03/04/2016 Dream start at the Dynamic Billard European Championships for team Austria The first Gold Medals have been awarded at this year’s Dynamic Billard European Championships and team Austria had a dream start in any aspect. Both Gold Medals were taken by the Ouschans, Jasmin in the women’s and Albin in the men’s division. Jasmin Ouschan had a tough draw today. In the quarterfinals, she dealt with Anna Mazhirina (RUS) quite clearly with 75:21. Then in the semifinal, she encountered Caroline Roos (SWE). That match started off well for Ouschan. She needed 7 innings in order to finish Roos’ dreams of a final appearance in straight pool this year. 75:32 was the final result for Ouschan. In the final, she met Oliwia Czuprynska (POL) who had beaten Line Kjoersvik (NOR) 75:61 in her semifinal match. However, the final between Ouschan and Czuprynska turned out to become a nightmare for the Polish. She was allowed to the table three times only and never really got a chance to pocket balls. Am Samstag, den 02. April 2016 beginnen in St. Johann/Österreich die Pool Billard Europameisterschaften der Damen, Herren und Rollstuhlfahrer. Bis zum 12. April werden sich im Alpina Sport Hotel viele europäische Topstars der Szene um die Medaillen streiten. Wie immer fehlen bei den Europameisterschaften einige der bekanntesten Spieler aus einigen Nationen. Dennoch kann sich die Teilnehmerliste mehr als sehen lassen und es werden sicherlich viele spannenden Matches zustande kommen. Das deutsche Team 2016 wird mit folgenden Spielern in St. Johann ins Rennen gehen. Bei den Herren sind es Kevin Becker, Joshua Filler, Andreas Roschkowsky, Ralf Souquet, Sebastian Staab, Sebastian Ludwig und Geronimo Weißenberger. Bei den Damen werden Kristina Grim, Veronika Ivanovskaia, Ina Kaplan, Vivien Schade, Melanie Süßenguth und Jennifer Vietz für Deutschland auf Medaillenjagd gehen und als einziger Rollstuhlfahrer ist Joachim Schuler dabei. Dieses Pool Billard Event geht über 10 Tage, es startet an den ersten Tagen mit dem 14.1 Wettbewerb und endet am 12. April mit den Finalspielen im 9 Ball in allen drei Kategorien. Mieszko Fortunski (POL) gewinnt Italian Open 2016 im Finale gegen Ralf Souquet (GER) mit 9-6. Den 3. Platz belegen Nikos Ekonomopoulos (GRE) und Jayson Shaw (SCO). Die Italian Women Open 2016 gewinnt Jasmin Ouschan im Finale gegen Christine Wiechert (GER) mit 7-1. Den 3. Platz belegen Nataliya Seroshtan (RUS) und Katarzyna Wesolowska (POL). Am kommenden Donnerstag, den 25. Februar 2016 fällt der Startschuss für die Euro-Tour 2016. Wie in den letzten Jahren zuvor, startet die EPBF mit dem ersten Euro-Tour Event in Italien in das neue Jahr. Im sehr schönen BHR-Hotel in Treviso wird nahezu die gesamte europäische Pool Billard Elite am Start sein. Wenn am Samstag, den 27. Februar der Gewinner der Italian Open 2016 feststeht, hat dieser sich durch ein Teilnehmerfeld von knapp 200 Spieler durchgekämpft. Im letzten Jahr gewann der Niederländer Niels Feijen an gleicher Stelle im Finale gegen Nick Malaj aus Griechenland mit 9-2. Am kommenden Freitag startet in Indiana/USA eines der aufregendsten Pool Billard Turniere des Jahres. Die 18. Ausgabe des Derby City Classic 2016 ist wie in den letzten Jahren auch eine sehr komplexe und fast schon unüberschaubare Veranstaltung. Das soll nicht negativ gemeint sein, ganz im Gegenteil. In der Zeit vom 22. – 30. Januar 2016 wird von den Teilnehmern alles gefordert. Es vergeht kaum ein Tag, an dem die Spieler nicht an einem Turnier teilnehmen können. Neben all diesen Events wird es wie immer sehr viele Money-Matches abseits des eigentlichen Turniergeschehens geben. Es wird neben der 9 Ball Veranstaltung noch 9 Ball Bank, One Pocket, Straight Pool und viele Mini-Turniere geben, um die Spieler bei Laune zu halten. Eines der Highlights beim Derby City Classic ist die 10 Ball BigFoot Challenge, die auf einem 10 Fuß Pool Billard Tisch der Firma Diamond ausgetragen wird. Roman Hybler (CZE) gewinnt German Tour 2015 Finale im Finale gegen Nick van den Berg (NED) mit 7-3. Den 3. Platz belegen Can Salim (GER) und Francisco Bustamante (PHI). Bei den Damen gewinnt Ina Kaplan (GER) im Finale gegen Jennifer Vietz (GER) mit 5-0. Den 3. Platz teilen sich Kristina Grim (GER) und Yini Gaspar (SUI). Eines der deutschen Pool Billard Highlights findet direkt am Anfang des Jahres statt. Vom 06. – 10. Januar 2015 findet an anfänglich drei Spielorten das Finale der German Tour 2015 statt. Die German-Tour wurde vom Billardmagazin Touch ins Leben gerufen und hat der deutschen Pool Billard Szene wieder ein wenig neuen Schwung verliehen. Eine Vielzahl an Turnieren wurde im abgelaufenen Jahr gespielt und aus all diesen Turnieren hat sich ein Abschlussranking ergeben. Niels Feijen (NED) gewinnt Pool Masters Cup 2015 im Finale gegen Artem Koshovyi (UKR) mit 9-5. Den 3. Platz belegen Eklent Kaci (ALB) und Denis Grabe (EST). Einige Tage vor Weihnachten findet in Antalya/Türkei eines der höchstdotierten Pool Billard Turniere des Jahres statt. Der Pool Masters Cup 2015 ist die 1. Ausgabe dieses 9 Ball Turniers und viele internationale Top-Spieler werden vom 16. – 19. Dezember um das Gesamtpreisgeld von 45.000 Euro spielen. Der Gewinner am Samstag bekommt 6.000 Euro. Es wird in einem 256 starken Teilnehmerfeld (bislang liegen ca. 120 Meldungen vor) im Doppel-KO System gespielt und ab der Runde der letzten 32 geht es im Einfach-KO weiter.
