2016 Mosconi Cup – Team Europe Ranking after 2016 UK Open

21th April – 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup FOLLOWING THE Super Billiards Expo 10 Ball Championship which concluded at the weekend, Shane Van Boening maintained his lead at the top of the 2015 PartyPoker USA Mosconi Cup ranking. Van Boening was the highest placed American, finishing in fourth spot and has now opened up a 23 point lead over his nearest rival, Justin Bergman who kept his second spot with a 17th place finish. Scott Frost, who has yet to compete in a Mosconi Cup, edged his way into the shake-up as he leap-frogged both Jeremy Sossei and Skyler Woodward to claim a tie for second. The event was won by Dennis Orcollo who beat Scotland$B!G(Js Jayson Shaw in a close run final. Shaw$B!G(Js high finish is another result which boosts his chances of a Team Europe wild card when both teams are finalised in October. Darren Appleton (GBR) gewinnt American 14.1 Straight Pool Championship 2014 im Finale gegen Karen Corr (IRE) mit 150-28. Den 3. Platz belegen Kevin Clark (USA) und Jason Klatt (CAN). Während in Europa vom 12. – 14. September 2014 die 2014 PREDATOR French Open und die Pinneberg Open 2014 ausgetragen werden, finden im Diamond Billiards in Midlothian/Virginia – USA die American 14.1 Straight Pool Championship 2014 statt. Dieses 14.1 Turnier ist quasi der Nachfolger der Maryland Straight Pool Championship, die im Vorjahr von Thorsten Hohmann aus Deutschland gewonnen wurde. Austragungsort ist das Diamond Billiards in Midlothian und das Preisgeld beträgt 25.000$. Davon gehen 5.000$ an den Sieger der American 14.1 Straight Pool Championship 2014. Gespielt wird in den Vorrunden am Freitag und Samstag ein Round Robin System auf 100 Punkte. Am Sonntag wird dann im Achtelfinale auf 125 Punkte gespielt und ab dem Viertelfinale auf 150 Punkte.
