Ko Pin-Yi (TW) gewinnt 2015 WPA World 9 Ball Championship im Finale gegen Shane Van Boening (USA) mit 13-11. Den 3. Platz belegen Ko Ping-Chung (TW) und Wu Jiaqing (CHN). Ab dem 07. September 2015 wird in Doha/Katar die diesjährige 9 Ball Weltmeisterschaft ausgetragen. Die 2015 WPA World 9 Ball Championship läuft bis zum 18. September 2015 und es werden so ziemlich alle Stars der Pool Billard Welt in Doha anzutreffen sein. Die 9 Ball WM gehört jedes zu den Events mit der größten Strahlkraft und dem größten Prestige. Und kaum ein anderes Turnier ist wohl so schwer zu gewinnen wie die Titelkämpfe im Al Arabi Sports Club. Extreme Temperaturen draußen, Klimaanlagen die den Spielort ziemlich runterkühlen und die besten Spieler der Welt. Leider hat es dieser WM in den letzten Jahren ein wenig an Atmosphäre gefehlt, gerade dann wenn die „Local Heroes“ ausgeschieden waren wirkte die Stimmung ziemlich zurückhaltend, wir werden sehen, wie es sich in diesem Jahr verhält und sind gespannt auf den Auftritt des Lokalmatadoren Waleed Majid. That is, the players who lost their first match in the group stage, and would get one more chance in this double elimination format to get back on track for the knockout rounds, or face the ignominy of complete and utter failure on pool’s biggest stage. Going two losses and out in the World 9-ball Championship is about as bad as it gets for a professional pool player. Niels Feijen (NED) gewinnt 2014 WPA World 9 Ball Championship im Finale gegen Albin Ouschan (AUT) mit 13-10 und sichert sich den begehrtesten Pool Billard Titel der Welt. Den 3. Platz belegen Elmer D. Haya (PHI) und China Open 2014 Champion Chang Yu-Lung (TPE). Ab dem 16. Juni 2014 findet in Doha/Katar die 2014 WPA World 9 Ball Championship statt. Die 9 Ball Weltmeisterschaft der Herren gilt zusammen mit den China Open als eines der interessantesten und spannendsten Pool Billard Events im ganzen Jahr. Bis zum 27. Juni werden im Al Saad Sports Club in Doha die besten Pool Spieler aus der ganzen Welt um den wohl begehrtesten Titel der Szene kämpfen. These are the enticing elements on offer to pool fans around the globe as the biggest and most prestigious prize in the men’s professional game, the 2014 WPA World 9-ball Championship, goes up for grabs in the searing hot Middle Eastern city of Doha, Qatar, beginning on June 16th and running through June 27th. This will be the fifth straight year that that the tiny Gulf country of Qatar hosts pool’s most prestigious tournament. Once again 128 players from over 40 countries will clash to see who will be crowned the king of 9-ball pool.
