18/05/2017 Cohen sneaked past Souquet at Dynamic Billard Austrian Open In a dramatic winner’s round 1 match at the Dynamic Billard Austrian Open in Alpina Wellness & Sports Hotel, St. Johann i.Pg., Austria, between the two grandmasters Ralf Souquet (GER) and Stephan Cohen (FRA), Cohen remained the upper hand and bested Souquet by a whisker with 9:8. The first half of the match belonged to Souquet. The German dominated at the table and Cohen struggled to get going. After 13 racks, Souquet was on the hill leading 8:5 over Cohen. At that point in time, the odds for Cohen were close to zero. But Cohen came back. He took some racks an the pressure was on for Souquet. With Souquet being in the lead 8:6, both players went for a time-out. When they got back to the table, it seemed to have worked better for Cohen. Die Austria Womens Open 2017 gewinnt Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) im Finale gegen Veronika Ivanovskaia (GER) mit 7-2. Den 3. Platz belegen Kristina Tkach (RUS) und Tina Vogelmann (GER). Die anspruchsvollste Pool Billard Tour der Welt macht ihren nächsten Stopp in Österreich. Die Austria Open 2017 finden vom 18. – 20. Mai 2017 in St. Johann statt. Mit mal wieder mehr als 160 Teilnehmern ist das Starterfeld dieser Euro-Tour erneut sehr gut besetzt, bis auf wenige Ausnahmen wird auch diese Veranstaltung die besten Pool Billard Spieler Europas an die Tische bringen. Die letzte Euro-Tour Veranstaltung Ende März in Portugal, gewann der Niederländer Nick van der Berg, er sicherte sich damit seinen zehnten Sieg auf der Tour. 10th April – 2017 Mosconi Cup Souquet consolidates position at the top GERMANY’S RALF SOUQUET tightened his grip at the top of the European 2017 Mosconi Cup rankings with another great performance as he finished in the top four of the recent Portuguese Open in Salgados. With no ‘World’ events having taken place yet, the ‘European’ and ‘World’ rankings are currently one and the same and the Kaiser has opened up a 45 points lead over third spot. Souquet has already appeared in more Mosconi Cups than any other European player (16) and will looking to return to the side for his first appearance since 2013. Nick van den Berg, a winner in Portugal is up to second on 90, 33 points ahead of David Alcaide in third spot. Unlike previous years there will be only two rankings instead of three. Nick van den Berg (NED) gewinnt Portugal Open 2017 im Finale gegen David Alcaide (SPA) mit 8-5. Den 3. Platz belegen Mark Gray (GBR) und Ralf Souquet (GER). Die Portugal Women Open 2017 gewinnt Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) im Finale gegen Kristina Tkach (RUS) mit 7-3. Den 3. Platz belegen Ina Kaplan (GER) und Katarzyna Wesolowska (POL). Direkt im Anschluss an die derzeit laufende Pool Billard Europameisterschaft findet an gleicher Stelle, in Albufeira/Portugal, der nächste Euro-Tour Stopp statt. Vom 30. März bis zum 01. April 2017 wird es für sehr viele EM Teilnehmer direkt weitergehen. Im Moment sind mehr als 180 Teilnehmer für die Portugal Open 2017 angemeldet und dies verspricht, wie bereits von der Euro-Tour gewohnt, spannende und hochklassige Partien. Die letzte Euro-Tour Veranstaltung vor einigen Wochen konnte der deutsche Ausnahmespieler Ralf Souquet für sich entscheiden, er bezwang im Finale der Italy Open 2017 Ruslan Chinakhov aus Russland mit 9-5. 