Jasmin Ouschan conquers another title for her collection

28/02/2016 Jasmin Ouschan conquers another title for her collection Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) just won the Dynamic Billard Italian Open for Women in Treviso, Italy, with an easy 7:1 victory over Christine Wiechert (GER). It was Wiechert’s first appearance in a Euro-Tour final and she has had already several tough matches behind her so she seemed to be a bit tired and worn out already. Her opponent was completely the opposite. Ouschan is used to final matches and TV settings and long final days so she was very much on top of her game. That constellation was proven to be true during the final match. Wiechert seems to be out of power. Trailing 0:2 to strong Ouschan, she even missed an easy 9-ball. That was probably a crucial point in the match. From then on, the mistakes accumulated and Wiechert could not find any remedy against her strong opponent. Ouschan switched to „business-as-usual“ mode and took rack after rack. In the end, the final result of 7:1 in favor of Ouschan is a true display of […]

Magnificent standard of performance in Treviso

25/02/2016 Magnificent standard of performance in Treviso The first day of the Dynamic Billard Italian Open in the BHR Best Western Hotel in Treviso, Italy, has proven one thing for sure: the level and standard of European pool billiards is extremely high. Clear victories were presented by two European star players who have decided to live in the United States these days. Mika Immonen (FIN) and Jayson Shaw (SCO) have attended the Euro-Tour since an absence of many years in order to find out about the competition level in Europe. „Iceman“ Immonen, who has participated in the Euro-Tour since its beginning in the early 90’s and is living in the US for many years now, whipped Rafig Adigazalov (EST) 9:1 and then remained the upper hand over Mateusz Sniegocki (POL) 9:7. „Eagle-eye“ Jayson Shaw had a bit more work to do today. His first round match against Guilherme Sousa (POR) finished quite clearly with 9:4 in favor of Shaw. Then the Scotsman had to face Estonia’s Denis Grabe. That match went hill-hill and Shaw was […]

Global8Ball.com – Play our Way!

Grim sends Chawki home

26/11/2015 The Dynamic Billard Treviso Open has begun today and already several upsets have taken place. One spectacular match was the encounter between Kristina Grim (GER) and Jim Chawki (SWE). Grim managed to win that match with 9:8. From the very beginning it could be seen that Grim did not want to become an easy prey for Chawki in the first loser’s round. Both players had lost their opening matches and now one of them would have to be on the way home after the match. Of course, it was to be expected that Chawki would survive that round. But Grim had a furious start, taking a 4:1 lead over Chawki who committed many mistakes, miscues, and so on. After the first 5 racks, Chawki got his nerves together and got back into the match, tying it after 10 racks at 5:5. The match went along with none of the two being able to really gain an advantage over the opponent. To the contrary, both players took racks in turn and at 7:6, it was […]
