2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup – Ouschan tops World and Combined

7th July – 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup Ouschan in the driving seat ALBIN OUSCHAN, the young Austrian who so narrowly lost out in a three-man play-off for the final PartyPoker Mosconi Cup spot in 2012, is well set to make his debut this December in Las Vegas following a magnificent win at the recent China Open. The 24 year-old from Klagenfurt who has often lived in the shadow of his illustrious sister, now stands top of both the European ‘World’ Ranking as well as the ‘Combined’ Ranking. Taking place from Monday December 7 to Thursday December 10, the Europe v USA showdown is hosted by The Tropicana in Las Vegas and will be the 22nd annual running of pool’s biggest event. 23rd June – 2015 PartyPoker World Pool Masters Draw and Schedule Announced WITH THE 2015 PartyPoker World Pool Masters set for the iconic Victoria Warehouse from 14th to 16th August, the draw has been made and schedule set for what promises to be an unforgettable weekend of world-class pool. Featuring 16 players from 14 nations, the field is headed up by defending champion and No.1 seed Shane Van Boening (USA) who gets his defence underway against the dangerous Canadian John Morra. The second match on the Friday evening features 2013 champion Niels Feijen against the No.1 player on the South American rankings following their continental championships next month. The final Friday night match sees Mosconi Cup hero Karl Boyes face China’s World No. 6 Liu Haitao. 8th June – 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup Makkonen makes a move FINLAND’S PETRI MAKKONEN landed his maiden Euro Tour title in Germany at the weekend and as he crashed the European Mosconi Cup rankings and put himself in the frame for a December trip to Las Vegas. The 27 year-old Finn came through a stellar field at Baunatal and defeated Konrad Juszczyszyn of Poland in the championship match to claim the 20 ranking points. The win put Makkonen into second place on the Euro Tour ranking list, three points behind Niels Feijen. He also moved into third position on the Combined ranking list, a single point behind joint leaders Marcus Chamat and David Alcaide. There are three separate ranking lists in operation – the first comprised of a five event Euro Tour series; the second a four event ‘World’ series and the last a combined ranking of the two. 19th May – 2015 PartyPoker World Pool Masters Superstar field announced for Manchester WITH THE 2015 PARTYPOKER WORLD POOL MASTERS set to take place at the iconic Victoria Warehouse, Manchester from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th August, Matchroom Sport can announce the field for the 23rd annual pocket billiards showdown. 27th April – 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup Chamat enters fray as race hots up MARCUS CHAMAT, who was recently named as captain of the 2015 European PartyPoker Mosconi Cup team is on course to land one of the three automatic spots following a runners-up spot in the recent Portuguese Open on the Euro Tour. The 39 year-old Swede was beaten by Poland’s Mateusz Sniegocki in the championship match, but the 16 pts earned coupled with his existing points tally, move him to a tie for first in the Combined Ranking along with David Alcaide (Spain) and Holland’s Niels Feijen. Auch die besten Pool Billard Spieler Europas gehen direkt nach der Europameisterschaft in Vale do Lobo/Portugal auf die Jagd nach wichtigen Punkten für das Euro-Tour Ranking und das Gesamtpreisgeld von 34.000 Euro. Die Portuguese Open 2015 versprechen ziemlich interessant zu werden, weil viele der Teilnehmer nach zehn Tagen EM Stress nicht mehr ganz frisch sein werden. Können sich die Medaillengewinner noch mal motivieren oder werden die frisch angereisten Teilnehmer den längeren Atem haben? Wir glauben, dass die Engländer wie z.B. Mario He (AUT) gewinnt 26. b&a Classics Rockstar Cup 2014 im Finale gegen Klaus Hebestreit (GER) mit 9-8. Den 3. Platz belegen Andreas Roschkowsky (GER) und Christian Reimering (GER). Nach den Weihnachtsfeiertagen vom 28. – 30. Dezember 2014 findet in Neckarsulm eines der größten und beliebtesten Turniere in ganz Deutschland statt. Die 26. Ausgabe des b&a Classics Rockstar Cup verspricht auch dieses Jahr wieder ein Highlight im deutschen Pool Billard Turnierkalender zu werden. In den letzten Jahren waren die Teilnehmer von dieser Veranstaltung mehr als nur begeistert. Dieses Turnier ist mit 21.000 Euro dotiert und viele internationale Topspieler aus allen Teilen Europas werden im sehr bekannten Billard Café Carambolage um den Titel spielen. Nick van den Berg (NED) gewinnt Treviso Open 2014 im Finale gegen Niels Feijen (NED) mit 9-3. Den 3. Platz belegen Francisco Sanchez-Ruiz (ESP) und Kevin Becker (GER). Der letzte Euro-Tour Stop des Jahres findet in dieser Woche vom 11. – 13. Dezember 2014 statt. Das BHR Hotel in Treviso war in den letzten 12 Monaten öfters Austragungsort einer Euro-Tour. Die letzte Auflage der Treviso Open im Jahre 2013 gewann Nick van den Berg (NED) im Finale gegen Phil Burford (GBR) mit 8-5. Auch bei den Treviso Open 2014 zählt der im Euro-Tour Ranking führende Nick van den Berg zu den ganz heißen Favoriten auf den Sieg in der nähe von Venedig. Bei den Treviso Open 2014 sind bislang mehr als 140 Teilnehmer aus ganz Europa gemeldet. Oktober 2014 finden in Leende bei Eindhoven die Dutch Open 2014 statt. Einen Tag früher als gewohnt beginnt dieser Euro-Tour Stop bereits an einem Mittwoch. Es stehen im Hotel Golden Tulip Jagershorst lediglich elf Pool Billard Tische zur Verfügung, das zwingt die EPBF (European Pocket Billiard Federation) dazu einen Tag früher mit den ersten Runden zu beginnen. Dieser Euro-Tour Stop hat bereits jetzt mehr als 150 Teilnehmer und den größten Anteil mit knapp 30 Spielern stellen natürlich die Niederländer um 9 Ball Weltmeister Niels Feijen und dem führenden im Euro-Tour Ranking Nick van den Berg.
