Mika Immonen (FIN) gewinnt Turning Stone Classic XXV 2016 im Finale gegen Eric Hjorleifson (CAN) mit 13-2. Den 3. Platz belegt Oscar Dominguez (USA). Das Turning Stone Classic feiert in diesem Januar sein 25. Jubiläum. Die 25. Ausgabe des Turning Stone Classic verspricht wie in den letzten Jahren Pool Billard der Extraklasse. Dieses 9 Ball Event gehört zu Mike Zuglan’s Joss Northeast 9 Ball Tour und ist eines der populärsten Turniere der USA. Hier stimmt zumeist alles, eine tolle Organisation, ein starkes Teilnehmerfeld und ein sehr gutes Preisgeld. Titelverteidiger des Turning Stone Classic ist Jayson Shaw aus Schottland. Jayson Shaw hat seinen Wohnsitz mittlerweile in die USA verlegt und er gewann die letzten drei Ausgaben dieses Turniers. Im August 2015 gewann er im Finale gegen Mike Dechaine aus den USA mit 13-10 –> Turning Stone Classic XXIV 2015. Auch bei dieser Ausgabe vom 07. – 10. The final match was the eighteenth of the event, which was a triples match seeing captain Mika Immonen, Darren Appleton, and Albin Ouschan securing the final point for the win. Reyes & Immonen Agree on Toughest Teams Ever Faced at Kings Cup

Manila, Philippines – The Kings Cup is hours away to launch. Both Asia and Team West have been practicing and ready. In a media conference yesterday, all 8 players of the Kings Cup were interviewed. Captain Mika Immonen, one of the most experienced players alive in team play competition representing Europe numerous times, was asked if this was the toughest team he had ever faced. Mika without hesitation admitted this was indeed the greatest challenge in team competition. Captain Efren Reyes was asked the same question back, and his response was concurring with Immonen’s. „This is the most concentrated team of talent I have ever faced. It’s going to be a real battle“, said Immonen. „Every one of their players is a champion. Team West gewinnt Kings Cup 2015 gegen Team Asia mit 10-7. Vom 19. – 21. November 2015 findet in Manila/Philippinen die 1. Ausgabe des Kings Cup statt. Dieses Pool Billard Show-Event wurde von Dragon Promotions ins Leben gerufen und als großes Vorbild dient der alljährige Mosconi Cup von Matchroom Sport. Bei Kings Cup 2015 gehen zwei Teams zu je vier Spielern an den Start.
