Niels Feijen (NED) gewinnt 2013 PartyPoker.com World Pool Masters im Finale gegen Darren Appleton (GBR) mit 8-6 und sichert sich damit den ersten World Pool Masters Titel seiner Karriere. Vom 25. – 27. Oktober 2013 findet in Barnsley/Großbritannien die 21. Auflage des World Pool Masters statt. Im Barnsley Metrodome präsentiert Matchroom Sport ein weiteres Pool Billard Event der Spitzenklasse. Das Einladungsturnier bringt jedes Jahr eine Auswahl der besten Spieler der Welt zusammen und verspricht Pool Billard auf höchstem Niveau. Rekordgewinner des World Pool Masters ist der deutsche Superstar Ralf Souquet, er konnte diese Veranstaltung bereits sechs mal gewinnen. Shane Van Boening (USA) gewinnt US Open 9 Ball Championships 2013 im Finale gegen Lee Vann Corteza (PHI) mit 13-10. Den 3. Platz belegt Jayson Shaw (SCO)! Die 38. Ausgabe der US Open 9 Ball Championships findet vom 13. – 19. Oktober 2013 im Marriott Hotel in Chesapeake statt. Stand heute, den 12. Oktober sind mehr als 160 Teilnehmer gemeldet. Dieses sehr traditionsreiche Pool Billard 9 Ball Turnier ist dass einzige weltweit das seit mehr als 30 Jahren ohne Unterbrechung stattfindet. Es gilt als eines der am schwersten zu gewinnenden Turniere überhaupt und hat den Stellenwert einer Weltmeisterschaft. Der erste Sieger der US Open 9 Ball 1976 war Mike Sigel (USA). Der erste Europäer, der dieses Turnier gewann ist der Deutsche Ralf Souquet. Er ist damit in der Geschichte dieses Turniers einer von lediglich drei Europäern, die die US Open 9 Ball gewinnen konnten. Die gesamte Siegerliste gibt es weiter unter. Konstantin Stepanov (RUS) gewinnt North Cyprus Open 2013 im Finale gegen Daniele Corrieri (ITA) mit 9-7. Den 3. Platz teilen sich Niels Feijen (NED) und Bruno Muratore (ITA)! Vom 10. – 12. Oktober 2013 findet nach etwa zweimonatiger Pause das nächste Euro-Tour Event statt. Die North Cyprus Open 2013 werden im Acapulco Holiday Resort in Kyrenia/North Cyprus ausgetragen. Sicherlich gibt es weniger einladende Orte um Pool Billard zu spielen 🙂 Im Vorjahr gewann Nick Malai aus Albanien im Finale gegen Albin Ouschan (AUT) mit 9-5 diese 9 Ball Veranstaltung. Auch bei diesem Euro-Tour Event werden erneut sehr viele europäische Topspieler am Start sein, auch wenn man feststellen muss, dass die Teilnehmerzahl deutlich geringer ist als sonst. Leider fehlen bei den North Cyprus Open 2013 auch einige der besten Pool Billard Spieler, die man eigentlich in Kyrenia erwartet hätte. 21st September, 888.com World Cup of Pool 2013 Dutch and Finns through to last four Quarter Finals Finland 9-3 England B Holland 9-8 Japan HOLLAND AND FINLAND both made their way through to Sunday’s semi-finals of the 2013 888.com World Cup of Pool with wins over England B and Japan respectively and they will now face each other in the first semi-final on Sunday afternoon. The Dutch had to grind it out against Japan in a hill-hill thriller with both teams struggling at times, while the Finnish pair of Mika Immonen and Petri Makkonen looked in good shape against England B as their title defence continues. In the second match of the session, Japan and Holland both teams shared the opening racks as they tried not to give anything away with so much at stake. Round 1 England A 7-0 Indonesia Round 2 Finland 7-6 Korea England B 7-0 Germany THERE WAS double joy for the two English teams at the 888.com World Cup of Pool as first England A routed Indonesia 7-0 to reach the second round, and then the B team smashed Germany by a similar score line to reach the quarter-finals. Both teams looked in outstanding shape and with them both being in different halves of the draw the possibilities of an all-England final on Sunday night are not out of the question. England A, comprised of former World Champions Darren Appleton and Karl Boyes, looked very much the part as they completed the first round matches with a thumping 7-0 win over Indonesia at the York Hall to set up a second round game against Italy. 17th September, 888.com World Cup of Pool 2013 England B, Holland and Philippines through Holland 7-2 Scotland England B 7-4 Portugal Philippines 7-4 Croatia THERE were wins for three of the fancied teams at the 888.com World Cup of Pool as England B, Holland and the Philippines all made their way into the second round as play continued at the York Hall in London. The Philippines pair of Dennis Orcollo and Lee Vann Corteza closed out the evening beating Croatia – Karlo Dalmatin and Ivica Putnik – 7-4. The Croatians were in with a chance as they stayed with their opponents in the early stages, but a succession of errors saw the team spirit drain away. With a strong Filipino contingent in the crowd, including the Ambassador, the duo from Manila completed the win.
