„Ich war auch hier! Es besteht die Gefahr, dass ich wiederkomme…“ Das schrieb Ralph Eckert im Sommer 2014 ins Gästebuch des Bata Bar & Billiards. Er war auf Berlin-Besuch, und es hatte sich bis zu ihm herumgesprochen, dass in Berlin unbedingt ins Bata gegangen werden sollte. Fünf Diamond-Tische müssen ihm die Entscheidung leicht gemacht haben – davon einer von wenigen weltweit vorhandenen 10-Fuß-Tischen. Bald macht Ralph seine „Drohung“ war: Knapp ein Jahr später wird er Housepro im Bata Bar & Billiards. Housepro, was heißt das genau? Das Konzept kommt aus den USA. Der Housepro ist ein professioneller Billardspieler, der im entsprechenden Billardsalon Stammgast ist. Er trainiert dort, er spielt dort seine Trainingsspiele und er gibt Training für private Kunden. Im Gegenzug dafür bekommt er eine Entlohnung. Bata Bar & Billiards – 10 Foot Action Sascha Tege vs. Aleks Batovac Inside Pool und das Bata präsentieren: Sascha Tege und Aleks Batovac machen es unter sich aus. Das Re-Match ihres Finales vom Ringgame im Frühjahr, damals live gestreamt von Inside Pool, diesmal auf dem 10-Fuß-Diamond-Tisch im Bata. Ein Satz 10-Ball bis 11, der Eintritt ist frei! Das erste Qualifikationsturnier zur 14.1 WM in Deutschland *** english version below *** Den Betreibern des neuen Billardcafés „Bata Bar & Billiards“ in Berlin bot sich eine tolle Möglichkeit: Charlie Williams, US-Profi und Inhaber von Dragon Promotions, fragte, ob sie Interesse hätten, das einzige europäische Qualifikationsturnier zur inoffiziellen 14.1-WM, dem „World Tournament of 14.1“ in New York auszurichten. Sie hatten Interesse! Und somit findest Du in diesem Beitrag die Ausschreibung zum Qualifikationsturnier am 21./22. Juni 2014 in Berlin. Das Endturnier findet vom 4.-9. August in New York statt. Die beiden Erstplatzierten des Turniers erhalten jeweils den Startplatz für New York und jeweils 800,- Euro Reisekostenzuschuss für den Trip nach New York. geschrieben von Michael Heydeck und Patrick Baumann Wofür steht das Bata? Das Bata ist Dein neuer Billardsalon in Berlin-Mitte. Es liegt direkt am Berliner Hauptbahnhof und ist für Berliner und Berlin-Besucher sehr gut zu erreichen. Wir wollen im Bata sowohl die Freizeitspieler als auch ambitionierte Amateure und Profis ansprechen. Es gibt einen zweigeteilten Billardbereich mit einem Bereich, der eher für die anspruchsvollen Vereinsspieler gestaltet ist (mit vier 9-Fuß-Tischen von Diamond und dem einzigen 10-Fuß-Diamond in Deutschland), und einem weiteren Bereich mit sieben 9-Fuß-Tischen für Freizeitspieler. Dieser Bereich ist weniger einsehbar und gemütlicher. Neben dem Billardbereich gibt es einen großen Barbereich mit schickem Tresen und gemütlichen Sitzecken. Man kann also auch einfach ins Bata kommen, ohne Billard zu spielen oder nach dem Billard spielen noch etwas sitzen.
