Shane Van Boening (USA) gewinnt Open 10 Ball Pro Players Championship 2017 im Finale gegen Johann Chua (PHI). Den 3. Platz belegen Dennis Hatch (USA) und Carlo Biado (PHI). Während in Portugal am Donnerstag der nächste Euro-Tour Stopp stattfindet beginnt in den USA die Super Billards Expo 2017. Teil dieser Billard Messe sind u.a. die Open 10 Ball Pro Players Championship 2017. Neben vielen weiteren Amateur Events in unterschiedlichen Kategorien werden bei diesem Pro Event einige der besten Pool Billard Spieler der Welt aufeinandertreffen und um ein Gesamtpreisgeld von 47.000$ spielen. Während bei den unterschiedlichen Amateur Events mehr als 1.000 Spieler erwartet werden, sind es bei den Open 10 Ball Pro Players Championship lediglich 64 Spieler. 25/02/2017 „The Kaiser“ wins his 22nd Euro-Tour event! Ralf Souquet (GER), also known as „The Kaiser“, wins his 22nd Euro-Tour event Italy with an impressive 9:5 victory over „The Siberian Express“ Ruslan Chinakhov (RUS) in the final match of the Dynamic Billard Italian Open in BHR Best Western Hotel in Treviso, Italy. The single elimination started with a huge effort for Souquet. He met Ivar Sarin (NED) in the round of the last 32 players and barely made it with 9:8 over the young Dutch player. Then today, he marched on and eliminated Konstantin Stepanov (RUS) 9:7, surprise player Damianos Giallourakis (GRE) 9:6 and in the semi-final match he ousted Daryl Peach (GBR) with another 9:7 victory. Chinakhov’s way to the final match was not easier. He dealt with Wojciech Sroczynski (POL) 9:2, ousted his young teammate Sergey Lutsker (RUS) 9:4, ended Mario He’s (AUT) run 9:4 and finally took down Denis Grabe (EST) 9:3. 24/02/2017 Aarts pipped Feijen to the post In the winner’s qualification round of the Dynamic Billard Italian Open, Ivo Aarts (NED) defeated his fellow countryman „The Terminator“ Niels Feijen (NED) in a heartbreaker by a whisker with 9:8. Both players already had two victories under their belt today when they met on table 10 in the BHR Best Western Hotel in Treviso, Italy. Feijen, currently ranked nr.3 in the Euro-Tour after Gray and Alcaide, made short work with Sergio Lagunas Moreno (ESP) and Mustafa Alnar (TNC). He handed a doughnut to Moreno and only allowed three racks in the account of Alnar. His place in the winner’s qualification round was never in danger at all. Aarts however needed to struggle hard for his spot in that match. He took down Sebastian Staab (GER) 9:4 and then just made it with 9:8 in a fiercely fought over match against Sergey Lutsker (RUS). 23/02/2017 Europe’s number one defeated in Treviso in round one In his first match at the Dynamic Billard Italian Open, current Euro-Tour and European ranking leader Mark Gray (GBR) has suffered a rough defeat against Christian Sparrenloev-Fischer (SWE). „I need to improve rapid or home it will be!!!“ stated Gray on his Facebook page after today’s match. Obviously, he did not play his best game. But also his young opponent from Sweden took care about not letting Gray playing like he wanted to. Sparrenloev kept the match open at all times and made sure that Gray could not get an advantage over him. In fact, as the match unfolded it turned out that the opponents took racks in turn and the distance between the two was never bigger than one point in difference. After 14 racks, the match was levelled at 7:7. Sparrenloev broke the 15th rack and had one ball down with a long shot at the 1-ball. He confidently pocketed the difficult shot and went for the rack. Ina Kaplan (GER) gewinnt Italian Womens Open 2017 im Finale gegen Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) mit 7-4. Den 3. Platz belegen Veronika Ivanovskaia (GER) und Katarzyna Wesolowska (POL). Übermorgen beginnt in Treviso die Euro-Tour Saison 2017, endlich muss man sagen. Die Euro-Tour gehört seit vielen Jahren zu der Konstanten in der Pool Billard Szene und wenn man ehrlich ist gibt es nichts Vergleichbares in Europa und dem Rest der Welt. Immer erstklassige Teilnehmerfelder, eine meist sehr schöne Location mit einwandfreien Material und einen mehr als professionellen Livestream von Kozoom. David Alcaide (SPA) gewinnt 2017 dafabet World Pool Masters im Finale gegen Jayson Shaw (SCO) mit 8-7. Den 3. Platz belegen Chang Jung-Lin (TW) und Albin Ouschan (AUT). Ab dem kommenden Freitag, den 17. Februar 2017 wird in Gibraltar die 24. Ausgabe des World Pool Masters ausgetragen. Bis zum Sonntag, den 19. Februar werden 16 der besten Pool Billard Spieler der Welt in der Tercentenary Sports Hall um das Gesamtpreisgeld von 80.000$ spielen. Der Gewinner bei diesem von Matchroom Sport organisierten Top-Event kassiert 20.000$. In den letzten beiden Jahren war es US Superstar Shane Van Boening der in sehr überzeugender Manier das World Pool Masters für sich entschieden hat. Hier gibt es alles zum World Pool Masters der letzten Jahre —> World Pool Masters. 2016 wurde das World Pool Masters nicht ausgetragen, wir können nur spekulieren und vermuten das einige Terminüberschneidungen mit anderen von Matchroom organisierten Veranstaltungen wie z.B. Am kommenden Freitag startet in Indiana/USA eines der spektakulärsten Pool Billard Turniere des Jahres. Das Derby City Classic 2017 startet somit in seine insgesamt 19. Ausgabe und ist wie in den letzten Jahren auch eine sehr komplexe und fast schon unüberschaubare Veranstaltung. Die ist eher als Kompliment zu verstehen, Pool Billard total 🙂 In der Zeit vom 20. – 28. Januar 2017 wird von den Teilnehmern alles gefordert. Es vergeht kaum ein Tag, an dem die Spieler nicht an einem Turnier oder Side-Event teilnehmen können. Zusätzlich wird es wie gewohnt beim Derby City Classic viele spannende und hochdotierte Money-Matches geben. Es wird neben der 9 Ball Veranstaltung noch 9 Ball Bank, One Pocket, Straight Pool und viele Mini-Turniere geben, um die Spieler bei Laune zu halten. Gerade bei den Bank oder One Pocket Wettbewerben kommt es sehr häufig zu Überraschungen. Eines der Highlights beim Derby City Classic ist die 10 Ball BigFoot Challenge, die auf einem 10 Fuß Pool Billard Tisch der Firma Diamond ausgetragen wird.
