2014 World Cup of Pool – Euro Qualifier starts tomorrow 18 August – 2014 World Cup of Pool – Euro Qualifier set for Slovenia THE EUROPEAN QUALIFYING event for the 2014 World Cup of Pool gets underway tomorrow (Tuesday) in Portoroz, Slovenia with a first round match-up against China awaiting the victors. There are eight two-man teams taking part with the winning team gaining a sport at the Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth where the World Cup takes place from 23rd to 28th September. With a $250,000 prize fund on offer, there will be everything to play for and the European qualifiers have got a superb record of upsetting the odds in recent years. 3rd March, 2014 PartyPoker.com Mosconi Cup Universe Announced as Official Clothing Supplier of Mosconi Cup XXI Matchroom Sport is delighted to announce Universe Clothing as the Official Clothing Supplier of the 2014 PartyPoker.com Mosconi Cup. The Georgia-based operation will be responsible for the design, manufacturing and retailing of all players’ shirts for 21st running of pool’s transatlantic team showdown. This will mark the first time in the event’s illustrious history that replica team shirts will be available to the fans to show which team they support. Team Europe gewinnt Mosconi Cup 2013 gegen Team USA mit 11-2. MVP der Veranstaltung wurde völlig verdient Niels Feijen (NED). Vom 02. – 05. Dezember 2013 findet in Las Vegas/USA die 20. Auflage des legendären Mosconi Cups statt. Die diesjährige Jubiläumsausgabe der Matchroom Sport Topveranstaltung wird erneut alle Pool Billard Fans und Begeisterten mobilisieren. Dieser Nationenvergleich hat den gleichen Stellenwert wie z.B. im Golfsport der Ryder Cup. In diesem Jahr konnten sich die Spieler nicht anhand von Leistungen auf den Major Events qualifizieren. Der Veranstalter Matchroom Sport hat alle 10 Spieler selbst nominiert für den Mosconi Cup 2013. In den letzten 3 Jahren gewann Team Europa den Mosconi Cup ziemlich souverän, doch diesmal wird es für die Europäer um Team Captain Johan Ruijsink sicherlich ein wenig schwerer werden. Die Amerikaner machen in diesem Jahr einen sehr selbstbewussten Eindruck und scheinen fest entschlossen den Cup nach Amerika zurückzuholen. Niels Feijen (NED) gewinnt 2013 PartyPoker.com World Pool Masters im Finale gegen Darren Appleton (GBR) mit 8-6 und sichert sich damit den ersten World Pool Masters Titel seiner Karriere. In einem sehr spannenden Finale sind Lee Vann Corteza und Dennis Orcollo ein wenig stabiler und gewinnen gegen Nick van den Berg und Niels Feijen hochverdient. Den 3. September 2013 findet in der Londoner York Hall das wohl aufregendste Pool Billard Event des Jahres statt, der World Cup of Pool. Nach 6 Jahren kehrt die Matchroom Sport Veranstaltung zurück in die legendäre York Hall. An die Stätte, in der im letzten Dezember die Europäer beim Mosconi Cup erfolgreich waren. World Cup of Pool 2013 Live bei Sport1

Der in der Zeit vom 17. – 22. September 2013 stattfindende World Cup of Pool wird Live von Sport1 übertragen. Das Pool Billard Doppelevent der Extraklasse wird in der York Hall in London ausgetragen und 31 Nationen kämpfen um eine der begehrtesten Trophäen, die es im Pool Billard Sport gibt. Zu sehen ist das Turnier bei Sport1 im kostenlosen Internet Livestream und ab dem Viertelfinale auch im Free TV. Kommentiert wird das Pool Billard Spektakel von Sport1 Kommentator Sebastian Bernsdorff und Pool Billard Bundestrainer Andreas Huber. Ich bin gespannt auf die Übertragung des Senders und ob man es schafft die außergewöhnliche Atmosphäre des World Cup of Pool einzufangen. Es bleibt abzuwarten, in welchem Umfang die Partien gesendet werden. Ich bin recht optimistisch das sich zumindest im Livestream die Werbeblöcke in Grenzen halten 😉 Allerdings legt der Veranstalter Matchroom Sport großen Wert darauf, dass die Veranstaltung im Mittelpunkt steht und vernünftig präsentiert wird.
