Ko Pin-Yi (TW) gewinnt 2015 WPA World 9 Ball Championship im Finale gegen Shane Van Boening (USA) mit 13-11. Den 3. Platz belegen Ko Ping-Chung (TW) und Wu Jiaqing (CHN). Ab dem 07. September 2015 wird in Doha/Katar die diesjährige 9 Ball Weltmeisterschaft ausgetragen. Die 2015 WPA World 9 Ball Championship läuft bis zum 18. September 2015 und es werden so ziemlich alle Stars der Pool Billard Welt in Doha anzutreffen sein. Die 9 Ball WM gehört jedes zu den Events mit der größten Strahlkraft und dem größten Prestige. Und kaum ein anderes Turnier ist wohl so schwer zu gewinnen wie die Titelkämpfe im Al Arabi Sports Club. Extreme Temperaturen draußen, Klimaanlagen die den Spielort ziemlich runterkühlen und die besten Spieler der Welt. Albin Ouschan overpowered the Canadian top player John Morra (CAN) with 11:8 and obtained the crown of the 2015 China Open. John Morra did not have smooth sailing in the tournament. To the contrary, he lost his first match with Vietnamese Do Thekien 5:7. And had to make his way through the loser’s side. He came up with an impressing performance, overcame Marc Bijsterbosch (NED) 11:8, Warren Kiamco (PHI) 11:9, Fu Jianbo (CHN) 11:10 and Nick van den Berg of Netherlands with 11:8, booked a seat in the final match with Albin Ouschan. Ouschan’s first match played against Jalal Yousef from Chile. Ouschan ended up well, and defeated Yousef with 9:6. In the next match, Ouschan played Che-Wei Fu from Taiwan, both players played solid, however, Fu played a bit better, Ouschan lost 8:9 in the end. Albin Ouschan (AUT) gewinnt World 9 Ball China Open 2015 im Finale gegen John Morra (CAN) mit 11-8. Den 3. Platz belegen Nick van den Berg (NED) und Chu Bingjie (CHN). Bei den Damen gewinnt Ga Young Kim (KOR) im Finale gegen Fu Xiaofang (CHN) mit 9-6. Den 3. Platz belegen Chen Siming (CHN) und Yu Han (CHN). Am Sonntag, den 28. Juni 2015 startet in Shanghai/China eines der größten und prestigeträchtigsten Pool Billard Turniere auf der ganzen Welt. Die World 9 Ball China Open 2015 sind nach der 9 Ball Weltmeisterschaft das wohl spannendste und härteste Turnier, welches ein Pool Billard Spieler bestreiten kann. Bis zum Finaltag am 05. The Philippines Dennis Orcollo wins his second straight 9-8 match in as many days to advance to the knockout stage of the 2015 World 10-ball Championship in General Santos City. For the second straight day Orcollo pulled a great escape from what looked like sure defeat, winning 9-8 yet again, and advancing to the single elimination round of 64 at the 2015 World 10-ball Championship. Ko Pin-Yi (TPE) gewinnt 2015 WPA World 10 Ball Championship im Finale gegen Carlo Biado (PHI) mit 11-9. Den 3. Platz belegen David Alcaide (SPA) und Ko Ping-Chung (TPE). Bereits seit dem 15. Februar 2015 findet in General Santos City auf den Philippinen die 2015 WPA World 10 Ball Championship statt. Diese Pool Billard Weltmeisterschaft bekommt leider in diesem Jahr nicht die Aufmerksamkeit, die sie eigentlich verdient. Wir haben mittlerweile mehr als 150 Emails mit Fragen zu dieser WM bekommen und leider ist die Antwort bislang immer die gleiche gewesen: „Wir haben leider so gut wie keine Informationen seitens der WPA oder des Veranstalters bekommen!“ Das ist wirklich mehr als traurig und wird einer solchen Veranstaltung nicht gerecht. Es gab keine Teilnehmerlisten, es gibt keine offizielle Website, kein Plakat oder irgendwelche Randnotizen. Nun, das zeigt erneut, wie es um die „Top-Events“ in dieser Welt oft bestellt ist. Derby City Classic 2015

Wenn man in diesen Tagen die Pool Billard Fans nach einer Veranstaltung mit dem höchsten Unterhaltungswert fragt, werden die meisten das Derby City Classic nennen. Diese Pool Billard Veranstaltung findet zum 17. mal statt und wird auch dieses Jahr wieder für spektakuläre Pool Billard Unterhaltung sorgen. In der Zeit vom 23. – 31. Januar 2015 wird das Derby City Classic wie bereits in den Jahren zuvor im Horseshoe Casino in Elizabeth, Indiana/USA ausgetragen. In diesen 9 Tagen geht es beim DCC nur um eines, nämlich um Pool Billard Action auf höchstem Niveau. Es gibt zig Events, einige davon sind One Pocket, 9 Ball Bank, 9 Ball und die Straight Pool Challenge die im letzten Jahr von Ralf Souquet mit einer 178er Serie gewonnen wurde. Für all diese Turniere bzw. Disziplinen gibt es Punkte, der Spieler mit den besten Platzierungen wird am Ende zum All Around Champion – „Master of Table“ gekürt. 2014 Betway World Cup of Pool – England B through as US and Philippines make quarters 25 September Round 1 England B 7 – 6 India Round 2 Philippines 7 – 5 France USA 7 – 5 Russia ENGLAND B completed the list of round one victors at the 2014 Betway World Cup of Pool as they squeezed past India at the Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth on Thursday evening. There were also second round wins for the Philippines and USA who both take their place in Saturday’s quarter-final draw. In probably the most entertaining match of the tournament so far, the England B side of Chris Melling and Daryl Peach put paid to Indian hopes by the odd rack in 13 to give themselves a second round match-up against China. The Indian duo of Raj Hundal and Amar Kang were making their fourth appearance in the event as a pair and both sides looked in good shape. Philippines hold off battling Chile 23 September – 2014 Betway World Cup of Pool Russia 7 – 6 Japan Finland 7 – 0 Korea Philippines 7 – 5 Chile DEFENDING CHAMPIONS the Philippines got their 2014 Betway World Cup of Pool campaign underway successfully as they edged past a gutsy Chile side that had started out as huge underdogs but almost managed to silence a big Filipino contingent at the Mountbatten Centre in Portsmouth. 7-5 was the final score but there was plenty of heart shown by the South American side consisting of Alejandro Carvajal and Enrique Rojas. The pair had endured a tortuous journey that had taken them from Santiago to Sao Paolo, across to Paris and then onto London and then Portsmouth. Team England A (Darren Appleton/Karl Boyes) gewinnt Betway World Cup of Pool 2014 im Finale gegen Team Holland (Niels Feijen/Nick van den Berg) mit 10-9. Bereits im letzten Jahr mussten sich Niels Feijen und Nick van den Berg im Finale geschlagen geben. Den 3. Platz belegen die Teams aus Finnland (Mika Immonen/Petri Makkonen) und Team Österreich (Albin Ouschan/Mario He). 2014 World Cup of Pool Schedule 12 August – 2014 World Cup of Pool Match Schedule Announced WITH THE 2014 World Cup of Pool set for the Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth from 23rd to 28th September, promoters Matchroom Sport can announce the schedule of matches for this prestigious $250,000 event. There are 16 first round matches in total with two sessions a day and three matches per session. Sessions are at 12 noon and 6.00pm until the weekend when the afternoon session takes place at 1.00pm, while the evenings continue at 6.00pm.
