Thorsten Hohmann (GER) gewinnt The 75th World Tournament of 14.1 2015 im Finale gegen Titelverteidiger Darren Appleton (GBR) mit 300-244. Den 3. Platz belegen Reiner Wirsbitzki (GER) und Warren Kiamco (PHI). Am nächsten Montag startet in New York die 75. Ausgabe des World Tournament of 14.1 (Straight Pool). Vom 13. – 19. Juli 2015 werden im sehr bekannten Steinway Billiards viele der Besten Straight Pool Spieler der Welt an den Start gehen. Dieses von Dragon Promotions organisierte Pool Billard Event zählt zu den letzten wirklich großen 14.1 Veranstaltungen auf der ganzen Welt. Im Grunde ist diese Disziplin ziemlich stark vom Aussterben bedroht, wenn man sich die weltweite Turnierlandschaft anschaut. Irrtümlicherweise wird das World Tournament of 14.1 oft als Weltmeisterschaft bezeichnet. Dafür müsste es von der World Pool Billiard Association unterstützt werden und das Preisgeld eine bestimmte Höhe haben. Natürlich gibt es seitens der WPA noch einige Auflagen mehr, damit dieses 14.1 Turnier als offizielle WM durchgeht. Albin Ouschan (AUT) gewinnt World 9 Ball China Open 2015 im Finale gegen John Morra (CAN) mit 11-8. Den 3. Platz belegen Nick van den Berg (NED) und Chu Bingjie (CHN). Bei den Damen gewinnt Ga Young Kim (KOR) im Finale gegen Fu Xiaofang (CHN) mit 9-6. Den 3. Platz belegen Chen Siming (CHN) und Yu Han (CHN). Am Sonntag, den 28. Juni 2015 startet in Shanghai/China eines der größten und prestigeträchtigsten Pool Billard Turniere auf der ganzen Welt. Die World 9 Ball China Open 2015 sind nach der 9 Ball Weltmeisterschaft das wohl spannendste und härteste Turnier, welches ein Pool Billard Spieler bestreiten kann. Bis zum Finaltag am 05. Juli 2015 wird bei den China Open so ziemlich die ganze Weltelite bei Damen und Herren an den Tischen gestanden haben. Dennis Orcollo (PHI) gewinnt Open 10 Ball Pro Players Championship 2015 im Finale gegen Jayson Shaw (SCO) mit 13-12. Den 3. Platz belegt Shane Van Boening (USA). Eine der größten Billardveranstaltung auf der ganzen Welt startet am 16. April 2015. Die 23. Super Billiards Expo in Oaks, in der nähe von Philadelphia/USA, lockt jedes Jahr Tausende von Besuchern in das Greater Philadelphia Expo Center. Die Super Billiards Expo ist die wohl größte Billardmesse auf der Welt und es wird den Zuschauern eine Menge geboten. Viele der renommiertesten Billard Firmen werden Ihre Produkte präsentieren und selbstverständlich findet man an fast allen Ständen viele der gefragtesten Pool Professionals. Auch der deutsche Queuehersteller Arthur Queue wird in Philadelphia viele seiner erstklassigen Pool Billard Queues ausstellen. Arthur Queue bzw. Four (4) matches featuring Justin Bergman, Corey Deuel, Shane Van Boening, and Dennis Orcollo can be viewed in their entirety absolutely free! The 2014 US Open One Pocket Championship was held February 24-28, 2014 in conjunction with the US Bar Table Championships (USBTC) at the Grand Sierra Resort & Casino in Reno, NV. The last few years, however, saw the man known affectionately as “Napoleon” stay closer to his home of Gavle, Sweden. As a single father to a young boy and a pool club to administer, the calling of the brutally tough international pool circuit had to take a back seat. The Philippines Dennis Orcollo wins his second straight 9-8 match in as many days to advance to the knockout stage of the 2015 World 10-ball Championship in General Santos City. Day 1 at the 2015 MP Cup World 10-ball Championship in General Santos City sees some favorites cruise while others struggle to find their form. But as the 2015 MP Cup World 10-ball championship kicked off on Tuesday in the Philippines southernmost city of General Santos, it was not the usual nerve rattling pressure that makes grown men cry and brings back the fans time and again that was on display. Ko Pin-Yi (TPE) gewinnt 2015 WPA World 10 Ball Championship im Finale gegen Carlo Biado (PHI) mit 11-9. Den 3. Platz belegen David Alcaide (SPA) und Ko Ping-Chung (TPE). Bereits seit dem 15. Februar 2015 findet in General Santos City auf den Philippinen die 2015 WPA World 10 Ball Championship statt. Diese Pool Billard Weltmeisterschaft bekommt leider in diesem Jahr nicht die Aufmerksamkeit, die sie eigentlich verdient. Wir haben mittlerweile mehr als 150 Emails mit Fragen zu dieser WM bekommen und leider ist die Antwort bislang immer die gleiche gewesen: „Wir haben leider so gut wie keine Informationen seitens der WPA oder des Veranstalters bekommen!“ Das ist wirklich mehr als traurig und wird einer solchen Veranstaltung nicht gerecht. Es gab keine Teilnehmerlisten, es gibt keine offizielle Website, kein Plakat oder irgendwelche Randnotizen. Nun, das zeigt erneut, wie es um die „Top-Events“ in dieser Welt oft bestellt ist. CueSports International, Henderson, Nevada (January 27, 2015) – CSI is pleased to announce that the 2014 CSI Invitational 8-Ball Championship matches have been released on the CSI YouTube channel. Fifteen (15) matches featuring some of the best players in the world, all filmed in the Predator Arena, can be viewed in their entirety absolutely free! The format consisted of four groups of four players each competing in a round robin format. Each group contained one player from each region – North America, Europe, Philippines, and Taiwan. The top finisher from each group moved into a single elimination finals bracket.
