Vom 30. März – 09. April 2014 findet in Kyrenia/North Zyprus die Pool Billard Europameisterschaft der Damen, Herren und Rollstuhlfahrer statt. Die Dynamic Billard European Championships Men, Women & Wheelchair 2014 wird auch in diesem Jahr erneut viele hochklassige und spannende Matches hervorbringen. Die letzte Europameisterschaft wurde aus deutscher Sicht erheblich getrübt, zum ersten Mal seit sehr langer Zeit blieb das deutsche Team ohne Medaille. Alle Sieger des Vorjahres findet man im Artikel von 2013 —> Dynamic Billard European Championships Men, Women & Wheelchair 2013. Den Medaillenspiegel 2013 gewann Polen vor den Niederlanden. Nur ganz wenige, der besten Pool Billard Spieler Europas, werden in Kyrenia nicht am Start sein. 21st September, 888.com World Cup of Pool 2013 Final four set for Sunday show down Quarter Finals Philippines 9-1 Hungary Chinese Taipei 9-3 England A TEAM PHILIPPINES made up of Dennis Orcollo and Lee Vann Corteza ended the 888.com World Cup of Pool journey of Hungary as they hammered them 9-1 to advance to Sunday’s semi-finals where they will face Chinese Taipei who beat England. With victories over Croatia, Singapore and now Hungary, there were probably tougher routes to the final day of the event but Orcollo and Corteza barely put a foot wrong as they broke well, potted well and on the rare occasions that their opponents got to the table, it was to extricate themselves from a snooker. 20th September, 888.com World Cup of Pool 2013 Big guns make their move Round 2 Hungary 7-4 Russia Philippines 7-3 Singapore Chinese Taipei 7-1 Greece UNFANCIED QUALIFIERS Hungary continued where they left off against China on Wednesday as they once again made light work of more exalted opposition as they put paid to Russian hopes at the 888.com World Cup of Pool by a 7-4 score line. There were also wins at the York Hall for Chinese Taipei and Philippines as the big guns made their move into the quarter-finals. Balazs Mikos and Gabor Solymosi looked to be enjoying every minute of it and played in the sort of relaxed manner that can count for a lot in a high pressure event like the World Cup. The Hungarians got off to a fast start as they made the most of some Russian errors and although Stepanov and Chinakhov mounted a comeback it was not enough. 18th September, 888.com World Cup of Pool 2013 Smooth Hungary leave China reeling Japan 7-4 Sweden Hungary 7-2 China Russia 7-5 Hong Kong The 2013 888.com World Cup of Pool received its first major shock today at the York Hall in East London as European qualifiers Hungary dumped two-time World Cup champions China out of the competition with a clinical 7-2 win. The Hungarian duo of Gabor Solymosi and Mikos Balazs had scrapped their way through a European qualifying event in Croatia last month, but their respective careers to date have been fairly low key. On the other hand, the Chinese pair of Li Hewen and Liu Haitao, have excellent track records with Li in particular, a twice winner of this event and also a bronze and silver medallist at the World Pool Championship in 2006 and 2012 respectively. „Team Philippines gewinnt 2013 World Cup of Pool gegen Team Holland mit 10-8. In einem sehr spannenden Finale sind Lee Vann Corteza und Dennis Orcollo ein wenig stabiler und gewinnen gegen Nick van den Berg und Niels Feijen hochverdient. Den 3. Platz belegen die Teams aus Taiwan (Ko Pin-Yi & Chang Jung-Lin) und Finland (Mika Immonen & Petri Makkonen)!“ Vom 17. – 22. September 2013 findet in der Londoner York Hall das wohl aufregendste Pool Billard Event des Jahres statt, der World Cup of Pool. Nach 6 Jahren kehrt die Matchroom Sport Veranstaltung zurück in die legendäre York Hall. An die Stätte, in der im letzten Dezember die Europäer beim Mosconi Cup erfolgreich waren. Neben dem Mosconi Cup ist der World Cup of Pool das wohl außergewöhnlichste und am besten organisierte Turnier des Jahres, nirgends ist das Publikum so nah an den Spielern und die Stimmung sucht ihresgleichen.
