US Open 9 Ball Championships 2017

Jayson Shaw (SCO) gewinnt US Open 9 Ball Championships 2017 im Finale gegen Eklent Kaci (ALB) mit 13-4. Den 3. Platz belegt Francisco Sanchez-Ruiz (SPA). Am nächsten Sonntag, den 22. Oktober 2017 beginnt in Norfolk, Virginia die 42. Ausgabe der US Open 9 Ball Championships. Bis zum 28. Oktober werden bei dem wohl prestigeträchtigsten Pool Billard Turnier in den Vereinigten Staaten ein Großteil der Weltelite um das Gesamtpreisgeld von 200.000$ spielen. Die US Open 9 Ball Championships werden von vielen als die Mutter aller Pool Billard Turniere bezeichnet. Es gibt kaum einen Titel, der auf der Welt mehr Bedeutung hat. Auch in diesem Jahr gehen knapp 160 Teilnehmer als allen Teilen der Welt an den Start. Im Vorjahr gewann Shane Van Boening aus den USA im Finale gegen Chang Jung-Lin (TW) mit 13-9. Der US Superstar sicherte sich damit seinen insgesamt fünften Erfolg bei den US Open. Der Gewinner am 28. Oktober erhält einen Siegerscheck in Höhe von 40.000$. 11th September – 2017 Mosconi Cup Final Team USA standings WITH THE qualification period for Team USA spots now complete, it was Shane Van Boening who topped the ranking after another stellar eight months that saw him record a string of victories. With qualification for the 2017 Mosconi Cup on a different footing, players needed to have finished in the top ten of the ranking to have a chance of being selected for the team by USA captain Johan Ruijsink. To give himself what he feels is the best possible chance for the USA to win the Mosconi Cup for the first time since 2009, the captain will pick his side from the top ten with the option of going outside the ten for one of his picks should he feel it necessary. CueSports International, Henderson, NV (July 19, 2017) — Only four remain undefeated at the 2017 US Open 10-Ball Championship. Shane Van Boening is the sole US player still on the A side of the bracket as the final day of the tournament begins. He is joined by Philippine players Lee Vann Corteza, Warren KIamco and Canadian Alex Pagulayan. Several tournament favorites were ousted during the second day of play, including Mika Immonen, Dennis Orcollo, Thorsten Hohmann and Billy Thorpe. After losing his first match to Pagulayan, Corey Deuel has torn an impressive path through the loser’s bracket, beating Sayeem Hossain, John Schmidt, Immonen, Vilmos Foldes and Orcollo. He faces Justin Bergman at 9 a.m. Las Vegas native Max Eberle has also had a remarkable journey. Eberle sent Francisco Bustamante to the loser’s bracket in the first round, then beat Sina Valizadeh before losing to Karl Boyes. In the other semi-final, 37 year old veteran Polish campaigner Radislaw Babica will match wits against multi-world champion and soon to be Hall of Famer, 40 year old Darren Appleton. Alex Pagulayan (CAN) gewinnt US Open 8 Ball Championship 2017 im Finale gegen Shane Van Boening (USA) mit 10-9. Den 3. Platz belegt Dennis Orcollo (PHI). Ab dem kommenden Montag, den 17. Juli 2017 finden in Las Vegas die US Open 10 Ball Championship statt. Bis zum darauffolgenden Mittwoch, den 19. Juli 2017 werden viele internationale Top-Spieler um ein Preisgeld von ca. 85.000$ spielen. Im letzten Jahr wurden diese Wettbewerbe noch auf sogenannten Bar Tables (7 Fuß) ausgetragen. Die „kleinen“ Tische sind in den USA sehr beliebt, allerdings kann man z.B. in Europa mit dieser Tischgröße nicht viel anfangen. Dadurch sind die US Open 8 Ball und 10 Ball im Jahr 2016 ein wenig untergegangen.
