Mateusz Sniegocki (POL) gewinnt Portuguese Open 2015 im Finale gegen Marcus Chamat (SWE) mit 9-3. Den 3. Platz belegen Mario He (AUT) und Francisco Sanchez-Ruiz (SPA). Auch die besten Pool Billard Spieler Europas gehen direkt nach der Europameisterschaft in Vale do Lobo/Portugal auf die Jagd nach wichtigen Punkten für das Euro-Tour Ranking und das Gesamtpreisgeld von 34.000 Euro. Die Portuguese Open 2015 versprechen ziemlich interessant zu werden, weil viele der Teilnehmer nach zehn Tagen EM Stress nicht mehr ganz frisch sein werden. Können sich die Medaillengewinner noch mal motivieren oder werden die frisch angereisten Teilnehmer den längeren Atem haben? Wir glauben, dass die Engländer wie z.B. Mark Gray, Imran Majid, Karl Boyes oder Daryl Peach, die nicht an der Pool Billard Europameisterschaft teilgenommen haben, große Siegchancen haben werden. Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) gewinnt Portuguese Women Open 2015 im Finale gegen Line Kjoersvik (NOR) mit 7-3. Den 3. Platz belegen Monica Webb (USA) und Louise Furberg (SWE). Die Damen Euro-Tour geht in Vale do Lobo/Portugal in die nächste Runde. Natürlich bietet es sich direkt nach der Pool Billard Europameisterschaft an, einen Euro-Tour Stop einzulegen, um die vorzügliche Location in Portugal dafür zu nutzen. Es werden natürlich nicht alle Teilnehmerinnen der EM auch die Portuguese Women Open 2015 spielen, viele werden bereits abgereist sein. Immerhin werden knapp 50 europäische Top Pool Billard Spielerinnen an dieser 9 Ball Veranstaltung vom 23. – 25. April 2015 teilnehmen. Die letzte Euro-Tour der Damen im März, die Italy Women Open 2015, gewann Caroline Roos (SWE) im Finale gegen Ana Gradisnik (SLO) mit 7-6. Das Preisgeld beträgt 3.000 Euro und es winken natürlich wieder sehr wertvolle Punkte für das Euro-Tour Ranking. Asia came out strong winning the first 3 matches of the day before Team West stopped the bleeding with a win in the triples. Amit and China’s World #1 Siming Chen have been instrumental in Asia’s success, while USA’s Villarreal and Ireland’s Corr have had the best performances by far for the West. Eine der größten Billardveranstaltung auf der ganzen Welt startet am 16. April 2015. Die 23. Super Billiards Expo in Oaks, in der nähe von Philadelphia/USA, lockt jedes Jahr Tausende von Besuchern in das Greater Philadelphia Expo Center. Am Sonntag, den 12. April beginnen in Vale do Lobo/Portugal die diesjährigen Pool Billard Europameisterschaften der Damen, Herren und Rollstuhlfahrer. Bis zum 22. April 2015 werden in Portugal die Europameister der Disziplinen 8 Ball, 9 Ball, 14.1, 10 Ball und Team gesucht. Insgesamt gehen mehr als 180 Pool Billard Spieler aus 36 Nationen im sehr schönen Ria Park Hotel in Vale do Lobo an den Start. Natürlich wird auch dieses Jahr von fast allen Teilnehmern einiges abverlangt. In 10 Tagen werden in allen Disziplinen die Medaillen ausgespielt und der Turnierplan ist ziemlich üppig gestaltet. Über den Sinn und Unsinn dieses Ablaufs bei einer Europameisterschaft wurde bereits viel diskutiert. Die meisten Topspieler tendieren zu deutlich weniger Disziplinen und zu einem Zweijahresrhythmus. Das hätte u. a. den Vorteil das ein Europameister weitaus mehr Chancen hätte seinen Titel „auszukosten“ und gewinnbringend zu vermarkten. Wer weiß, vielleicht wird ja bereits innerhalb der EPBF darüber diskutiert und wir werden in den nächsten Jahren ein Umdenken erleben. 06/04/2015 In less than a week from now, one of the most prestigious events in European Pool Billiard will begin. Starting Saturday, April 12th with the straight pool competition, the Dynamic Billard European Championships for Men, Women and Wheelchair athletes will kick off. Venue will be the beautiful Ria Park Hotel in Vale do Lobo, Portugal. The tournament will once again be hosted in a lovely holiday environment which will definitely benefit the player’s leisure time activities. Eine der größten Pool Billard Damenveranstaltungen des Jahres findet vom 06. – 12. April 2015 in Taipei/Taiwan statt. Die AMWAY eSpring International 9 Ball Championship setzen jedes Jahr Maßstäbe, wenn es um Professionalität und Präsentation geht. Kaum ein anderes Pool Billard Event auf der Welt wird im Vorfeld so erstklassig beworben wie dieses.
