Shane Van Boening (USA) gewinnt 2014 PartyPoker World Pool Masters im Finale gegen Nikos Ekonomopoulos (GRE) mit 8-2. Den 3. Platz belegen Karol Skowerski (POL) und Chris Melling (GBR). Das nächste Pool Billard Highlight des Jahres findet am kommenden Wochenende vom 14. – 16. November 2014 im Portland Centre in Nottingham/GBR statt. Auch dieses Jahr bringt Matchroom Sport beim 2014 PartyPoker World Pool Masters wieder 16 der besten Spieler der Welt an den Tisch und wird wie gewohnt für ein Event der Extraklasse sorgen. 2014 Betway World Cup of Pool – Germany by a whisker as China and England A coast 26 September Round 2 Germany 7-6 Canada England A 7-1 Greece China 7-0 England B England A set up a quarter-final clash with old rivals USA by dispatching Greece 7-1 on an evening which also saw China give England B no chances in a 7-0 win. Earlier Canada had gifted Germany victory as the final round two fixtures played out at the Betway World Cup of Pool at the Mountbatten Centre in Portsmouth. Before the tournament Karl Boyes said he would love the chance to ‘shut Earl Strickland up’, after the pair had a fiery Mosconi Cup singles match in Las Vegas last year. 2014 Betway World Cup of Pool – England B through as US and Philippines make quarters 25 September Round 1 England B 7 – 6 India Round 2 Philippines 7 – 5 France USA 7 – 5 Russia ENGLAND B completed the list of round one victors at the 2014 Betway World Cup of Pool as they squeezed past India at the Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth on Thursday evening. There were also second round wins for the Philippines and USA who both take their place in Saturday’s quarter-final draw. In probably the most entertaining match of the tournament so far, the England B side of Chris Melling and Daryl Peach put paid to Indian hopes by the odd rack in 13 to give themselves a second round match-up against China. The Indian duo of Raj Hundal and Amar Kang were making their fourth appearance in the event as a pair and both sides looked in good shape. Team England A (Darren Appleton/Karl Boyes) gewinnt Betway World Cup of Pool 2014 im Finale gegen Team Holland (Niels Feijen/Nick van den Berg) mit 10-9. Bereits im letzten Jahr mussten sich Niels Feijen und Nick van den Berg im Finale geschlagen geben. Den 3. Platz belegen die Teams aus Finnland (Mika Immonen/Petri Makkonen) und Team Österreich (Albin Ouschan/Mario He). Grabe Closing In On Mosconi Spot September 05 – 2014 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup Denis Grabe heads Team Europe’s Euro Tour rankings with one event to play as the Estonian bids to earn a first appearance in the PartyPoker Mosconi Cup in Blackpool, England this December. 2014 World Cup of Pool Schedule 12 August – 2014 World Cup of Pool Match Schedule Announced WITH THE 2014 World Cup of Pool set for the Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth from 23rd to 28th September, promoters Matchroom Sport can announce the schedule of matches for this prestigious $250,000 event. There are 16 first round matches in total with two sessions a day and three matches per session. Sessions are at 12 noon and 6.00pm until the weekend when the afternoon session takes place at 1.00pm, while the evenings continue at 6.00pm. Team China 2 (Liu Haitao, Dang Jinhu, Wang Can, Fu Xiaofang, Liu Shasha) gewinnt 2014 World Pool Team Championship im Finale gegen Team Philippines (Dennis Orcollo, Lee Vann Corteza, Carlo Biado, Rubilen Amit) mit 4-2. Den 3. Platz belegen China 1 und Japan. Deutschland (Ralf Souquet, Thorsten Hohmann, Ina Kaplan, Sebastian Staab) landet auf einem sehr guten 5. Platz. Vom 28. Juli – 02. August 2014 findet in Beijing/China die 2014 World Pool Team Championship statt. Diese Team Weltmeisterschaft ist nicht zu verwechseln mit dem jährlich stattfindenden World Cup of Pool vom Veranstalter Matchroom Sport. In Beijing treffen insgesamt 25 Teams aus 24 Nationen aufeinander. China stellt als Gastgeber zwei Mannschaften. Auch dieses Jahr ist die Informationsbeschaffung äußerst schwierig und zäh. Es gibt so gut wie keine brauchbaren Informationen in für uns verständlicher Sprache. Das meiste wird leider nur in Mandarin (Chinesisch) angeboten.
