Souquet and Ouschan win the Dynamic Billard North Cyprus Open Ralf Souquet (GER) and Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) have won the titles at the Dynamic Billard North Cyprus Open Euro-Tour. In the men’s division, Ralf Souquet played at his best. He took down great names like Ivo Aarts (NED) 9:0, Imran Majid (GBR) 9:3, Mieszko Fortunski (POL) 9:3 and in the final match Karl Boyes (GBR) with 9:4. The final match was dominated by Souquet from start to finish. A bit scrappy in the beginning, Souquet turned out to have the far better break shot than Boyes. He pocketed almost every time a vll on his break and ran out 4 racks without even allowing Boyes into the table. The Brit however had to struggle with his break shot. Most of the time, he came up dry with no ball down or not enough balls crossing the kitchen line. This situation was taken advantage of by Souquet without any mercy. Ralf Souquet (GER) gewinnt North Cyprus Open 2014 im Finale gegen Karl Boyes (GBR) mit 9-4. Den 3. Platz teilen sich Chris Melling (GBR) und Mieszko Fortunski (POL). Die Europameisterschaft 2014 geht in die heiße Phase und die Vorbereitungen für das nächste Euro-Tour Highlight laufen auf Hochtouren. Direkt nach der EM starten am 10. April die North Cyprus Open 2014 und das Finale wird am Samstag, den 12. April ausgetragen. Mit knapp 160 Meldungen gibt es nach langer Zeit mal wieder einen Teilnehmerhöchststand zu vermelden. Natürlich ist dies der Europameisterschaft geschuldet. Die Teilnehmer der Dynamic European Championship bleiben natürlich zum Großteil in Kyrenia, um an diesem nächsten Euro-Tour Stop teilzunehmen. Dieses Turnier ist nicht nur ein weiteres Euro-Tour Event, es zählt auch zu den Turnieren das in diesem Jahr Punkte für das europäische Mosconi Cup Ranking bringt. Chinakhov eliminates Alcaide and Das in a row The 10-Ball competition at the Dynamic Billard European Championships for Men, Women and Wheelchair Athletes in Acapulco Hotel and Resort, Kyrenia, North Cyprus, has provided the spectators with some unexpected results today. A total of 98 men, 46 women and 17 wheelchair players have lined up today to see who will eventually snatch the title from the current Champions. Ruslan Chinakhov came up with the first upset of the day. He defeated David Alcaide (ESP) in a tight thriller with 8:7. In the next round, Chinakhov went ahead and also sent Serge Das (BEL) to the loser’s side. Defending Champion Mateusz Sniegocki (POL) was another famous victim of today’s play. He lost his opening match to Daryl Peach (GBR) with 7:8. Peach proceeded into the single elimination round of the final 64 players while Sniegocki takes the long way. Vom 30. März – 09. April 2014 findet in Kyrenia/North Zyprus die Pool Billard Europameisterschaft der Damen, Herren und Rollstuhlfahrer statt. Die Dynamic Billard European Championships Men, Women & Wheelchair 2014 wird auch in diesem Jahr erneut viele hochklassige und spannende Matches hervorbringen. Die letzte Europameisterschaft wurde aus deutscher Sicht erheblich getrübt, zum ersten Mal seit sehr langer Zeit blieb das deutsche Team ohne Medaille. Alle Sieger des Vorjahres findet man im Artikel von 2013 —> Dynamic Billard European Championships Men, Women & Wheelchair 2013. Den Medaillenspiegel 2013 gewann Polen vor den Niederlanden. Nur ganz wenige, der besten Pool Billard Spieler Europas, werden in Kyrenia nicht am Start sein. Mick Hill (GBR) gewinnt 2013 UK 9-Ball Open im Finale gegen Phil Burford (GBR) mit 11-7. Den 3. Platz belegen Ruslan Chinakhov (RUS) und Michael Valentine (GBR). Nach dem 2013 British Grand Prix in Telford geht es direkt weiter mit der 2013 UK 9-Ball Open. Die 2013 UK 9-Ball Open sind das zweite Turnier im Rahmen des 2013 GB9 Festival of Pool und laufen vom 02. – 03. Dezember. Die UK 9 Ball Open haben ein Gesamtpreisgeld von ca. 25.000 Euro und das dürfte sicher die besten europäischen Pool Billard Spieler anlocken. Turnierbericht 1st Playhouse Actiondays Geschrieben von Kay Knorrscheidt Am Freitagabend fand das Duell Fürstenfeldbruck gegen England im Mosconi-Cup-Modus statt. Hierbei traten für Fürstenfeldbruck Harald Stolka, Valery Kuloyants und Philipp Stojanovic aus der Bundesligamannschaft und für England Mark Gray (mehrfacher Eurotour-Sieger), Daryl Peach (Weltmeister im 9-Ball) und Chris Melling (Fürstenfeldbrucks Neuverpflichtung in dieser Saison) gegeneinander an. Gespielt wurde auf 21 Gewinnspiele mit Shot-Clock. Das heißt jeder Spieler hat 35 Sekunden Zeit, seinen Stoß auszuführen, ansonsten gilt es als Foul und der Gegner kommt an den Tisch. Die Spieler aus Fürstenfeldbruck waren konzentriert und hoch motiviert, das uralte sportliche Duell Deutschland gegen England für sich zu entscheiden. Die extra für diesen Event aufgebaute Arena um den Center Court war brechend voll, wer zu spät kam musste stehen und konnte teilweise nur mit Glück wenigstens eine kleine Ecke des Tisches im Auge behalten. Dieser Zustand tat der Stimmung jedoch nicht im Mindesten Abbruch. Das Publikum klatschte, jubelte und feuerte an, wann immer es die kleinste Möglichkeit dazu erhielt. November 2013 findet im wunderschönen Hotel CastelBrando in Cison di Valmarino/Italien der nächste Eurotour Stop statt, die CastelBrando Open 2013. Die Euro-Tour hat leider derzeit mit etwas rückläufigen Teilnehmerzahlen zu kämpfen, aber dennoch hat sich bis heute ein ca. 100 Teilnehmer großes Feld zusammengefunden. Das Gesamtpreisgeld beträgt 34.000 Euro und gespielt wird 9 Ball auf 9 Gewinnspiele mit Wechselbreak. The $66,000 tournament has been a staple on the pool calendar for over two decades and was making its first appearance in the UK since 2005. In front of an excellent first night crowd at the popular Yorkshire venue, defending champion Karol Skowerski of Poland fell at the first hurdle as was beaten 8-3 by England’s Chris Melling who looked in fine form in front of his local fans.
