WPA World 9 Ball Championships 2013 – Juniors, Girls & Wheelchair

Natasha Serosthan (RUS) gewinnt bei den Mädchen im Finale gegen Yuki Hiraguchi (JAP) mit 6-2. Bei den Junioren gewinnt Ping Chung Ko (TW) gegen Sebastian Batkowski (POL) das Finale mit 8-5. Jouni Tahti (FIN) gewinnt das Finale der Rollstuhlfahrer gegen Fred Dinsmore (IRE). Seit heute bis zum 12. Dezember 2013 läuft in Johannesburg/Südafrika die WPA World 9 Ball Championships 2013 für Junioren, Mädchen und Rollstuhlfahrer. Meiner Meinung nach hat die Vermarktung dieser 9 Ball Weltmeisterschaft bislang nicht stattgefunden und die World Pool Billiard Association macht erneut einen mehr als peinlichen Eindruck. Das Turnier läuft seit heute und bislang sind keinerlei Informationen weitergereicht wurden. Es wirkt so, als ob diese Veranstaltung vonseiten des Weltverbandes eher ein lästiges Übel ist. Nun, genug gemeckert 😉 Viele Informationen gibt es leider nicht, es gehen bei den Junioren die 32 besten Spieler Ihrer Altersklasse in Gold Reef City an den Start. 18th September, 888.com World Cup of Pool 2013 US, Singapore through as India win thriller USA 7-5 Kuwait Singapore 7-5 Poland India 7-6 Canada THERE WAS some superb drama at the 888.com World Cup of Pool this evening as India came through a hill-hill thriller against Canada to move through to the next round where they will meet Holland on Friday evening. The York Hall was packed to the rafters with fired-up Indian fans and their team gave them plenty to cheer about in the end. Earlier in the evening, Team USA overcame an early stutter to find their feet and comeback to beat Kuwait to advance to the last 16 of the 888.com World Cup Pool. Shane Van Boening was a little anxious in advance as his partner Johnny Archer had left it very late to arrive in London but all was well in the end as they looked a smooth unit in the closing stages. „Team Philippines gewinnt 2013 World Cup of Pool gegen Team Holland mit 10-8. In einem sehr spannenden Finale sind Lee Vann Corteza und Dennis Orcollo ein wenig stabiler und gewinnen gegen Nick van den Berg und Niels Feijen hochverdient. Den 3. Platz belegen die Teams aus Taiwan (Ko Pin-Yi & Chang Jung-Lin) und Finland (Mika Immonen & Petri Makkonen)!“ Vom 17. – 22. „Chinese-Taipei gewinnt World Pool Team Championship 2012 im Finale gegen Japan mit 4-0. Den 3. Platz belegen das Team China 2 und Großbritannien!“ Vom 01. – 07. Juli finden in Beijing/China die Liando U Valley World Pool Team Championship 2012 statt. Bereits 2010 war die World Team Championship eines der herausragenden Ereignisse des Jahres. 2010 wurde die WTC in Hannover ausgetragen und am ende setzte sich Großbritanien im Finale gegen die Philippinen mit 4-1 durch. Dieses Jahr wurde das Reglement ein wenig verändern, jetzt bestehen die Teams aus Damen und Herren. Der Modus wird wie folgt aussehen, Einzel (Herren 8 Ball Race to 6), Einzel (9 Ball Race to 8) und Doppel (10 Ball Race to 7). Alle Partien werden mit Wechselbreak gespielt. In jeder einzelnen Mannschaftspartie werden immer 6 Matches gespielt. Jedes Team muss aus mindstens 4 Spielern bestehen inkl. einer Dame. Die Dame muss immer im 9 Ball und 10 Ball eingesetzt werden und kein Spieler darf mehr als 2 Matches spielen. Das Gewinnerteam bekommt 3 Punkte, bei Unentschieden gibt es einen Punkt. […]
