Kozoom Productions are pleased to announce the opening of the streaming web page for this year’s 9-ball world championships in Qatar.

A total of 14 tables will be streamed, starting tomorrow the 16th June at 10.00 am local time and the great news is that it’s for free, yes FREE and you can register right now at live.qbsf.qa

Note: The World 9-Ball Championships will NOT be shown on the regular Kozoom page; it will only be available through the dedicated event’s page.

A fantastic chance to see the entire 9-ball world championships live and follow some of the greatest players from all over the world.

Albin Ouschan (AUT) gewinnt 2016 WPA World 9 Ball Championship im Finale gegen Shane Van Boening (USA) mit 13-6. Den 3. Platz belegen Alex Pagulayan (CAN) und Hsuan Yu-Cheng (TPE). Am nächsten Montag, den 25. Juli 2016 starten in Doha/Katar die WPA 9 Ball Weltmeisterschaften. Dieser Titel ist nach wie vor der wichtigste im Welt Pool Billard und für jeden Spieler die größte Herausforderung. Nicht nur das extrem starke Teilnehmerfeld, sondern auch die besonderen Umstände tragen dazu bei. Die hohen Außentemperaturen und der stark klimatisierte Spielort, der Al Arabi Sports Club, sind für viele Spieler kaum zu beherrschen. Im letzten Jahr gewann Ko Pin-Yi aus Taiwan diesen Titel im Finale gegen Shane Van Boening aus den USA. Im Finale 2015 wurde erneut deutlich das leider nicht immer der bessere Spieler gewinnt. Shane Van Boening spielte ein überragendes Turnier und dominierte selbst die stärksten Konkurrenten nach Belieben. Defending Champions Van den Berg and Ouschan on their way The day started rather stormy. The sea which is normally inviting the people for a nice swim was rough and capricious. Maybe that was a presage for today’s straight pool matches. 95 men and 45 women had taken up the challenge to see who will wear the crown in European straight pool in 2014. Defending Champions were Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) and Nick van den Berg (NED) and they knew that it will not be an easy task to claim the title again this year. Van den Berg had a tough opening match against Daniele Corrieri (ITA). The Italian stood out at recent Euro-Tours by always making it to the final stages of the event. So the match was expected to be a tough fight… and it was! Van den Berg made a mistake at 4:0 and allowed Corrieri to enter the table with a clear shot. The Italian thanked him and made 56 balls. Tough battle in the loser’s round Sarajevo, Bosnia & Hercegovina:  After a fierce fight in the loser’s bracket, Nikos Ekonomopoulos (GRE) overcame Mehmet Bakici (TUR) with 8:7 in a thrilling finish. Ekonomopoulos already faced some serious problems today. He lost his opener and needed to win this match in order to stay alive in the tournament. His opponent is not among the top players of the Euro-Tour… but sometimes dark horses just come out of nowhere and perform incredibly well. The match started quite leveled with both players playing solid pool. After the first six racks, it was all square at 3:3. Then it seemed as if everything goes back to „business as usual“. Ekonomopoulos won three racks in a row and Bakici committed a few mistakes. Leading 6:3, Ekonomopoulos broke the rack and scratched. Bakici took the cue ball and ran out. Suddenly, he seemed to be „on fire“. He claimed rack after rack back from the Greek. He even went on the hill, taking a 7:6 advantage. The heat was on for Ekonomopoulos. […]
