Souquet prevents van den Berg from taking another title in Treviso

Italian Open 2015 – 27/02/2015 Ralf Souquet (GER), BCA Hall of Famer, has just ousted current number one Euro-Tour player Nick van den Berg (NED) with a very convincing 9:4 victory in the single elimination round of the final 32 players. Many people said that this would have been a nice final match for the Dynamic Billard Italian Open 2015. Souquet versus van den Berg is alway promising high class pool billiard. And that’s what it was this time, too. However, it was a bit one sided. Van den Berg made some mistakes in the early stage of the match whereas Souquet performed rock solid and left no doubts that he is on a mission here in Treviso. „I think I really played a pretty good match here“ stated Souquet, „I felt very confident and I guess the score of 9:4 says it all“. Souquet will now proceed to the round of the last 16 players which will be played tomorrow morning at 10:00 CET where he will have to deal with Philipp Stojanovic (CRO). […]

Denis Grabe (EST) gewinnt Slovenian Open 2014 im Finale gegen Marc Bijsterbosch (NED) mit 9-4. Den 3. Platz teilen sich Mats Schjetne (NOR) und Marcus Chamat (SWE). Der nächste Euro-Tour Stop 2014 findet direkt nach den Europameisterschaften der Jugendlichen und Senioren in Portoroz/Slowenien statt. In der Zeit vom 21. – 23. August 2014 trifft sich in Portoroz bei den Slovenian Open 2014 mal wieder annähernd die Gesamte europäischen Pool Billard Elite. Die letzte Euro-Tour Veranstaltung im Mai fand in Österreich statt und die Austria Open 2014 gewann Denis Grabe (EST) im Finale gegen Nikos Ekonomopoulos (GRE) mit 9-1. Natürlich ist auch diese Euro-Tour teil des Mosconi Cup Rankings 2014. Für dieses Ranking des beliebtesten Pool Billard Events des Jahres werden Punkte verteilt und die ersten drei werden direkt nominiert für das Team Europa Anfang Dezember. 19th September, 888.com World Cup of Pool 2013 Chinese Taipei, Greece and Italy win as first round nears end Chinese Taipei 7-5 Belgium Greece 7-0 Australia Italy 7-3 Spain THERE WAS more first round action in the 888.com World Cup of Pool at the York Hall in London and there were wins for Chinese Taipei, Greece and Italy who all make their way through to the second round. Italy won the session closer as they got the better of Spain in the Mediterranean clash. The Spanish – David Alcaide and Juan Carlos Exposito – didn’t enjoy the best of luck as they scratched a few times and were confronted by some tricky layouts. The Italian pair of Bruno Muratore and Fabio Petroni, who has been representing their country since the early days of the competition, looked in very good shape though and will be quietly confident about the weekend. „Team Philippines gewinnt 2013 World Cup of Pool gegen Team Holland mit 10-8. In einem sehr spannenden Finale sind Lee Vann Corteza und Dennis Orcollo ein wenig stabiler und gewinnen gegen Nick van den Berg und Niels Feijen hochverdient. Den 3. Platz belegen die Teams aus Taiwan (Ko Pin-Yi & Chang Jung-Lin) und Finland (Mika Immonen & Petri Makkonen)!“ Vom 17. – 22. September 2013 findet in der Londoner York Hall das wohl aufregendste Pool Billard Event des Jahres statt, der World Cup of Pool. Nach 6 Jahren kehrt die Matchroom Sport Veranstaltung zurück in die legendäre York Hall. An die Stätte, in der im letzten Dezember die Europäer beim Mosconi Cup erfolgreich waren.
