The Dynamic Eurotour – Dutch Open – 1-4 oct 2014 03/10/2014 Alexander Kazakis (GRE) got the better of Karl Boyes (GBR), ousting the Brit with 9:8 from the Dynamic Billard Dutch Open Euro-Tour event in Leende, The Netherlands. Kazakis got drawn into the round of the last 32 players since he lost in the winner’s qualification round to his friend and teammate Nikos Ekonomopoulos (GRE) with 6:9. However, Boyes was the seeded player who came undefeated through the loser’s round. He surely was the favored player in this match. But having in mind the high level and widely spread quality of the Euro-Tour players, nothing can be taken for granted these days. Kazakis has earned his merits in the past and is known to be a fighter. And the match turned out to be a tough fight. Both players did not give anything away for free. Oktober 2014 finden in Leende bei Eindhoven die Dutch Open 2014 statt. Einen Tag früher als gewohnt beginnt dieser Euro-Tour Stop bereits an einem Mittwoch. Es stehen im Hotel Golden Tulip Jagershorst lediglich elf Pool Billard Tische zur Verfügung, das zwingt die EPBF (European Pocket Billiard Federation) dazu einen Tag früher mit den ersten Runden zu beginnen. Dieser Euro-Tour Stop hat bereits jetzt mehr als 150 Teilnehmer und den größten Anteil mit knapp 30 Spielern stellen natürlich die Niederländer um 9 Ball Weltmeister Niels Feijen und dem führenden im Euro-Tour Ranking Nick van den Berg. Dennis Orcollo (PHI) gewinnt 5th Annual Hard Times 10 Ball Open 2014 im Finale gegen Ruben Bautista (PHI) mit 11-9. Den 3. Platz belegt Warren Kiamco (PHI). Am nächsten Wochenende findet in Bellflower/Kalifornien die 5. Ausgabe der Hard Times 10 Ball Open statt. In der Zeit vom 11. – 13. Juli 2014 treffen sich in einer der beliebtesten Billardhallen Amerikas viele internationale Topstars der Szene. Die Hard Times Open waren bereits im letzten Jahr ein sehr erfolgreiches Turnier mit einem ziemlich starken Teilnehmerfeld. 2013 gewann das Finale Carlo Biado von den Philippinen gegen Alex Pagulayan aus Kanada mit 11-1. Gespielt wird dieses Jahr ein 96er Teilnehmerfeld in einem Double Elimination System bis zum Finale. Alle Matches werden auf 9 Gewinnspiele gespielt. Platz belegen Elmer D. Haya (PHI) und China Open 2014 Champion Chang Yu-Lung (TPE). Ab dem 16. Juni 2014 findet in Doha/Katar die 2014 WPA World 9 Ball Championship statt. Die 9 Ball Weltmeisterschaft der Herren gilt zusammen mit den China Open als eines der interessantesten und spannendsten Pool Billard Events im ganzen Jahr. Bis zum 27. Morgen beginnt in Amagasaki City, Hyogo/Japan die 46. Ausgabe der All Japan Championship 2013. Bei diesem recht hoch dotierten Turnier in Japan ist es jedes Jahr aufs Neue sehr schwer an Informationen zu kommen. Scheinbar legt man in Japan keinerlei Wert darauf das die Pool Billard Seiten dieser Welt mit Informationen versorgt werden. Leider wird auch auf Emails in keinster Weise geantwortet.
