Andreuzzi over Ibric like a hurricane

Khodjaeva once again on the loser’s side Sarajevo, Bosnia & Hercegovina: With an 8:0 whitewash, Nino Andreuzzi (GER) finished Azur Ibric’s (BIH) hopes in the 9-ball competition. The game was 9-ball and the round was the single elimination round of the final 32 junior players. 9-ball is a short rack game and is said to be the fastest of all pool-billiard games. However, Andreuzzi took that probably a bit too literally in his match with Ibric. He played fluently and quick, coming to a 5:0 lead after only 23 minutes. The Bosnian definitely was the underdog in this encounter from the very beginning. Andreuzzi had already taken two medals this week – Bronze in straight pool and Gold in 10-ball. But still Ibric was playing on his home turf having the support of the vivacious Bosnian crowd. But that did not seem to impress Andreuzzi at all. Surprising results in the finals Sarajevo, Bosnia & Hercegovina: While the favored player won the pupil’s division, the winners in the other division were a bit of a surprise. The pupil’s division was dominated by Joshua Filler (GER). He was never really endangered and made his way to the title with a superior performance. His opponent in the final match, Oliver Szolnoki (HUN) did his best to challenge Filler and make his life as hard as possible but in in the end he had to let Filler take the crown with a 6:4 victory in the final. In the girl’s match, the favored player got beaten. Kamila Khodjaeva (BEL) who has already snatched the crown in 10-ball this week, played a close match with Veronika Ivanovskaia (GER). Both girls did not want to show any weaknesses but the pressure was on for both of them. Some small mistakes were committed on both sides but Ivanovskaia managed to get back on track first. Dutch juniors send team Slovenia home

German also juniors on their way Sarajevo, Bosnia & Hercegovina: Team Netherlands defeated team Slovenia in the junior’s division with 2:1. The last round of today featured team’s matches at the Dynamic Billard EPBF European Championships Youth. While the pupils had a loser’s round going on, the juniors had already entered the single elimination stage. There, team Netherlands had to deal with team Slovenia. In 9-ball, Nathalie Seichter (NED) tried to defend the Dutch colors. But she got simply overpowered by Slovenia’s Denis Kragolnik with 8:3 in 45 minutes. That turned the score 1:0 in favor of team Slovenia. At that time, Guido Janssen (NED) was leading 5:0 in 8-ball over Ana Gradisnik (SLO) and her brother Klemen Gradisnik (SLO) was trailing 25:42 to Tim De Ruyter (NED). Everything looked like the decider would once again be the straight pool match. And that turned out to be true. Janssen easily won his 8-ball over Ana Gradisnik with 7:1. 10-ball competition finished at Youth EC Sarajevo, Bosnia & Hercegovina: The finals of the 10-ball competitions have been decided. In the girl’s division, favored Kamila Khodjaeva (BEL) overcame Germany’s Veronika Ivanovskaia with 5:3. In the pupil’s division, Daniel Guttenberger (AUT) snatched the gold medal, handing a 6:1 defeat to brave Kamil Szaszor (POL). Both players came to the final match very much unexpected. In the junior’s division, Nino Andreuzzi (GER) really had to work to claim his medal against Daniel Tangudd (SWE). He needed 13 racks to bring the second gold medal to Germany with 7:6. That puts Germany in first place of the medal table after two of five events. The Dynamic Billard EPBF European Championships Youth will continue tomorrow morning at 09:00 CET with the 8-ball competition. Vom 26. Juli – 02. August 2013 findet in Sarajevo/Bosnien Herzegowina die Jugend Europameisterschaften 2013 statt. Direkt im Anschluss folgt an gleicher Stelle die Europameisterschaften der Senioren (40+) vom 04. – 11. August 2013. Spielort ist Radon Plaza Hotel in Sarajevo. Im letzten Jahr war Deutschland die stärkste Nation und gewann den Medaillenspiegel ziemlich souverän —> Dynamic Billiards European Youth Championships 2012. Aber auch die anderen Nationen, ganz besonders die Talente aus Polen und Russland werden von Jahr zu Jahr stärker. Bei den Jugend Europameisterschaften wird in den Kategorien Mädchen, Schüler und Junioren gespielt. Das deutsche Team geht in folgender Besetzung an den Start. Mädchen: Sabrina Hammer, Veronika Ivanovskaia. Schüler: Joshua Filler (2x Europameister 10 Ball & 8 Ball Schüler 2012), Patrick Hofmann, Can Salim-Giasar, Raphael Wahl (Europameister 2012 14.1), Florian Zuewert. Junioren: Nino Andreuzzi, Tobias Bongers, Ricardo Gutjahr, Sven Hagen. Ouschan teaches a lesson to Wrobel St. Johann, Austria: In his first match of the Dynamic Billard Austrian Open 2013, Nr. 1 ranked player Albin Ouschan (AUT) outclasses Krzysztof Wrobel (POL) with 9:1. In Formula One, this would have counted as a „start-to-finish“ victory. Ouschan dominated the match from the very beginning. He did not even have to come up with his A-game. After ten racks, the clear result was 9:1 to the Austrian local hero. The key to success for Ouschan’s victory was obviously his break shot and the way he controlled his nerves at the table. While Wrobel seemed to struggle with that, Ouschan played as cold as ice. He succeeded to pocket balls in 80% of his break shots while Wrobel only scored 40% there. One could tell the difference in experience between the two contestants. In his next match on the winner’s side, Ouschan will take on Marek Kudlik, a teammate of Wrobel. Vom 10. – 20. April kämpfen die europäischen Pool Billard Stars in Portoroz/Slowenien um die EM-Medaillen in den Klassen Damen, Herren und Rollstuhlfahrer. Im Grand Hotel Metropol gehen knapp 220 Spieler aus 32 Nationen an den Start. Bereits im letzten Jahr war die Europameisterschaft ein absolutes Highlight. Neben großartigen Matches war es die stimmungsvolle Atmosphäre an den Schlusstagen, die in Erinnerung geblieben ist. Leider fehlen auch dieses Jahr einige der besten Spieler Europas, wie z.B.: Thorsten Hohmann (GER), Mika Immonen (FIN) oder Darren Appleton (GBR). Die gesamte Veranstaltung wird per Livestream von Kozoom zu verfolgen sein, alle 23 Tische werden mit einer Kamera ausgestattet. Mehr Infos dazu gibt es hier —> LIVE Stream Festival on 24 tables. „Konstantin Stepanov (RUS) gewinnt Italy Open 2013 im Finale gegen Dimitri Jungo (SUI) mit 9-7. Den 3. Platz belegen Albin Ouschan (AUT) und Ralf Souquet (GER)!“ Die Eurotour startet in das Jahr 2013. Vom 28.02. – 02. März findet in Treviso/Italien die Italy Open 2013 statt. Im Best Western Premium BHR Hotel werden mehr als 180 Spieler aus ganz Europa an den Start gehen. Das Preisgeld in Treviso beträgt 34.000 Euro und man darf gespannt sein, wer bei dieser 9 Ball Veranstaltung letztendlich als Sieger hervorgeht. Zu den Favoriten gehören in Treviso u.a. Ralf Souquet (GER), der deutsche Ausnahmespieler zeigte am letzten Wochenende in Telford, das wieder mit ihm zu rechnen sein wird.
