The 2014 Qualifiers for the 74th World Tournament of 14.1 Begins New York City, NY – For the eighth year in a row, qualifiers will be held nationwide for the 74th edition of The World Tournament of 14.1. Players all over the United States will be able to take their chance with a low entry to win a spot to play against the world’s most extraordinary straight pool players! Each qualifier winner will be guaranteed a minimal of 5 round robin matches in the finale main event. The main event will take place once more in New York City. Dragon Promotions and Dr. Michael Fedak are pleased to bring the 74th production of the oldest billiard event in the world on August 4th-9th, 2014. Darren Appleton (GBR) gewinnt The Accu-Stats „Make It Happen“ – All Star Invitational 2014 mit insgesamt 8 Siegen, den 2. Platz belegen Dennis Orcollo (PHI) und Shane Van Boening (USA) mit 6 Siegen. Die Gesamtübersicht gibt es weiter unten. Am morgigen Dienstag, den 15. April 2014 beginnt im Sandcastle Billiards in Edison/New Jersey das Accu-Stats „Make It Happen“ All Star Invitational 2014. Bis zum 20. April treten vier der weltbesten Pool Billard Spieler der Welt gegeneinander an. Im 8 Ball (Race to 10), One Pocket (Race to 4), Straight Pool (Race to 150 Points) und 10 Ball (Race to 11) werden Thorsten Hohman (GER – World 9 Ball Champion 2013), Shane Van Boening (USA – US Open 9 Ball Champion 2013), Darren Appleton (GBR – World 9 Ball Champion 2012) und Dennis Orcollo (PHI – China Open Champion 2012) jeder gegen jeden spielen. „Thorsten Hohmann (GER) gewinnt Accu-Stats Straight Pool Invitational 2013 mit einer Bilanz von 6-2. Den 2. Platz belegt Mika Immonen (FIN) vor Ralf Souquet (GER) auf Platz 3″ Ab morgen findet in Edison/New Jersey das Accu-Stats Straight Pool Invitational statt. Vom 10. – 13. August 2013 spielen im Sandcastle Billiards fünf Topspieler Jeder gegen Jeden in der Disziplin 14.1 bzw. Straight Pool. Die 5 Teilnehmer sind Mika Immonen (FIN), Thorsten Hohmann (GER), Ralf Souquet (GER), Oliver Ortmann (GER) und Danny Harriman (USA). Diese Spieler werden im Double Round Robin System (Jeder spielt gegen Jeden zweimal) bis 75 Punkte spielen und pro Sieg bekommt der Sieger 750$. Auch das höchste Break bekommt eine Sonderprämie. Accu-Stats Video Productions ist bekannt für sehr gute Livestreams die auch später auf DVD erhältlich sein werden. Auch wenn die Preise für diese DVD’s recht hoch sind, so rechtfertigen sie dennoch die Produktionskosten. Das Tagesticket für den Stream kostet 15$ und der Preis für alle Tage beträgt 50$.
