29/03/2017 Albin Ouschan is EPBF Player of the Year 2016 At the player’s party of the recently held Dynamic Billard European Championships for Men, Women and Wheelchair Athletes in the Salgados Palace Hotel in Albufeira, Portugal, Albin Ouschan (AUT) was awarded the title of EPBF Player of the Year 2016. Five players were in the race for the award. Henrik Larsson (SWE), Francisco Sanchez-Ruiz (ESP), Kristina Tkach (RUS), Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) and Albin Ouschan were up for vote. Albin Ouschan was the clear winner in the end, taking all three categories: the public vote, the member vote and the Board and sponsor vote. Probably one huge advantage for him was his achievements in 2016 which include winning the 9-ball World Champion title and the European Champion title in straight pool on his home soil in St. Johann i.Pg, Austria. Also during the recent Championships, the European Pocket Billard Federation held its General Assembly and several Board meetings. 11/02/2016 The vote for this year’s EPBF Player of the Year is on… Starting today, the public voting can be done on http://europeanpocketbilliardfederation.com/player-of-the-year/ Nominees for this coveted trophy are: Kamila Khodjaeva (BEL) Niels Feijen (NED) Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) Jouni Tahti (FIN) Francisco Diaz (ESP) They have all performed extremely well in 2015 and would all deserve the trophy. However, there can only be one player holding the title in the end. The voting consists of three parts: The public vote The website for the public vote will be open from now on until March 20th, 2016. The votes then will be counted and points will be awarded to the players, depending on how many votes they have received. The member vote All national federations will get a vote and can support the athlete of their liking. The Sponsor/Board/Special vote Special individuals will also get a voting card and can help their favorite through the card.
