2014 World Cup of Pool Schedule 12 August – 2014 World Cup of Pool Match Schedule Announced WITH THE 2014 World Cup of Pool set for the Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth from 23rd to 28th September, promoters Matchroom Sport can announce the schedule of matches for this prestigious $250,000 event. There are 16 first round matches in total with two sessions a day and three matches per session. Sessions are at 12 noon and 6.00pm until the weekend when the afternoon session takes place at 1.00pm, while the evenings continue at 6.00pm. Defending champions the Philippines – Dennis Orcollo and Lee Vann Corteza – are in action on the opening night when they face the best of South America in their quest for a fourth World Cup title. 2012 champions Finland, represented by Mika Immonen and Petri Makkonen, are also in action on the Tuesday night when they square off against Korea. Darren Appleton (GBR) gewinnt The ANDY CLOTH 74th World Tournament of 14.1 2014 im Finale gegen Shane Van Boening (USA) mit 200-27. Den 3. Platz belegen Max Eberle (USA) und Evgeny Stalev (RUS). Am nächsten Montag, den 04. August 2014 beginnt in New York/Queens das 74th World Tournament of 14.1 2014. Bereits zum 74. mal wird der beste 14.1 Spieler bei dieser inoffiziellen Weltmeisterschaft gesucht. Dieses 14.1 Turnier ist in den letzten Jahren ein ziemlich großer Erfolg. Leider gibt es immer weniger Turniere, bei denen heute noch 14.1 (Straight Pool) gespielt wird. Für viele ist diese Disziplin nach wie vor die Königsdisziplin und das komplexeste Spiel überhaupt. Titelverteidiger ist Thorsten Hohmann aus Deutschland, er gewann dieses Turnier im letzten Jahr bereits zum dritten mal. Warren Kiamco (PHI) gewinnt 3rd Annual Steinway Classic 2014 im Finale gegen Dennis Hatch (USA) mit 13-11. Den 3. Platz belegt Shaun Wilkie (USA). Die 3. Auflage des jedes Jahr sehr gut besetzten Steinway Classic findet am kommenden Wochenende vom 02. – 03. August 2014 statt. Im sehr beliebten Steinway Billiards in Queens/New York wird auch die 3. Auflage mit vielen internationalen Topspielern begeistern können. Das Steinway Classic ist Teil der Predator Pro/AM Tour und Titelverteidiger ist Shane Van Boening. Die Nr. 1 der Amerikaner bezwang im Vorjahr die Pool Billard Legende Earl „The Pearl“ Strickland im Finale mit 15-11. 2014 kommen wieder einige weitere prominente Namen hinzu und es gibt Added Money von 7.000$ zum Gesamtpreisgeld. In der Zeit vom 18. – 25. Juli findet im Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas die CSI Invitational Championships 2014 statt. Eines der spannendsten Events des Jahres wird während der nationalen US Amateur Meisterschaft (2014 BCAPL National Championships) ausgetragen. Die BCAPL National Championships ist der perfekte Rahmen für 16 der besten Spieler der Welt. Es gibt bei den CSI Invitational Championships 2014 ein 8 Ball Turnier und ein 10 Ball Turnier. Die 16 Spieler spielen in vier Gruppen mit je vier Spielern im Round Robin System (Jeder gegen jeden/Race to 8) den Gewinner der Gruppe aus. Die ersten vier werden dann laut Veranstalter die Halbfinals und anschließend das Finale (Race to 11) spielen.
