Austrian Open 2015

Niels Feijen (NED) gewinnt Austrian Open 2015 im Finale gegen Joshua Filler (GER) mit 9-7. Den 3. Platz belegen Sebastian Ludwig (GER) und Francisco Diaz-Pizarro (SPA). Im Anschluss an die derzeit laufende Pool Billard Europameisterschaft der Junioren in Österreich findet der 4. Euro-Tour Stopp der Saison statt. Im sehr schönen Alpina Sporthotel in St. Johann haben sich bislang mehr als 230 Teilnehmer gemeldet und diese werden vom 30. Juli – 01. August 2015 um das Gesamtpreisgeld von 34.000€ spielen. Die letzte Euro-Tour fand zuletzt Anfang Juni im nordhessischen Baunatal statt und der Gewinner der German Open 2015 hieß am Ende Petri Makkonen aus Finnland, er bezwang im Finale Konrad Juszczyszyn aus Polen mit 9-3. Wir sind gespannt ob Petri Makkonen seine gute Form halten konnte und auch in St. Johann eine Siegchance haben wird. Die insgesamt mehr als 230 Meldungen sind ein Ausrufezeichen, das die Euro-Tour, entgegen vieler Aussagen, am Ende ist. Atlantic Challenge Cup 2015

Team Europa gewinnt Atlantic Challenge Cup 2015 gegen Team USA mit 11-9. Vom 01. – 04. Juli 2015 findet in Rankweil/Österreich die erste Ausgabe des Atlantic Challenge Cup 2015 statt. Das große Vorbild dieser Veranstaltung ist der von Matchroom Sport organisierte Mosconi Cup. Der Mosconi Cup gehört zu den Top Pool Billard Veranstaltungen des Jahres und überzeugt durch sein Format, die Stimmung und den Kampf zwischen den USA und Europa. Der Atlantic Challenge Cup 2015 ist ein Team Pool Billard Event, an dem die besten Junioren aus den USA und einige der besten Junioren aus Europa teilnehmen werden. Die Teams der USA und Europas bestehen jeweils aus 6 Spielern. Für die USA werden bei diesem Pool Billard Vergleichskampf Tyler Brandom, Nick Evans, Joshua Franklin, Drake Niepoetter, Taylor Hansen und April Larson an den Start gehen. Sicherlich sind die Namen dieser Auswahl den meisten relativ unbekannt. Brother-sister duel in the Euro-Tour The Dynamic Eurotour – Slovenia Open – 21-24 aug 2014 21/08/2014 The Dynamic Billard Slovenian Open had a novelty today: For the first time, brother and sister met in the second winner’s round. We are talking about Jasmin and Albin Ouschan from Austria. They both had a walk-over in the first round. Then, in the first winner’s round, Jasmin defeated Andrey Seroshtan (RUS) 9:5 while Albin overcame Michael Lichodziejewski (POL) 9:7. This brought the two together in winner’s round two. They started out quite equally. Then, Jasmin committed two mistakes which was enough for her brother to snatch the needed points off her, winning the match with 9:4. „When we saw we had to play each other, we had to laugh“, stated Albin after the match. „Jasmin and I have played each other in competition six or seven years ago for the last time“. Slovenian Open 2014

