Shane Van Boening (USA) gewinnt im Finale des 2015 PartyPoker World Pool Masters gegen Darren Appleton (GBR) mit 8-2 und verteidigt seinen Titel vom Vorjahr ziemlich souverän. Den 3. Platz belegen Liu Haitao (CHN) und Mark Gray (GBR). Am nächsten Wochenende wird die gesamte Pool Billard Welt ihren Blick nach Manchester/GBR richten. Vom 14. – 16. August 2015 wird im Victoria Warehouse eines der spektakulärsten Pool Billard Einladungsevents der Welt stattfinden. Das 2015 PartyPoker World Pool Masters wird jedes Jahr von Matchroom Sport ausgerichtet und gehört zusammen mit dem World Cup of Pool und dem Mosconi Cup zu den wohl besten Pool Billard Events überhaupt. 23rd June – 2015 PartyPoker World Pool Masters Draw and Schedule Announced WITH THE 2015 PartyPoker World Pool Masters set for the iconic Victoria Warehouse from 14th to 16th August, the draw has been made and schedule set for what promises to be an unforgettable weekend of world-class pool. Featuring 16 players from 14 nations, the field is headed up by defending champion and No.1 seed Shane Van Boening (USA) who gets his defence underway against the dangerous Canadian John Morra. The second match on the Friday evening features 2013 champion Niels Feijen against the No.1 player on the South American rankings following their continental championships next month. The final Friday night match sees Mosconi Cup hero Karl Boyes face China’s World No. 6 Liu Haitao. 19th May – 2015 PartyPoker World Pool Masters Superstar field announced for Manchester WITH THE 2015 PARTYPOKER WORLD POOL MASTERS set to take place at the iconic Victoria Warehouse, Manchester from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th August, Matchroom Sport can announce the field for the 23rd annual pocket billiards showdown. Sporting a $20,000 top prize, the Masters aims to bring together some of the biggest names from around the world to contest what is the game’s most sought-after title. It’s nearly an all Asian-field, with three Filipinos, three Taiwanese, one Chinese and a Spaniard in the mix. It’s a heady cocktail of long time veterans and some of the great young players of the day. Shane Van Boening gewinnt als erster Spieler in der Geschichte der US Open 9 Ball diesen begehrten Titel dreimal hintereinander. Vom 13. – 18. Oktober 2014 findet die 39. Ausgabe der US Open 9 Ball Championships statt. Die US Open 9 Ball gelten in der Pool Billard Szene als das wohl prestigeträchtigste Turnier überhaupt. Neben den Weltmeisterschaften sind die US Open 9 Ball das wohl schwierigste Turnier der Welt. Sehr viele internationale Top-Spieler, immer etwas hektische Bedingungen und von der ersten Runde wird auf 11 Gewinnspiele gespielt, das Finale geht bis 13. Team China 2 (Liu Haitao, Dang Jinhu, Wang Can, Fu Xiaofang, Liu Shasha) gewinnt 2014 World Pool Team Championship im Finale gegen Team Philippines (Dennis Orcollo, Lee Vann Corteza, Carlo Biado, Rubilen Amit) mit 4-2. Den 3. Platz belegen China 1 und Japan. Deutschland (Ralf Souquet, Thorsten Hohmann, Ina Kaplan, Sebastian Staab) landet auf einem sehr guten 5. Platz. Vom 28. Juli – 02. August 2014 findet in Beijing/China die 2014 World Pool Team Championship statt. Diese Team Weltmeisterschaft ist nicht zu verwechseln mit dem jährlich stattfindenden World Cup of Pool vom Veranstalter Matchroom Sport. In Beijing treffen insgesamt 25 Teams aus 24 Nationen aufeinander. China stellt als Gastgeber zwei Mannschaften. Auch dieses Jahr ist die Informationsbeschaffung äußerst schwierig und zäh. Es gibt so gut wie keine brauchbaren Informationen in für uns verständlicher Sprache. Das meiste wird leider nur in Mandarin (Chinesisch) angeboten. Going two losses and out in the World 9-ball Championship is about as bad as it gets for a professional pool player. Platz belegen Elmer D. Haya (PHI) und China Open 2014 Champion Chang Yu-Lung (TPE). Ab dem 16. Juni 2014 findet in Doha/Katar die 2014 WPA World 9 Ball Championship statt. Die 9 Ball Weltmeisterschaft der Herren gilt zusammen mit den China Open als eines der interessantesten und spannendsten Pool Billard Events im ganzen Jahr. Bis zum 27. Juni werden im Al Saad Sports Club in Doha die besten Pool Spieler aus der ganzen Welt um den wohl begehrtesten Titel der Szene kämpfen. Sieht man mal von der großen Zahl der einheimischen Spieler ab, die vom Veranstalter eine Wildcard bekommen haben, ist diese 9 Ball Weltmeisterschaft mit den besten Spielern der Welt besetzt.