22/03/2017 Deklerck, Matas and Bijsterbosch win the 10-ball titles At the Dynamic Billard European Championships for Men, Women and Wheelchair Athletes in the Salgados Palace Hotel in Albufeira, Portugal, the gold medals in 10-ball have been awarded. Kurt Deklerck (BEL), Amalia Matas (ESP) and Marc Bijsterbosch (NED) have taken the titles in their respective division. It is the first European Champion title for the 23-year-old Bijsterbosch. After having eliminated his teammate and favoured player Niels Feijen (NED) 10:8 in the quarterfinal match, Bijsterbosch took on Francisco Sanchez-Ruiz (ESP) in the semi-final. He stood tall and took the victory with 10:6 which brought him into the final match. His opponent there was Christian Sparrenlowv-Fischer (SWE), another underdog that was not expected in the final match at all. Fischer eliminated Gabor Solymosi (HUN) clearly with 10:3 in the quarterfinal and Denis Grabe (EST) in a heartbreaking semi-final with 10:9. The final match was on between two newbies. 20/03/2017 10-ball competition brings up several upsets at the European Championships The first day of the Dynamic Billard European Championships for Men, Women and Wheelchair athletes brought several surprises in all divisions. 102 men, 40 women and 14 participants in the wheelchair division have entered the discipline in order to see who will take the titles in the end. In the winner’s qualification round of the men’s division 10-ball, Stephan Cohen (FRA) defeated Nick van den Berg (NED) surprisingly clear with 8:3. There is a story behind both of the two opponents. Cohen just today received his luggage after being here already for three days. He had to borrow cue stick and equipment and went through the straight pool with stuff from his fellow players. Probably he was very happy today to play in his own clothes with his own cue stick and equipment. On the other side, Nick van den Berg needs a good finish during these European Championships. Ina Kaplan (GER) gewinnt Italian Womens Open 2017 im Finale gegen Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) mit 7-4. Den 3. Platz belegen Veronika Ivanovskaia (GER) und Katarzyna Wesolowska (POL). Übermorgen beginnt in Treviso die Euro-Tour Saison 2017, endlich muss man sagen. Die Euro-Tour gehört seit vielen Jahren zu der Konstanten in der Pool Billard Szene und wenn man ehrlich ist gibt es nichts Vergleichbares in Europa und dem Rest der Welt. Immer erstklassige Teilnehmerfelder, eine meist sehr schöne Location mit einwandfreien Material und einen mehr als professionellen Livestream von Kozoom. Zudem werden alle Veranstaltungen nach einem strickten Zeitplan durchgeführt, hier wissen die Spieler und Zuschauer wann die Partien exakt ausgetragen werden. David Alcaide (SPA) gewinnt Treviso Open 2016 im Finale gegen Joshua Filler (GER) mit 9-6. Den 3. Platz belegen Niels Feijen (NED) und Mieszko Fortunski (POL). Bei den Damen gewinnt Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) im Finale gegen Kamila Khodjaeva (BEL) mit 7-3. Den 3. Platz belegen Katarzyna Wesolowska (POL) und Veronika Ivanovskaia (GER). Der letzte Euro-Tour Stop des Jahres findet ab dem kommenden Donnerstag in Treviso/Italien statt. Die Herren spielen vom 24. – 26. November und die Damenveranstaltung geht einen Tag länger bis zum 27. November 2016. 14 Tage vor dem wohl wichtigsten und spannendsten Pool Billard Ereignis überhaupt, dem Mosconi Cup, messen sich in Treviso noch einmal die besten Spieler und Spielerinnen Europas. 28th October – 2016 Mosconi Cup All to play for in Kuwait WITH TEAM USA’s final selection being a straight shoot-out with three players contesting two spots, the European picture is far more complicated with the ‘World’ and ‘Combined’ list reaching their conclusion at next week’s Kuwait 9 Ball Championship. With Holland’s Niels Feijen already in the team after he topped the ‘Euro’ list earlier in the month, there are several players in contention for the final two coveted Mosconi Cup spots. Mosconi Cup XXIII takes place at London’s Alexandra Palace from Tuesday to Friday 6th- 9th December and features two five-man teams representing America and Europe. The tournament comprises a series of singles and doubles matches with the first team to reach 11 points carrying off the famous trophy.