Denis Grabe (EST) gewinnt Slovenian Open 2014 im Finale gegen Marc Bijsterbosch (NED) mit 9-4. Den 3. Platz teilen sich Mats Schjetne (NOR) und Marcus Chamat (SWE). Der nächste Euro-Tour Stop 2014 findet direkt nach den Europameisterschaften der Jugendlichen und Senioren in Portoroz/Slowenien statt. In der Zeit vom 21. – 23. August 2014 trifft sich in Portoroz bei den Slovenian Open 2014 mal wieder annähernd die Gesamte europäischen Pool Billard Elite. Die letzte Euro-Tour Veranstaltung im Mai fand in Österreich statt und die Austria Open 2014 gewann Denis Grabe (EST) im Finale gegen Nikos Ekonomopoulos (GRE) mit 9-1. Natürlich ist auch diese Euro-Tour teil des Mosconi Cup Rankings 2014. Für dieses Ranking des beliebtesten Pool Billard Events des Jahres werden Punkte verteilt und die ersten drei werden direkt nominiert für das Team Europa Anfang Dezember. Filler, Dudanets and Khodjaeva win the 10-ball competition The Dynamic European Championships – Youth, Seniors & Ladies Portoroz, Slovenia – 1-16 aug 2014 04/08/2014 Three more Gold Medals have been awarded at the Dynamic Billard European Championships Youth in Hotel Bernadin in Portoroz, Slovenia. In the Under 17’s, Maksim Dudanets (RUS) defeated Eklent Kaci (ALB) in the final with 6:3. Kaci had been a serious outsider. But nevertheless he had earned his place in this final against Dudanets. Victories over Jan van Lierop (NED) with 6:3,  Marsel Safiullin (RUS) with 6:4 and young Kestutis Zadeikis (LIT) with 6:1 paved his way into the final match. His opponent however was the clear favorite. Dudanets ousted Patrick Hofmann (GER) 6:0, Konrad Kleinszmit (POL) 6:3 and Wiktor Zielinski (POL) with 6:5 on his way to the championship match. Filler and Maciol grab the Gold Medals The Dynamic European Championships – Youth, Seniors & Ladies Portoroz, Slovenia – 1-16 aug 2014 02/08/2014 The first medals have been awarded at the 2014 Dynamic Billard European Youth Championships in Portoroz, Slovenia. Joshua Filler (GER) won the juniors division while Daniel Maciol (POL) took the title in the pupils division. Filler has been one of the favorite players in the event. Being the defending champion in the pupils, he played his first year in the juniors division since he has reached the age limit. But also in the juniors, no one was able to stop Filler. He eliminated Tian Zhang (SWE) in the semi-final with 100:67 and won the final match over Spasian Spasov (BUL) with 100:47. Spasov, who overcame Daniel Tangudd (SWE) in the semi-final, was the underdog in the final. He fought his way through the chart and the second place is definitely a huge success for the Bulgarian. High quality matches in juniors and pupils straight pool on day 1 The Dynamic European Championships – Youth, Seniors & Ladies Portoroz, Slovenia – 1-16 aug 2014 01/08/2014 In the juniors division, last year’s most successful player Joshua Filler (GER) played for the first time just coming out of the pupils. His play was as strong as it used to be. The young German who also participates in the men’s Euro-Tour at times won all his matches today with clear results. He defeated Patryk Statkiewicz (POL) 100:28, Andreas Madsen (DEN) 100:47, Klemen Gradisnik (SLO) 100:44 and in the quarter-final match Pawel Kaczmarek (POL) 100:26 even. He will meet Tian Zhang (SWE) in tomorrow’s semi-final at 17:30 CET. Zhang surprisingly ousted Raphael Wahl (GER) in his quarter-final match with 100:82. The second semi-final will be played between Spasian Spasov (BUL) and Daniel Tangudd (SWE). In that match, Tangudd definitely is the player who could be regarded as the favorite. Gold medals for Ivanovskaia, Filler and Tangudd

Surprising results in the finals Sarajevo,  Bosnia  &  Hercegovina:  While  the  favored  player  won  the pupil’s division, the winners in the other division were a bit of a surprise. The pupil’s division was  dominated by  Joshua Filler (GER). He was never really  endangered  and  made  his way  to  the  title  with  a  superior performance.  His  opponent  in  the final  match,  Oliver  Szolnoki (HUN) did his  best  to challenge Filler  and make  his  life  as  hard  as  possible but in in the end he had to let Filler take the crown with a 6:4 victory in the final. In  the  girl’s match, the favored  player got beaten.  Kamila Khodjaeva (BEL) who has already snatched  the crown in  10-ball  this week, played a close match with Veronika Ivanovskaia (GER). Both girls did not want to show any  weaknesses but the pressure was on for both of them. Some small mistakes  were committed on both sides but Ivanovskaia managed to get back on track first. Gold Medals for Khodjaeva, Guttenberger and Andreuzzi

10-ball competition finished at Youth EC Sarajevo,  Bosnia & Hercegovina: The finals of  the 10-ball  competitions have been decided. In  the  girl’s   division,  favored Kamila Khodjaeva (BEL) overcame  Germany’s  Veronika Ivanovskaia with 5:3. In  the  pupil’s  division,  Daniel Guttenberger  (AUT)  snatched  the gold  medal,  handing  a  6:1  defeat to  brave  Kamil  Szaszor  (POL). Both  players  came  to  the  final match very much unexpected. In  the  junior’s  division,  Nino Andreuzzi  (GER)  really  had  to work to claim his medal against Daniel Tangudd (SWE). He needed 13 racks to bring the second gold medal to Germany with 7:6. That puts Germany in first place of the medal table after two of five events. The Dynamic  Billard EPBF  European  Championships  Youth will  continue tomorrow morning at 09:00 CET with the 8-ball competition.
