31/03/2017 Gray takes the cake four times in a row Mark Gray (GBR) has already taken four victims down in the Dynamic Billard Portuguese Open in Salgados Palace Hotel in Albufeira, Portugal. Today in the round of the last 32 men single elimination, Gray wiped the floor with Daniel Tangudd (SWE) and handed him a doughnut, winning the match 9:0. Before that match, Gray’s route to the single elimination stage of the event led over Athanasios Vrakas (GRE) 9:3, Sergey Lutsker (RUS) 9:3 and Marcus Chamat (SWE) 9:1 even. Altogether, Gray allowed his opponents to win seven (7!) racks against him in four matches! What an impressive performance from the Brit so far. Otter remarkable results from today’s rounds include Ronald Regli (SUI) conquering Mieszko Fortunski (POL) 9:8 in winner’s round 2. Regli then went on and also defeated Roman Hybler (CZE) 9:8 before he fell to the sharp blade of young Wiktor Zielinski (POL) 4:9 in the single elimination round which puts in in 17th place. Nick van den Berg (NED) gewinnt Portugal Open 2017 im Finale gegen David Alcaide (SPA) mit 8-5. Den 3. Platz belegen Mark Gray (GBR) und Ralf Souquet (GER). Die Portugal Women Open 2017 gewinnt Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) im Finale gegen Kristina Tkach (RUS) mit 7-3. Den 3. Platz belegen Ina Kaplan (GER) und Katarzyna Wesolowska (POL). Direkt im Anschluss an die derzeit laufende Pool Billard Europameisterschaft findet an gleicher Stelle, in Albufeira/Portugal, der nächste Euro-Tour Stopp statt. Vom 30. März bis zum 01. April 2017 wird es für sehr viele EM Teilnehmer direkt weitergehen. Im Moment sind mehr als 180 Teilnehmer für die Portugal Open 2017 angemeldet und dies verspricht, wie bereits von der Euro-Tour gewohnt, spannende und hochklassige Partien. Die letzte Euro-Tour Veranstaltung vor einigen Wochen konnte der deutsche Ausnahmespieler Ralf Souquet für sich entscheiden, er bezwang im Finale der Italy Open 2017 Ruslan Chinakhov aus Russland mit 9-5. 24/02/2017 Aarts pipped Feijen to the post In the winner’s qualification round of the Dynamic Billard Italian Open, Ivo Aarts (NED) defeated his fellow countryman „The Terminator“ Niels Feijen (NED) in a heartbreaker by a whisker with 9:8. Both players already had two victories under their belt today when they met on table 10 in the BHR Best Western Hotel in Treviso, Italy. Feijen, currently ranked nr.3 in the Euro-Tour after Gray and Alcaide, made short work with Sergio Lagunas Moreno (ESP) and Mustafa Alnar (TNC). He handed a doughnut to Moreno and only allowed three racks in the account of Alnar. His place in the winner’s qualification round was never in danger at all. Aarts however needed to struggle hard for his spot in that match. He took down Sebastian Staab (GER) 9:4 and then just made it with 9:8 in a fiercely fought over match against Sergey Lutsker (RUS). Übermorgen beginnt in Treviso die Euro-Tour Saison 2017, endlich muss man sagen. Die Euro-Tour gehört seit vielen Jahren zu der Konstanten in der Pool Billard Szene und wenn man ehrlich ist gibt es nichts Vergleichbares in Europa und dem Rest der Welt. Immer erstklassige Teilnehmerfelder, eine meist sehr schöne Location mit einwandfreien Material und einen mehr als professionellen Livestream von Kozoom. Zudem werden alle Veranstaltungen nach einem strickten Zeitplan durchgeführt, hier wissen die Spieler und Zuschauer wann die Partien exakt ausgetragen werden. David Alcaide (SPA) gewinnt Treviso Open 2016 im Finale gegen Joshua Filler (GER) mit 9-6. Den 3. Platz belegen Niels Feijen (NED) und Mieszko Fortunski (POL). Bei den Damen gewinnt Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) im Finale gegen Kamila Khodjaeva (BEL) mit 7-3. Den 3. Platz belegen Katarzyna Wesolowska (POL) und Veronika Ivanovskaia (GER). Der letzte Euro-Tour Stop des Jahres findet ab dem kommenden Donnerstag in Treviso/Italien statt. Die Herren spielen vom 24. – 26. November und die Damenveranstaltung geht einen Tag länger bis zum 27. November 2016. 14 Tage vor dem wohl wichtigsten und spannendsten Pool Billard Ereignis überhaupt, dem Mosconi Cup, messen sich in Treviso noch einmal die besten Spieler und Spielerinnen Europas. 28th October – 2016 Mosconi Cup All to play for in Kuwait WITH TEAM USA’s final selection being a straight shoot-out with three players contesting two spots, the European picture is far more complicated with the ‘World’ and ‘Combined’ list reaching their conclusion at next week’s Kuwait 9 Ball Championship. With Holland’s Niels Feijen already in the team after he topped the ‘Euro’ list earlier in the month, there are several players in contention for the final two coveted Mosconi Cup spots. Mosconi Cup XXIII takes place at London’s Alexandra Palace from Tuesday to Friday 6th- 9th December and features two five-man teams representing America and Europe. 3rd October – 2016 Mosconi Cup Feijen claims first berth on Team Europe HOLLAND’S NIELS FEIJEN is the first man to gain a spot on Team Europe as they look ahead to defending the Mosconi Cup at London’s Alexandra Palace from Tuesday to Friday 6th- 9th December. Feijen, 39, will be making his 12th appearance in the storied event which will put him third on the European all-time list and move him to fifth on the overall roster of total appearances. The Dutchman sealed the deal on home territory as he won the Euro Tour Dutch Open at Leende at the weekend.
