Kazakis, Khodjaeva and Tahti grab the 10-ball titles

17/04/2015 The newly crowned Dynamic Billard European Champions in 10-ball are Alexander Kazakis (GRE), Kamila Khodjaeva (BEL) and Jouni Tahti (FIN). Men’s division The story of the final match is quickly told. It was a close combat between Francisco Diaz (ESP) and Kazakis. They were taking racks in turn. At 6:5 to Kazakis, Diaz played a bad safety shot and left a possible shot for Kazakis. The Greek went for it, made it and went on the hill 7:5. There again, a safety battle occurred. Diaz played an unforced error on the 3-ball and gave ball in hand to Kazakis. That was enough for Kazakis to win his first title with 8:5 at European Championship level. In the earlier rounds today, defending Champion David Alcaide (ESP) had hard work to do. In the round of the last 64 players, he just sneaked past Germany’s Sebastian Ludwig with an 8:7 victory. European Championships for Men, Women and Wheelchair athletes to start soon

06/04/2015 In less than a week from now, one of the most prestigious events in European Pool Billiard will begin. Starting Saturday, April 12th with the straight pool competition, the Dynamic Billard European Championships for Men, Women and Wheelchair athletes will kick off. Venue will be the beautiful Ria Park Hotel in Vale do Lobo, Portugal. The tournament will once again be hosted in a lovely holiday environment which will definitely benefit the player’s leisure time activities. A total of 184 players from 36 European countries will be on the mark when the EPBF will fire the starting pistol. The complete event schedule can be viewed at the event website at www.epconline.eu. The Championships will contain straight pool, 10-ball, 8-ball, 9-ball and team matches. The complete creme de la creme of European Pool will be in Vale do Lobo to joust for the title. Europe Announces Atlantic Challenge Cup Team To Face America

04/04/2015 The European Pocket Billiard Federation today announced its team to face the Americans during the inaugural staging of the Atlantic Challenge Cup starting on the 1st July, 2015. There is a formidable duo of Germans in Joshua Filler & Raphael Wahl, who both picked up double gold’s at last year’s European championships. Another duo, this time all the way from Russia, sees European Girls 8-ball Champion, Kristina Tkach, and the #34 ranked player, therefore the highest ranked youth player on the Eurotour,Maxim Dudanets make the team. With the team consisting of four boys and two girls, there was still one spot in each category to fill. Finalizing the girls’ roster is the Belarusian Marharyta Fefilava, with her silver medal at the 9-ball girls Youth EC in 2014. The final boys’ spot goes to Sweden’s Daniel Tangudd who qualified through the Eurotour rankings due to the double winners of Joshua & Raphael. 24/03/2015 Junior players to compete annually in Europe versus USA competition The European Pocket Billiard Federation and the Billiard Congress of America, the governing bodies of pool in their respective regions and two of the founding members of the World Pool-Billiard Association, today announced a joint venture in the promotion of junior pool. Beginning in 2015, a Mosconi Cup style event for junior players will be held. Two teams consisting of four boys and two girls will represent Europe and America and do battle from July 1 – 4, 2015 on European soil in Rankweil, Austria in the inaugural staging of the Atlantic Challenge Cup between Europe and America. Caroline Roos (SWE) gewinnt Italy Women Open 2015 im Finale gegen Ana Gradisnik (SLO) mit 7-6. Den 3. Platz belegen Jasmin Michel (GER) und Sandra Baumgartner (AUT). Auch bei den Damen kommt es am kommenden Wochenende zum ersten Euro-Tour Stop der Saison 2015. Vom 07. – 08. März 2015 werden einige der besten europäischen Pool Billard Spielerinnen auf die Jagd nach einer der begehrten Euro-Tour Titel gehen und natürlich um viele wertvolle Punkte im Gesamtranking kämpfen. Die Italy Women Open 2015 finden in Verona statt und der Spielort ist die Pool Hall Orsi, dass Gesamtpreisgeld beträgt 3.000 Euro. Bislang sind 45 Teilnehmerinnen für dieses 9 Ball Damen Pool Billard Turnier gemeldet. Feijen wins Dynamic Billard Italian Open

