Warren Kiamco (PHI) gewinnt 3rd Annual Steinway Classic 2014 im Finale gegen Dennis Hatch (USA) mit 13-11. Den 3. Platz belegt Shaun Wilkie (USA). Die 3. Auflage des jedes Jahr sehr gut besetzten Steinway Classic findet am kommenden Wochenende vom 02. – 03. August 2014 statt. Im sehr beliebten Steinway Billiards in Queens/New York wird auch die 3. Auflage mit vielen internationalen Topspielern begeistern können. Das Steinway Classic ist Teil der Predator Pro/AM Tour und Titelverteidiger ist Shane Van Boening. Die Nr. 1 der Amerikaner bezwang im Vorjahr die Pool Billard Legende Earl „The Pearl“ Strickland im Finale mit 15-11. 2014 kommen wieder einige weitere prominente Namen hinzu und es gibt Added Money von 7.000$ zum Gesamtpreisgeld. Im Anschluss an diese Veranstaltung findet im Steinway Billiards das World Tournament of 14.1 (04. – 09. August 2014) statt und somit haben viele Teilnehmer die Chance sich auf die Gegebenheiten am Spielort einzustellen. Jason Klatt (CAN) gewinnt Memphis Open 2014 (10 Ball) im Finale gegen Justin Bergman (USA) mit 2-0 Sätzen (17-14, 17-12). Den 3. Platz belegt Johnny Archer (USA). Heute beginnen in Memphis/Tennessee die Memphis Open 2014. Diese Veranstaltung geht bis zum 27. Juli und besteht aus insgesamt drei Wettbewerben. Den Anfang macht vom 23. – 25. Juli die in Amerika sehr beliebte Disziplin One Pocket und anschließend folgen ein 10 Ball Event (25. – 27. Juli) für Pro’s und ein 9 Ball Event (26. – 27. Juli) für Amateure. Als Amateur gilt man in den USA, wenn man nicht an den großen Preisgeldturnieren teilnimmt und eher in die Kategorie Freizeitspieler fällt. Die beiden Pro Events One Pocket und 10 Ball Open sind sehr gut besetzt, auch wenn die Teilnehmerfelder begrenzt sind und relativ klein. Niels Feijen (NED) gewinnt 2014 WPA World 9 Ball Championship im Finale gegen Albin Ouschan (AUT) mit 13-10 und sichert sich den begehrtesten Pool Billard Titel der Welt. Den 3. Platz belegen Elmer D. Haya (PHI) und China Open 2014 Champion Chang Yu-Lung (TPE). Ab dem 16. Juni 2014 findet in Doha/Katar die 2014 WPA World 9 Ball Championship statt. 21st March, 2014 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup Wilson names USA Squad FOLLOWING ON from his appointment in January, 2014 USA PartyPoker Mosconi Cup captain MARK WILSON today names his squad of eight players who will be tasked with winning pool’s most prestigious team trophy for the first time since 2009. Dennis Orcollo (PHI) gewinnt 18th Annual Jay Swanson Memorial 9 Ball Tournament 2014 im Finale gegen Mika Immonen (FIN) mit 11-5. Den 3. Platz belegt Carlo Biado (PHI). Vom 15. – 16. Februar 2014 findet in einer der bekanntesten Billardhallen in den USA die 18. Ausgabe des Jay Swanson Memorial 9 Ball Tournament 2014 statt. Dieses 9 Ball Event im Hard Times Billiards in Bellflower hat eine lange Tradition und ist jedes Jahr recht gut besetzt. Auch in diesem Jahr befinden sich einige internationale Topstars der Pool Billard Szene im 128 Spieler starken Teilnehmerfeld. Darunter sind Namen wie Dennis Orcollo (PHI), Dennis Hatch (USA), John Morra (CAN), Brandon Shuff (USA), Mitch Ellerman (USA), Louis Ulrich (USA), Hunter Lombardo (USA), Oscar Dominguez (USA) und Mika Immonen (FIN). Shane Van Boening (USA) gewinnt US Open 9 Ball Championships 2013 im Finale gegen Lee Vann Corteza (PHI) mit 13-10. Den 3. Platz belegt Jayson Shaw (SCO)! Die 38. Ausgabe der US Open 9 Ball Championships findet vom 13. – 19. Oktober 2013 im Marriott Hotel in Chesapeake statt. Stand heute, den 12. Oktober sind mehr als 160 Teilnehmer gemeldet. Dieses sehr traditionsreiche Pool Billard 9 Ball Turnier ist dass einzige weltweit das seit mehr als 30 Jahren ohne Unterbrechung stattfindet. Es gilt als eines der am schwersten zu gewinnenden Turniere überhaupt und hat den Stellenwert einer Weltmeisterschaft. Der erste Sieger der US Open 9 Ball 1976 war Mike Sigel (USA). Der erste Europäer, der dieses Turnier gewann ist der Deutsche Ralf Souquet. Er ist damit in der Geschichte dieses Turniers einer von lediglich drei Europäern, die die US Open 9 Ball gewinnen konnten. Die gesamte Siegerliste gibt es weiter unter. September 2013 findet in Verona/New York die 21. Ausgabe des Turning Stone Classic statt. Im Turning Stone Resort & Casino werden erneut 128 Spieler um das Gesamtpreisgeld von 41.000$ spielen. Das Turning Stone Classic bietet stets ein sehr starkes Teilnehmerfeld in einer tollen Location. Leider wird diese Ausgabe ein wenig im Schatten des Zeitgleich stattfindenden World Cup of Pool 2013 stehen, aber einige der besten US Profis werden sicher für sehr interessante Matches sorgen.
