Ko Pin-Yi (TW) gewinnt 2015 WPA World 9 Ball Championship im Finale gegen Shane Van Boening (USA) mit 13-11. Den 3. Platz belegen Ko Ping-Chung (TW) und Wu Jiaqing (CHN). Ab dem 07. September 2015 wird in Doha/Katar die diesjährige 9 Ball Weltmeisterschaft ausgetragen. Die 2015 WPA World 9 Ball Championship läuft bis zum 18. September 2015 und es werden so ziemlich alle Stars der Pool Billard Welt in Doha anzutreffen sein. Die 9 Ball WM gehört jedes zu den Events mit der größten Strahlkraft und dem größten Prestige. Und kaum ein anderes Turnier ist wohl so schwer zu gewinnen wie die Titelkämpfe im Al Arabi Sports Club. Extreme Temperaturen draußen, Klimaanlagen die den Spielort ziemlich runterkühlen und die besten Spieler der Welt. Albin Ouschan overpowered the Canadian top player John Morra (CAN) with 11:8 and obtained the crown of the 2015 China Open. John Morra did not have smooth sailing in the tournament. To the contrary, he lost his first match with Vietnamese Do Thekien 5:7. And had to make his way through the loser’s side. He came up with an impressing performance, overcame Marc Bijsterbosch (NED) 11:8, Warren Kiamco (PHI) 11:9, Fu Jianbo (CHN) 11:10 and Nick van den Berg of Netherlands with 11:8, booked a seat in the final match with Albin Ouschan. Ouschan’s first match played against Jalal Yousef from Chile. Ouschan ended up well, and defeated Yousef with 9:6. In the next match, Ouschan played Che-Wei Fu from Taiwan, both players played solid, however, Fu played a bit better, Ouschan lost 8:9 in the end. It’s nearly an all Asian-field, with three Filipinos, three Taiwanese, one Chinese and a Spaniard in the mix. It’s a heady cocktail of long time veterans and some of the great young players of the day. CueSports International, Henderson, Nevada (January 27, 2015) – CSI is pleased to announce that the 2014 CSI Invitational 8-Ball Championship matches have been released on the CSI YouTube channel. Fifteen (15) matches featuring some of the best players in the world, all filmed in the Predator Arena, can be viewed in their entirety absolutely free! The format consisted of four groups of four players each competing in a round robin format. Each group contained one player from each region – North America, Europe, Philippines, and Taiwan. In der Zeit vom 18. – 25. Juli findet im Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas die CSI Invitational Championships 2014 statt. Eines der spannendsten Events des Jahres wird während der nationalen US Amateur Meisterschaft (2014 BCAPL National Championships) ausgetragen. Die BCAPL National Championships ist der perfekte Rahmen für 16 der besten Spieler der Welt. Es gibt bei den CSI Invitational Championships 2014 ein 8 Ball Turnier und ein 10 Ball Turnier. Die 16 Spieler spielen in vier Gruppen mit je vier Spielern im Round Robin System (Jeder gegen jeden/Race to 8) den Gewinner der Gruppe aus. Die ersten vier werden dann laut Veranstalter die Halbfinals und anschließend das Finale (Race to 11) spielen. Die 9 Ball Weltmeisterschaft der Herren gilt zusammen mit den China Open als eines der interessantesten und spannendsten Pool Billard Events im ganzen Jahr. Bis zum 27.
