3rd November – 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup Final Ranking for Team USA FOLLOWING A nine event qualification series, the American team is now in place as they prepare themselves for a December assault on the PartyPoker Mosconi Cup. Having last won the coveted transatlantic pool silverware in 2009, this year’s team comprises the top five players on the ranking list. Shane Van Boening was the first to qualify after yet another stellar year but the remaining four spots came down the US Open. Mike Dechaine was the first to qualify and then shortly after it was Corey Deuel’s turn as he took some impressive scalps to garner sufficient points. The two wild card slots went to Justin Bergman, who enjoyed an excellent season while the final spot saw captain Mark Wilson pick rookie Skyler Woodward to ensure a baptism of fire at the Tropicana next month. 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup – Final Rankings for Team Europe

3rd November – 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup Final Rankings for the Europeans WITH A last-gasp runners-up finish at the US Open, Karl Boyes, the ebullient Englishman, stole the final automatic qualifying spot from under the noses of more fancied rivals. And it now sets him up for his fourth PartyPoker Mosconi Cup appearance next month. With Albin Ouschan topping both World and Combined Rankings after a magnificent second half of the year, and Niels Feijen winning the Euro Tour Ranking, the selection of the third spot reverted to the Combined Ranking. Feijen already occupied second spot so the final automatic berth went to the No.3 on that list which was Boyes. The two wild card picks went to England’s Darren Appleton, who won the WPA World Chinese 8 Ball Championship earlier in the year and Holland’s Nick Van den Berg who was the next highest placed player on the Combined Rankings following the final qualifying event in Virginia. 6th October – 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup Feijen set for MC Number 11 FOLLOWING ON from his last 16 finish at the recent Dutch Open on the Euro Tour, Holland’s much decorated Niels Feijen can ready himself for his 11th appearance pulling on the blue European jersey at PartyPoker Mosconi Cup XXII at the Tropicana in December. The athletic Dutchman first competed in 2001 when Europe was hammered at the York Hall. His next two appearances also saw defeat before he became part of the group of European players who enjoyed almost total domination of the event from 2007 onwards. The 38 year-old Feijen will become tied third on the European list of appearances as well as tied fifth on the Mosconi Cup all-time appearances list. 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup – Ouschan maintains slender lead

18 September – 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup WITH A RELATIVELY poor showing for Europe’s stars at the WPA World 9 Ball Championship in Qatar, there has been minimal movement on the PartyPoker Mosconi Cup ranking list. The highest finisher was Poland’s Wojciech Szewczyk who reached the last eight to earn 15 points and give himself an outside shot at both the World and Combined list. Albin Ouschan (Austria) maintained his lead at the top of the World Ranking and a high finish at the US Open next month could see him make his Mosconi Cup debut in December. He leads Spain’s David Alcaide by five points with seasoned MC players Mika Immonen and Darren Appleton a further five points back. 25th August – 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup Van Boening is first man in for Team USA Shane Van Boening is set to make his ninth Mosconi Cup outing this December, putting him joint seventh on the all-time list of appearances at the annual USA v Europe 9 ball showdown. 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup – Feijen looking a hot favourite for the Tropicana

4th August – 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup Niels Feijen took a commanding lead at the top of the European Mosconi Cup ranking list after winning his second Euro Tour title of the year at the weekend. The Dutchman was MVP at last year’s PartyPoker Mosconi Cup, which saw Europe earn an 11-5 victory over Team USA in front of a record-breaking crowd in Blackpool, England and he had already won the Italian Open on the Euro Tour earlier this year. His win in the Dynamic Austria Open at the weekend saw him open up a 14-point lead at the top of the Euro Tour ranking list, meaning a quarter-final or better finish on home soil at the Dynamic Dutch Open in October will guarantee him a spot on this year’s European team. 4th August – 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup Shane turns the screw but it’s wide open for remaining two spots Shane Van Boening remains the front runner in the 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup Team USA ranking, but the race for the second and third spots on this year’s team for Las Vegas is hotting up. Van Boening sits top of the pile after the US Open 10-ball and US Open 8-ball tournaments. He has 72 points, twice as many as second-placed Corey Deuel and Skyler Woodward have amassed. With just Turning Stone and the US Open 9-ball to be played, Van Boening is a hot favourite to make Mark Wilson’s team but could still be displaced from the top three. 8th June – 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup Makkonen makes a move FINLAND’S PETRI MAKKONEN landed his maiden Euro Tour title in Germany at the weekend and as he crashed the European Mosconi Cup rankings and put himself in the frame for a December trip to Las Vegas. The 27 year-old Finn came through a stellar field at Baunatal and defeated Konrad Juszczyszyn of Poland in the championship match to claim the 20 ranking points. The win put Makkonen into second place on the Euro Tour ranking list, three points behind Niels Feijen. He also moved into third position on the Combined ranking list, a single point behind joint leaders Marcus Chamat and David Alcaide. There are three separate ranking lists in operation – the first comprised of a five event Euro Tour series; the second a four event ‘World’ series and the last a combined ranking of the two. 27th April – 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup Chamat enters fray as race hots up MARCUS CHAMAT, who was recently named as captain of the 2015 European PartyPoker Mosconi Cup team is on course to land one of the three automatic spots following a runners-up spot in the recent Portuguese Open on the Euro Tour.
