Dynamic Billard European Youth Championships ended The Dynamic European Championships – Youth, Seniors & Ladies Portoroz, Slovenia – 1-16 aug 2014 08/08/2014 The 2014 Dynamic Billard European Championships Youth have come to an end. Today, two more disciplines were decided. Earlier today, the 9-ball individuals were finished. Kamila Khodjaeva (BEL), Sanjin Pehlivanovic (BIH) and Raphael Wahl (GER) took the crown in the 9-ball. It was the second Gold Medal for Khodjaeva and Wahl this week. Khodjaeva defeated Marharyta Fefilava (BLR) in the final match with 6:3. The Silver Medal is a great achievement for the young lady from Belarus. However, Khodjaeva was too strong for her today. Kaci through to quarter-finals in 9-ball The Dynamic European Championships – Youth, Seniors & Ladies Portoroz, Slovenia – 1-16 aug 2014 07/08/2014 Eklent Kaci (ALB) booked his seat in the quarter-final round of the 9-ball competition of the U17 players. In the round of the last 16 players, Kaci defeated Fedor Gorst (RUS) with 7:4. He will now face Johannes Schmitt (GER) in the quarter-final match. Kaci is probably one of the bigger surprises at this Dynamic Billard European Championships for Youth. He plays rock solid and convinces with his performance. He already won the Bronze Medal in 8-ball and the Silver Medal in 10-ball earlier this week. Coming here to Portoroz completely unheralded, it will be interesting to follow where the road of this young player will lead him to. The defending Champion Jan van Lierop (NED) could not live up to his performance from last year and lost two matches in order to be eliminated from the event. Filler, Dudanets and Khodjaeva win the 10-ball competition The Dynamic European Championships – Youth, Seniors & Ladies Portoroz, Slovenia – 1-16 aug 2014 04/08/2014 Three more Gold Medals have been awarded at the Dynamic Billard European Championships Youth in Hotel Bernadin in Portoroz, Slovenia. In the Under 17’s, Maksim Dudanets (RUS) defeated Eklent Kaci (ALB) in the final with 6:3. Kaci had been a serious outsider. But nevertheless he had earned his place in this final against Dudanets. Victories over Jan van Lierop (NED) with 6:3, Marsel Safiullin (RUS) with 6:4 and young Kestutis Zadeikis (LIT) with 6:1 paved his way into the final match. His opponent however was the clear favorite. Dudanets ousted Patrick Hofmann (GER) 6:0, Konrad Kleinszmit (POL) 6:3 and Wiktor Zielinski (POL) with 6:5 on his way to the championship match. Oliver Ortmann (GER) gewinnt Ardennen Cup 2014 im Finale gegen Andreas Roschkowsky (GER) mit 6-2. Den 3. Platz teilen sich Julian Kortüm (GER) und Roman Hybler (CZE). Der Ardennen Cup 2014 findet wie jedes Jahr über Pfingsten statt. In der Zeit vom 05. – 09. Juni 2014 wird in Ettelbrück/Luxemburg eines der größten europäischen Turniere stattfinden. Wie immer wird den mehr als 300 Teilnehmern eine Menge geboten. Es gibt das große Hauptevent der Herren, eine Damenkonkurrenz, die zeitgleich der nächste Euro-Tour Stop ist, einen Teamwettbewerb und das Jugendturnier. Das Gesamtpreisgeld aller Veranstaltungen beträgt ca. 20.000 Euro. Der Ardennen Cup ist jedes Jahr beliebter Zielort vieler Pool Billard Freunde und diverser Topspieler. In erster Linie geht es bei diesem Event um eine Menge Spaß. Im letzten Jahr gewann bei den Herren Roman Hybler (CZE) im Finale gegen den Lokalmatadoren Marc Holtz mit 6-3. Monica Webb takes the title in the women’s Euro-Tour Monica Webb (USA) just won the Dynamic Billard Austrian Open Women Euro-Tour event in beautiful St. Johann/Pg., Austria, with a convincing 7:3 victory over favored hometown hero Jasmin Ouschan (AUT). It has been Webb’s tournament from the very beginning. She played great throughout the whole event. Results like 7:4 over #2 ranked player Ana Mazhirina (RUS), 7:3 over #5 ranked Ina Kaplan (GER), 7:2 over multiple European and World Champion Oliwia Czuprynska (POL) and 7:3 against another multiple European and World Champion Jasmin Ouschan in the final demonstrated her domination in this event. Although being handicapped with a foot in plaster she performed better than ever in Europe. „I felt great in this event“, stated Webb after the match. „I have practiced a lot during the last months and I think it is paying off now“. Monica Webb (USA) gewinnt Austria Women Open 2014 im Finale gegen Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) mit 