool Masters is down to the last four as Shane Van Boening, Darren Appleton and Mark Gray all won through their afternoon quarter-final matches to join Liu Haitao in the semi-finals on Sunday night at the Victoria Warehouse. In the final match of the session, Mark Gray put in a terrific performance to defeat Ralf Souquet following an excellent comeback as the match slipped away from him. At 6-3 down Gray looked to have it all against him but a miss from the German put him back in and from there he never looked back. Said Gray, “I am well chuffed. 15th August – 2015 PartyPoker World Pool Masters Waleed Majid (QAT) 8-4 Daryl Peach (ENG) Ko Pin Yi (TPE) 5-8 Mark Gray (ENG) Darren Appleton (ENG) 8-4 Mateusz Sniegocki (POL) Mosconi Cup team mates Darren Appleton and Mark Gray both enjoyed first round wins at the 2015 PartyPoker World Pool Masters as first round play continued on Saturday afternoon at the Victoria Warehouse, Manchester. First Gray turned over highly fancied Ko Pin Yi in an upset and then Darren made light work of Poland’s Mateusz Sniegocki. Earlier England’s Daryl Peach was ousted by up-and-coming Qatari star Waleed Majid. In the opening match of the session, seeded player Waleed Majid took care of an out-of-sorts Daryl Peach (England) by an 8-4 score line. There were plenty of errors as each player gifted the other chances as the score moved to 3-3. Shane Van Boening (USA) gewinnt im Finale des 2015 PartyPoker World Pool Masters gegen Darren Appleton (GBR) mit 8-2 und verteidigt seinen Titel vom Vorjahr ziemlich souverän. Den 3. Platz belegen Liu Haitao (CHN) und Mark Gray (GBR). Am nächsten Wochenende wird die gesamte Pool Billard Welt ihren Blick nach Manchester/GBR richten. Vom 14. – 16. August 2015 wird im Victoria Warehouse eines der spektakulärsten Pool Billard Einladungsevents der Welt stattfinden. 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup – Feijen looking a hot favourite for the Tropicana

4th August – 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup Niels Feijen took a commanding lead at the top of the European Mosconi Cup ranking list after winning his second Euro Tour title of the year at the weekend. The Dutchman was MVP at last year’s PartyPoker Mosconi Cup, which saw Europe earn an 11-5 victory over Team USA in front of a record-breaking crowd in Blackpool, England and he had already won the Italian Open on the Euro Tour earlier this year. His win in the Dynamic Austria Open at the weekend saw him open up a 14-point lead at the top of the Euro Tour ranking list, meaning a quarter-final or better finish on home soil at the Dynamic Dutch Open in October will guarantee him a spot on this year’s European team. Feijen defeated Petri Makkonen at the quarter-final stage in Austria, meaning the Finnish star was displaced at the top of the rankings. Niels Feijen (NED) gewinnt Austrian Open 2015 im Finale gegen Joshua Filler (GER) mit 9-7. Den 3. Platz belegen Sebastian Ludwig (GER) und Francisco Diaz-Pizarro (SPA). Im Anschluss an die derzeit laufende Pool Billard Europameisterschaft der Junioren in Österreich findet der 4. Euro-Tour Stopp der Saison statt. Im sehr schönen Alpina Sporthotel in St. Johann haben sich bislang mehr als 230 Teilnehmer gemeldet und diese werden vom 30. Juli – 01. August 2015 um das Gesamtpreisgeld von 34.000€ spielen. Die letzte Euro-Tour fand zuletzt Anfang Juni im nordhessischen Baunatal statt und der Gewinner der German Open 2015 hieß am Ende Petri Makkonen aus Finnland, er bezwang im Finale Konrad Juszczyszyn aus Polen mit 9-3. Wir sind gespannt ob Petri Makkonen seine gute Form halten konnte und auch in St. Johann eine Siegchance haben wird. 19th July – 2015 PartyPoker World Pool Masters Gray seals Masters spot in Barnsley showdown MARK GRAY, one of the European heroes at last year’s Mosconi Cup, forced his way into the line-up of this year’s PartyPoker World Pool Masters following a 21-11 play-off victory over Daryl Peach at the Escape Pool Bar in Barnsley. With Darren Appleton, Karl Boyes and Jayson Shaw already invited into the Masters, the final British spot was a toss-up between Gray and Peach, the 2007 World Pool Champion. 23rd June – 2015 PartyPoker World Pool Masters Draw and Schedule Announced WITH THE 2015 PartyPoker World Pool Masters set for the iconic Victoria Warehouse from 14th to 16th August, the draw has been made and schedule set for what promises to be an unforgettable weekend of world-class pool. Featuring 16 players from 14 nations, the field is headed up by defending champion and No.1 seed Shane Van Boening (USA) who gets his defence underway against the dangerous Canadian John Morra. Petri Makkonen (FIN) gewinnt German Open 2015 im Finale gegen Konrad Juszczyszyn (POL) mit 9-3. Den 3. Platz belegen Florian Hammer (GER) und Karl Boyes (GBR). Vom 04. – 06. Juni 2015 finden im nordhessischen Baunatal die German Open 2015 statt. Im August 2011 gab es zuletzt einen Euro-Tour Stopp in Deutschland, dieses damals in Brandenburg ausgetragene 10 Ball Pool Billard Event, die German Open 2011, gewann der Schweizer Dimitri Jungo im Finale gegen Serge Das (BEL) mit 8-5. In Baunatal laufen die Vorbereitungen für diese 9 Ball Veranstaltung auf Hochtouren und es werden mehr als 150 Pool Billard Spieler in der Stadthalle Baunatal an den Start gehen. Natürlich kommt der Großteil der Teilnehmer aus Deutschland, dennoch werden viele europäischen Top-Spieler am nächsten Wochenende erwartet. Mateusz Sniegocki (POL) gewinnt Portuguese Open 2015 im Finale gegen Marcus Chamat (SWE) mit 9-3. Den 3. Platz belegen Mario He (AUT) und Francisco Sanchez-Ruiz (SPA). Auch die besten Pool Billard Spieler Europas gehen direkt nach der Europameisterschaft in Vale do Lobo/Portugal auf die Jagd nach wichtigen Punkten für das Euro-Tour Ranking und das Gesamtpreisgeld von 34.000 Euro. Die Portuguese Open 2015 versprechen ziemlich interessant zu werden, weil viele der Teilnehmer nach zehn Tagen EM Stress nicht mehr ganz frisch sein werden. Können sich die Medaillengewinner noch mal motivieren oder werden die frisch angereisten Teilnehmer den längeren Atem haben? Wir glauben, dass die Engländer wie z.B. Mark Gray, Imran Majid, Karl Boyes oder Daryl Peach, die nicht an der Pool Billard Europameisterschaft teilgenommen haben, große Siegchancen haben werden.
