Asia came out strong winning the first 3 matches of the day before Team West stopped the bleeding with a win in the triples. Amit and China’s World #1 Siming Chen have been instrumental in Asia’s success, while USA’s Villarreal and Ireland’s Corr have had the best performances by far for the West. 17/04/2015 The newly crowned Dynamic Billard European Champions in 10-ball are Alexander Kazakis (GRE), Kamila Khodjaeva (BEL) and Jouni Tahti (FIN). Men’s division The story of the final match is quickly told. It was a close combat between Francisco Diaz (ESP) and Kazakis. They were taking racks in turn. At 6:5 to Kazakis, Diaz played a bad safety shot and left a possible shot for Kazakis. The Greek went for it, made it and went on the hill 7:5. There again, a safety battle occurred. Diaz played an unforced error on the 3-ball and gave ball in hand to Kazakis. That was enough for Kazakis to win his first title with 8:5 at European Championship level. In the earlier rounds today, defending Champion David Alcaide (ESP) had hard work to do. In the round of the last 64 players, he just sneaked past Germany’s Sebastian Ludwig with an 8:7 victory. Taipei – The championship game of 2015 Amway eSpring International Women 9-Ball Championship in Taipei Gymnasiums was between Yuan-Chun LIN from Taiwan and Rubilen Amit from Philippines. The final was tense and close, went up from 3:3, 5:5 and 9:9 until Lin broke the tie to take the lead and game point 10:9. In 20 racks, Lin broke and missed one ball, but was able to come back to the table and won the game after Amit’s fatal error on the 3-ball. Lin’s second Amway Cup trophy with the final score 11:9 brought her a prize of $34,000. Although being struggling throughout recent years, Yuan-Chun Lin had her first challenge in the tournament, to play Kelly Fisher in the quarterfinal. Lin’s 5:1 early lead turned 7:6 after multiple misses and illegal breaks, but she gathered up and advanced 9:6. The young talent from China Liu Yuchen was Yuan-Chun Lin’s semifinal opponent. CueSports International, Henderson, Nevada (April 8, 2015) – CSI encourages you to host a qualifier for the upcoming 2015 US Open 10-Ball and 8-Ball Championships to be held in Las Vegas, NV July 24-31, 2015! Both events will be held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino during the BCAPL National Championships and be played on 7ft Diamond tables with Cyclop balls. Bereits jetzt laufen die Vorbereitungen für die 2. Actiondays in Fürstenfeldbruck auf Hochtouren. Diese Veranstaltung war schon 2014 ein voller Erfolg und wurde von Spielern und Fans sehr begeistert aufgenommen. In diesem Jahr finden die 2. Playhouse Actiondays vom 01. – 03. Mai 2015 statt und es werden einige der besten Pool Billard Spieler Europas erwartet. Neben dem 10 Ball Hauptevent und den sogenannten Action Nights gibt es dieses Jahr einen Nation Cup. Alle zwei Tage veröffentlicht der Veranstalter ein weiteres Team. Bislang wurden zwei Teams bekannt gegeben. [08. April 2015] Für Kroatien gehen Karlo Dalmatin und Philipp Stojanovic an den Start. Leider musste Ivica Putnik seine Teilnahme am Nation Cup 2015 absagen. Seinen Platz wird Karlo Dalmatin einnehmen. Der Bundesligaspieler vom PBC Schwerte ist derzeit mit seiner Mannschaft in der 1. 06/04/2015 In less than a week from now, one of the most prestigious events in European Pool Billiard will begin. Starting Saturday, April 12th with the straight pool competition, the Dynamic Billard European Championships for Men, Women and Wheelchair athletes will kick off. Venue will be the beautiful Ria Park Hotel in Vale do Lobo, Portugal. The tournament will once again be hosted in a lovely holiday environment which will definitely benefit the player’s leisure time activities. A total of 184 players from 36 European countries will be on the mark when the EPBF will fire the starting pistol. The complete event schedule can be viewed at the event website at www.epconline.eu.
