26/02/2017 Kaplan takes title at Dynamic Billard Italian Women Open The winner of the Dynamic Billard Italian Women Open is Ina Kaplan from Germany. She defeated Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) in an intense final match with 7:4. The event could not have started worse for Kaplan. She met her teammate Kristina Schagan (GER) in her first match of the tournament with 1:7. What a disaster for her! She had to go straight to the loser’s side of the event. There, she suddenly found her rhythm back and rode the winning wave over Ine Helvik (NOR) 7:5, Barbara Bolfelli (ITA) 7:6 and Elise Qiu (NED) with 7:4. These victories brought her back to the single elimination round of the last 16 players. Looking at the draw, Kaplan had mountains to climb. Forst she dealt with Kateryna Polovinchul (UKR) 7:3, then she surprisingly ousted Russian top player Kristina Tkach (RUS) 7:3 and overcame her teammate Veronika Ivanovskaia (GER) 7:4 in the semifinal. 25/02/2017 „The Kaiser“ wins his 22nd Euro-Tour event! Ralf Souquet (GER), also known as „The Kaiser“, wins his 22nd Euro-Tour event Italy with an impressive 9:5 victory over „The Siberian Express“ Ruslan Chinakhov (RUS) in the final match of the Dynamic Billard Italian Open in BHR Best Western Hotel in Treviso, Italy. The single elimination started with a huge effort for Souquet. He met Ivar Sarin (NED) in the round of the last 32 players and barely made it with 9:8 over the young Dutch player. Then today, he marched on and eliminated Konstantin Stepanov (RUS) 9:7, surprise player Damianos Giallourakis (GRE) 9:6 and in the semi-final match he ousted Daryl Peach (GBR) with another 9:7 victory. Chinakhov’s way to the final match was not easier. He dealt with Wojciech Sroczynski (POL) 9:2, ousted his young teammate Sergey Lutsker (RUS) 9:4, ended Mario He’s (AUT) run 9:4 and finally took down Denis Grabe (EST) 9:3. 24/02/2017 Aarts pipped Feijen to the post In the winner’s qualification round of the Dynamic Billard Italian Open, Ivo Aarts (NED) defeated his fellow countryman „The Terminator“ Niels Feijen (NED) in a heartbreaker by a whisker with 9:8. Both players already had two victories under their belt today when they met on table 10 in the BHR Best Western Hotel in Treviso, Italy. Feijen, currently ranked nr.3 in the Euro-Tour after Gray and Alcaide, made short work with Sergio Lagunas Moreno (ESP) and Mustafa Alnar (TNC). He handed a doughnut to Moreno and only allowed three racks in the account of Alnar. His place in the winner’s qualification round was never in danger at all. Aarts however needed to struggle hard for his spot in that match. He took down Sebastian Staab (GER) 9:4 and then just made it with 9:8 in a fiercely fought over match against Sergey Lutsker (RUS). 23/02/2017 Europe’s number one defeated in Treviso in round one In his first match at the Dynamic Billard Italian Open, current Euro-Tour and European ranking leader Mark Gray (GBR) has suffered a rough defeat against Christian Sparrenloev-Fischer (SWE). „I need to improve rapid or home it will be!!!“ stated Gray on his Facebook page after today’s match. Obviously, he did not play his best game. But also his young opponent from Sweden took care about not letting Gray playing like he wanted to. Sparrenloev kept the match open at all times and made sure that Gray could not get an advantage over him. In fact, as the match unfolded it turned out that the opponents took racks in turn and the distance between the two was never bigger than one point in difference. After 14 racks, the match was levelled at 7:7. Sparrenloev broke the 15th rack and had one ball down with a long shot at the 1-ball. He confidently pocketed the difficult shot and went for the rack. Ralf Souquet (GER) gewinnt Italian Open 2017 im Finale gegen Ruslan Chinakhov (RUS) mit 9-5, dies ist sein 22. Euro-Tour Titel! Den 3. Platz belegen Denis Grabe (EST) und Daryl Peach (GBR). Ina Kaplan (GER) gewinnt Italian Womens Open 2017 im Finale gegen Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) mit 7-4. Den 3. Platz belegen Veronika Ivanovskaia (GER) und Katarzyna Wesolowska (POL). Übermorgen beginnt in Treviso die Euro-Tour Saison 2017, endlich muss man sagen. Die Euro-Tour gehört seit vielen Jahren zu der Konstanten in der Pool Billard Szene und wenn man ehrlich ist gibt es nichts Vergleichbares in Europa und dem Rest der Welt. Immer erstklassige Teilnehmerfelder, eine meist sehr schöne Location mit einwandfreien Material und einen mehr als professionellen Livestream von Kozoom. Zudem werden alle Veranstaltungen nach einem strickten Zeitplan durchgeführt, hier wissen die Spieler und Zuschauer wann die Partien exakt ausgetragen werden. 27/11/2016 Another one for Jasmin Jasmin Ouschan just won the Treviso Women Open in BHR Best Western Hotel in Treviso, Italy, with a 7:3 victory over Kamila Khodjaeva (BEL). The final match started with an expected lead for Ouschan. Khodjaeva seemed to be nervous since she missed several possible shots. However, during the course of the match Khodjaeva stayed within close range to Ouschan and the Austrian suddenly started making unnecessary mistakes. When leading 3:2, Ouschan missed an easy 7-ball and allowed Khodjaeva to tie the match at 3:3. After having taken her time-out, Ouschan still seemed to be a bit off track. She missed shots and ran out of position. That all allowed Khodjaeva to keep the match open for a while. However, Ouschan turned out to be the stronger player today since Khodjaeva could not benefit from Ouschan’s mistakes as the match continued. David Alcaide (SPA) gewinnt Treviso Open 2016 im Finale gegen Joshua Filler (GER) mit 9-6. Den 3. Platz belegen Niels Feijen (NED) und Mieszko Fortunski (POL). Bei den Damen gewinnt Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) im Finale gegen Kamila Khodjaeva (BEL) mit 7-3. Den 3. Platz belegen Katarzyna Wesolowska (POL) und Veronika Ivanovskaia (GER). Der letzte Euro-Tour Stop des Jahres findet ab dem kommenden Donnerstag in Treviso/Italien statt. Die Herren spielen vom 24. – 26. November und die Damenveranstaltung geht einen Tag länger bis zum 27. November 2016. 14 Tage vor dem wohl wichtigsten und spannendsten Pool Billard Ereignis überhaupt, dem Mosconi Cup, messen sich in Treviso noch einmal die besten Spieler und Spielerinnen Europas. Bei den Herren sind derzeit knapp 170 Teilnehmer gemeldet und Titelverteidiger ist Mark Gray aus England, er gewann im Vorjahr an gleicher Stelle das Finale gegen Alexander Kazakis (GRE) mit 9-3 –> Treviso Open 2015. 17/11/2016 World Junior 9-Ball Championships ready to go The WPA World Junior 9-Ball Championships in Shanghai, China, are ready to kick off. Team Europe is in good shape already. After the press conference in Huimin Middle School, an International Fun Cup was played with 5 players per continent. There were 4 different exercises and drills to play and team Europe has taken the first victory there already. A good writing on the wall for the upcoming Championships. After the Challenge, the draw was done for the event which consists of 32 players in each category (girls, U17 and U19). A total of 24 nations are in the starting gates.