Italian Open 2015 – 28/02/2015 With a clear 9:2 victory over Nick Malai (GRE) in the final match, Niels Feijen (NED) took the title of the Dynamic Billard Italian Open Champion 2015 at the Best Western Premium BHR Hotel in Treviso, Italy, today. Feijen left no chance for Malai in the final. In the beginning, Malai missed some easy shots which was punished by Feijen straight away. It looked like Malai got really frustrated, being in his chair for so long watching Feijen take rack after rack. In fact, Malai could not get a foot on the floor in the final match. Therefore, the result of 9:2 in favor of Feijen is fully deserved. After winning the 9-Ball World Championships and the straight pool European Championships last year, Feijen had his last Euro-Tour victory in June 2013 in Austria. Souquet prevents van den Berg from taking another title in Treviso

Italian Open 2015 – 27/02/2015 Ralf Souquet (GER), BCA Hall of Famer, has just ousted current number one Euro-Tour player Nick van den Berg (NED) with a very convincing 9:4 victory in the single elimination round of the final 32 players. Many people said that this would have been a nice final match for the Dynamic Billard Italian Open 2015. Souquet versus van den Berg is alway promising high class pool billiard. And that’s what it was this time, too. However, it was a bit one sided. Van den Berg made some mistakes in the early stage of the match whereas Souquet performed rock solid and left no doubts that he is on a mission here in Treviso. „I think I really played a pretty good match here“ stated Souquet, „I felt very confident and I guess the score of 9:4 says it all“. Souquet will now proceed to the round of the last 16 players which will be played tomorrow morning at 10:00 CET where he will have to deal with Philipp Stojanovic (CRO). […]

Niels Feijen (NED) gewinnt Italian Open 2015 im Finale gegen Nick Malaj (GRE) mit 9-2. Den 3. Platz belegen Karl Boyes (GBR) und Mario He (AUT). Die Euro-Tour startet in das Jahr 2015 mit ihrem ersten Tour-Stop in Treviso. Die Italian Open 2015 finden vom 26. – 28. Februar im BHR Hotel in Treviso statt. Dieser Spieltort war bereits beim letzten Euro-Tour Event im Dezember Austragungsort und wird von der EPBF immer wieder gerne ausgesucht. Die Treviso Open 2014 gewann der derzeitige Leader im Euro-Tour Ranking Nick van den Berg (NED) im Finale gegen den amtierenden 9 Ball Weltmeister Niels Feijen (NED) mit 9-3. Nick van den Berg konnte damit bereits seinen neunten Euro-Tour Sieg feiern und liegt in dieser Bestenliste bereits auf Platz 4. Jasmin Ouschan grabs another tournament and tour title

The Dynamic Eurotour – Treviso Women Open – 13-14 dec 2014 14/12/2014 Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) just won the women Euro-Tour in Treviso, Italy. She defeated Ina Kaplan (GER) clearly with 7:2 in the final match. Ouschan did not have smooth sailing in the tournament. To the contrary, she lost her first match with Oliwia Czuprynska (POL) 5:7 and had to make her way all through the loser’s side. She did so and came up with an impressing performance: victories over Louise Furberg (SWE) 7:1, Kristina Zlateva (BEL) 7:1, Ouija Tiihonen (FIN) 7:1, Ana Mazhirina (RUS) 7:2 and again Oliwia Czuprynska (POL) 7:6 booked her a seat in the final match with Ina Kaplan. Kaplan had defeated Katarzyna Wesolowska (POL) in the semi-final with 7:2. With this victory, Ouschan also wins the 2014 of the EPBF Women’s Euro-Tour. Nick van den Berg wins Dynamic Billard Treviso Open

The Dynamic Eurotour – Treviso Open – 11-13 dec 2014 13/12/2014 Nick van den Berg (NED) just won the Dynamic Billard Treviso Open with a convincing 9:3 victory over his teammate Niels Feijen (NED). The tournament was not only smooth sailing for van den Berg. He did have a comfortable lead in the rankings but he knew that he was wanted by many other players. In the early stage, van den Berg had some close matches. He even lost 7:9 to Oliver Ortmann (GER) in the winner’s qualification round. But today, seemed to be unstoppable. He smashed Andrey Seroshtan (RUS) 9:1 in the quarter-finals, just to overpower unheralded Kevin Becker (GER) in the semi-final with 9:4. That earned him a seat in the final match. His opponent there was no other than „The Terminator“ Niels Feijen, current World Champion. Feijen made his way today with victories over Albin Ouschan (AUT) 9:6, and a heartbreaking 9:8 over young Spaniard Francisco Sanchez Ruiz.