7-3. Den 3. Platz teilen sich Line Kjoersvik (NOR) und Veronika Ivanovskaia (GER). Auch die Damen werden am kommenden Wochenende in Sankt Johann/Österreich ihre nächste Euro-Tour spielen. Bei den Austria Women Open 2014 sind bis jetzt knapp 40 Teilnehmerinnen gemeldet. Im letzten Jahr gewann Ana Mazhirina aus Russland das Finale gegen die Lokalmatadorin Jasmin Ouschan mit 7-4. Das Gesamtpreisgeld beträgt 2.800 Euro. Dieses Turnier startet am Samstag, den 24. Mai 2014 und endet am Sonntag mit dem Finale. Die Topfavoritinnen auf den Sieg in Sankt Johann sind Martine Christiansen (NOR), Monica Webb (USA), Oliwia Czuprynska (POL), Ana Gradisnik (SLO), Katarzyna Wesolowska (POL), Ana Mazhirina (RUS), Kamila Khodjaeva (BEL), Line Kjoersvik (NOR), Caroline Roos (SWE) und natürlich Jasmin Ouschan (AUT). 8-Ball titles for Sirotina, Tähti and van den Berg The 8-Ball individuals at the Dynamic Billard European Championships in Kyrenia, North Cyprus, have been decided. The newly crowned Champions are Darya Sirotina (RUS), Jouni Tähti (FIN) and Nick van den Berg (NED). „The toughest match of the day was the quarter-final encounter with Jasmin Ouschan“, stated a happy Sirotina after the final match. She had just defeated Kamila Khodjaeva (BEL) with 6:5. The match was filled with ups and down with Sirotina getting 5:3 advantage over Khodjaeva. But the Belgian knew how to stay in the match and pulled back two racks from Sirotina to tie the match at hill-hill. There, Sirotina proved her nerves and ran out the rack and the match to win her first European Champion title in the women’s division. Jouni Tähti has been there quite some time already. Natasha Serosthan (RUS) gewinnt bei den Mädchen im Finale gegen Yuki Hiraguchi (JAP) mit 6-2. Bei den Junioren gewinnt Ping Chung Ko (TW) gegen Sebastian Batkowski (POL) das Finale mit 8-5. Jouni Tahti (FIN) gewinnt das Finale der Rollstuhlfahrer gegen Fred Dinsmore (IRE). Seit heute bis zum 12. Dezember 2013 läuft in Johannesburg/Südafrika die WPA World 9 Ball Championships 2013 für Junioren, Mädchen und Rollstuhlfahrer. Meiner Meinung nach hat die Vermarktung dieser 9 Ball Weltmeisterschaft bislang nicht stattgefunden und die World Pool Billiard Association macht erneut einen mehr als peinlichen Eindruck. Das Turnier läuft seit heute und bislang sind keinerlei Informationen weitergereicht wurden. Es wirkt so, als ob diese Veranstaltung vonseiten des Weltverbandes eher ein lästiges Übel ist. Nun, genug gemeckert 😉 Viele Informationen gibt es leider nicht, es gehen bei den Junioren die 32 besten Spieler Ihrer Altersklasse in Gold Reef City an den Start. Rubilen Amit (PHI) gewinnt Yalin Women’s World 10 Ball Championship 2013 im Finale gegen Kelly Fisher (GBR) mit 10-7. Den 3. Platz teilen sich Yu Han (CHN) und Tsai Pei Chen (TW)! In der Zeit vom 31. Oktober bis 04. November 2013 findet in Manila/Philippinen die 5. Ausgabe der Yalin Women’s World 10 Ball Championship statt. Bereits seit dem 26. Oktober laufen die Qualifikationsrunden, um sich für das Hauptfeld der besten 48 Damen zu qualifizieren. Das Hauptfeld der letzten 48 Teilnehmerinnen spielt in 8 Gruppen zu 6 Spielerinnen im Round Robin Format (jeder gegen jeden). Die besten 3 jeder Gruppe qualifizieren sich für die Finalrunde der letzten 24 wo es im Einfach KO (Race to 8) weitergeht. Die Gruppenerste ist automatisch im Achtelfinale und die Gruppenzweiten spielen gegen die Gruppendritten um den Einzug unter die letzten 16. Titelverteidigerin ist Ga Young Kim (KOR). Andreuzzi over Ibric like a hurricane

Khodjaeva once again on the loser’s side Sarajevo, Bosnia & Hercegovina: With an 8:0 whitewash, Nino Andreuzzi (GER) finished Azur Ibric’s (BIH) hopes in the 9-ball competition. The game was 9-ball and the round was the single elimination round of the final 32 junior players. 9-ball is a short rack game and is said to be the fastest of all pool-billiard games. However, Andreuzzi took that probably a bit too literally in his match with Ibric. He played fluently and quick, coming to a 5:0 lead after only 23 minutes. The Bosnian definitely was the underdog in this encounter from the very beginning. Andreuzzi had already taken two medals this week – Bronze in straight pool and Gold in 10-ball. But still Ibric was playing on his home turf having the support of the vivacious Bosnian crowd. But that did not seem to impress Andreuzzi at all.
